Marty Scurll vs. Will Ospreay

[8.0] "This was an excellent match. At the first Stacked show in 2016, Will Ospreay defeated Marty Scurll. 1 year later, things have changed with Scurll raising his stock in WCPW and Ospreay's recent run with the Swords of Essex. Now during the match where Scott Wainwright was hurt, Ospreay put on a babyface performance against War Machine. Whether that was by design or as a result of Wainwright's injury, I don't know. What I do know is that began the slow babyface turn for Ospreay. Joe Hendry, who was the WCPW and the leader of the heel faction called The Prestige, had invited Ospreay to become a member of the new stable and had joined commentary, so this match certainly had implications. The work was great, as these two had already developed some good chemistry at this point in their careers. Eventually, Scurll finished him off with a crucifix transitioned into a DDT. Post match had The Prestige attack Scurll and helping Ospreay get back on his feet. When it seemed that Ospreay would join The Prestige, he attacked them instead, cementing his turn as a babyface and his intentions of going after the WCPW Championship. ****1/4"
