[8.0] "This was a great match. Among the various tag team partners AJ Styles has had over the years, Christopher Daniels is his best partner. If I were to rank them, I think Amazing Red would be Number 2. Red complimented AJ's style, for lack of a better term, very well, not just as opponents but as partners too. Here they defended their ROH Tag Team Championships against The Briscoes, who were very young at the time. Jay and Mark were 19 and 18 respectively, yet they were already this good. Heck, Amazing Red was only 21 and he was still very good. This was an action packed match, with various moves and some nice near falls. The finish was cool, with AJ elevating Red into Mark, who then hit a rana off the top turnbuckle and into AJ who caught him mid air with the Styles Clash. ****1/4"

[9.0] "This match is possibly one of my favorites of all time in terms of pure workrate. The oldest person in this match is AJ at 26. The Briscoes were 18 and 19, and Red was 20 or 21. This was pure magic, and aside from a couple moments that don't go insanely smooth, this match is nearly perfect."

[8.0] "Moments of rawness from 4 wrestlers at a stage of their career where they range from young to positively infantile, but moments of incredible craft beyond their years also. Keep an eye out for a wonderful improv feed spot from a Briscoe into an AJ snap powerslam on AJ's hot tag. Much will me made of the level of innovation on show here (As I write this, Ospreay, Ricochet, and Takeshita have just had a highly heralded triple threat at Wrestledream 2024, and there are spots in that match 20 years on that are present here, and arguably performed better) - but the focus should instead land on just how feral this all is. Despite the insane degree of complexity of the sequences, it never really veers into cooperative, there's always a believable layer of 4 dudes just getting in there and trying to prove that they can outbomb the other team. The way it should be. The good shit."

[8.0] "It seems to be going against the mission statement of ROH for The Briscoes to receive a tag team title shot in their first match as partners without any explanation, but considering how much better this is than ROH's previous tag team matches you won't hear any complaining from me. This match is awesome. It's a spotfest, but it's a very exciting one that is full of innovation. There are definitely some sloppy moments, but I think the match makes up got it with pure excitement. The finish is fantastic and very memorable. While ROH would go on to top this match many times over, in March of 2003 this would have to be considered the frontrunner for best tag match in the promotion's short history."

[7.0] "Could tell from this match that AJ was a future star. The match was fun and featured good creative spots like you'd expect, but there were sloppy moments, at one point Styles was the legal man but he was clotheslined out, Red then entered the ring and a pinfall was attempted on him even though there was no tag, stuff like this is really dumb."

[7.0] "It was a good debut for the Briscoes as a tag team. Jay and Mark were really good even at that young age, it's amazing. The match itself was a tag team spotfest. AJ's moves were great, really stiff strikes and some great powermoves combination, really agressive and cool stuff. Red was the weakest link of the match, I mean, some sloppy action and that Brain Damage could have killed his opponent, looked horrible. The Briscoes were great double moves, nice counters and awesome lariots and powermoves. The ending was fantastic, with Mark on the top rope, Red makes a hurricanrana into a Styles Clash by AJ for the win. It was a good spotfest and AJ and the Briscoes have some great moments, hitting good moves and dropping their opponents on the head."

[7.0] "This is largely a spotfest, and it's a good one. Everything looks good, and with AJ everything comes with a nice aggressive flavor. The finishing sequence is pretty nuts even in 2020 when tag team spotfests are overdone to death. I do think they could've sold some of the moves a bit more, as it felt like they moved onto the next ones a bit too fast at times, but yeah, all in all this was very good & fun."

[7.0] "A good debut for the Briscoes in Ring Of Honor. Mark was too young to debut before this so it was just Jay until now. Still, this was really good. The closing stretch was pretty great with chaotic spots that looked messy in an appealing way. The match did a good job of showcasing the athleticism of everyone involved with Red being pivotal early on when going against Mark Briscoe. ***1/2"

[6.0] "This was pretty good, but definitely overstayed its welcome. AJ was his angsty aggressive self, which is always a treat. Him and Mark were delivering some fantastic power moves. Red had his crazy acrobatics, though I thought he didn't get enough time to show off. Jay was pretty good, though I thought he was massively overshadowed by Mark. His selling was quite memorable, at least. That 'brain damage' move from Red was sickening, and not in a good way. It really looked like it could have easily injured Jay's neck. There were a bunch of decent tag sequences and spots but outside of AJ's crazy power moves there wasn't anything too remarkable here. Mark and Red put on some cool acrobatic exchanges at the end, which was pretty cool. I didn't need the match to last as long as it did. A condensed version at maybe 10 ish minutes would have been much more easily digestible. ***1/4"
