[6.0] "**** A good match, they surpassed their All Out match, good chemistry, I only noticed Christian was a bit clumsy with his moves but Copeland and FTR were flowing wonderfully, good sequences, good intensity, Copeland's bleeding was very well done, good pacing from slow to fast but I never felt it was slow, good kick-outs, good finish, Copeland is left alone against FTR and tries to fight back, even avoiding a copy of the BTE Trigger and spearing both of them, but it wouldn't be enough and in a good sequence Cash avoids the spear and they hit a second Shatter Machine on Copeland to retain"

[7.0] "It kinda sucks that this match was one of my dream tag matches for years. And the two times we got it I think they've been just alright. I do like there all out match last year more then this one though. It just feels like towards the end a lot of things happen that just do not matter at all. Like a lot of these near falls are not that at all not believable and set up in a way that don't make it believable. Like the belt shot cool whatever I feel they could have just had that he the finish. But then they went for another 10 minutes. I think the blowoff could be at all in titles vs careers. (***3/4)"

[6.0] "It wasn't a bad match, but nothing about the match felt special to me. Everything they did was good, but nothing clicked for me. Maybe it's because I think there might have been a bit too much shenanigans and not much Christian, maybe it's because I don't want to see Edge in the ring in 2026, maybe it's because I feel like FTR are a bite steal right now, I don't know. Still not a bad match."
DENDY wrote on 15.04.2026:
[5.0] "I can see why this might be really enjoyable to some people, that being said it did not quite click for me. The shenanigans got a bit much without ever feeling important to the match, and the action just felt quite meandering at points. I did not think it was a bad match, but at 21 minutes it did feel bloated for what we got. FTR secured the win with a Shatter Machine on Cope, decent watch but nothing memorable."
mikewillruhl03 wrote on 15.04.2026:
[6.0] "Definitely a lethargic match here between the two much older veterans in Cope and Cage versus the tag champs in FTR. Cope gets busted open by a headshot with the tag title belt and eats a Shatter Machine, but Cage breaks the pin with Stoke. Double spear by Cope connects to both of FTR but he has taken too much damage to capitalize. Spear gets reversed into the Shatter Machine for the win and retention. Rating: ***"

[7.0] "They picked each single mistake they made in the first clash in the All Out and fixed here, thank god. That match rules, works, Cope probably had the best exhibition since he came from AEW, moving so fresh, so easy in the ring. FTR indeed connected with their opponent and the crowd understood their job, chanting for the faces and booing the shit out of the heels. Again, I do not like how he is booked as a fucking superman getting kickouts of everything while Christian Cage watches like an fucking pussy outside, but I can't blame them for that flow, it is what they can do at this point in their careers. Overall, pretty entertaining well executed match. The Stokely spot was mad funny."
TheWeekThatWasAEW wrote on 15.04.2026:
[9.0] "I rated it a 9.0, Cope walked into one of the loudest reactions of the night, with fans singing his entrance all the way through and then keeping it going acapella while Christian Cage also got a strong ovation, though not quite at that same fever pitch, as FTR alongside Stokely Hathaway were drowned in boos. The crowd stayed wild from the jump, breaking into the Canadian national anthem, roasting Dax Harwood with "bald" chants, and unleashing a loud, sing-songy "Oh f*** the Revival" chant, while Stokely caught heat every time he got involved. The match itself was chaos and hatred, from the opening hockey fight to FTR isolating Cope and targeting Christian's injured arm, all building toward explosive hot tags that had the arena shaking. My favorite moment came when Cope and Christian hit the Shatter Machine on Dax for a near fall, only for Cope bloodied & exhausted to realize it wasn't enough, a visual that perfectly captured the desperation of the match. In the end, after counters, belt shots, and near submissions had the crowd believing, FTR snatched victory with a Shatter Machine of their own on Cope to retain, crushing the hopes of a building that was ready to crown hometown heroes. Had good comedy spots with Stokely mixed in with the match. Obviously not the last time these two fight, and there's still a potential for a triangle TLC match in the future, so I'm not complaining haha."

[7.0] "Adam Copeland & Christian Cage I'm glad they having a match in their home country together again, but I wish it was a younger team for this match, because nostaigia is cool and all but it gets to a point where it gets redundant, and feels forced. FTR and Adam Copeland have been feuding since last year when they turned on him. I still believe they will be feuding even after losing this match. Christian Cage got inserted once Adam Copeland saved him during ALL IN: Texas. But the match was okay, it was a four-star for me. I thought the match went on too long, and them losing was shocking. I actually thought Adam Copeland & Christian Cage were going to get a final Tag Team Title Reign, but FTR is still going to hold onto the AEW World Tag Team Titles."

They have very good chemistry and the last strech of the match was pretty damn good. The reason it doesnt have a higher rating from me is because I think it kinda dragged a little too much through the middle. Anyways, a great improvement from their last match and Im hoping for a even better rematch."

[7.0] "While not the most exciting, it's definitely the better than Copeland and Cage's last match with FTR. They feel far more cohesive and the structure of the match is way more well rounded than a cheap nostalgia pop. This actually had some cool spots with lots of creative double moves, reversals and homages to The Young Bucks, The Dudley Boyz and oddly enough Chris Benoit. It also had a lot of fun close calls with that gnarly belt shot which appeared to bust open Adam Copeland the hard way and for a lighter side I really enjoyed Christian Cage breaking up the pin by throwing Stokely into the ring. It's not the typical AEW spotfest but both teams are well rounded enough that they managed to still pull of something pretty fun and enjoyable"

Huge kickouts and near-falls, a bloodied but resilient Cope, and the second hugely-appealing underdog heel victory of the evening. A great change of pace after Allin-Andrade and a really compelling story going-forward."

[8.0] "Fantastic match, and an even better result. It's right for the title to go to C&C, although I would have preferred it happening later, extending the feud further, maybe leading to a stipulation match. One of Cope's best matches in AEW, and we really needed that. FTR are always a guarantee, of course -- overall, a really great match, very classic and old-school, which I personally enjoyed a lot. Cope being busted open by the belt added even more intensity to a match that was already fought really well. I can't wait to see how the feud continues."

[7.0] "Some wrestlers and tag teams have ceilings where they'll never deliver a match of such quality to surpass it. FTR has a floor. It doesn't matter who their opponents are, they'll carry them to a solid, well-built match regardless of their age or ability or willingness to try and deliver soemthing special. That's who Cope and Christian are at this moment. Beloved, fun characters that are likely both phoning in performances as they prepare for a championship run and otherwise simply not having that extra level anymore for PPVs. FTR still worked their asses off for the limited C&C. Slow start, exciting crescendo toward the end and a very satisfying finish -- with a promise of more down the line."

[8.0] "[3.75*] Fantastic old-school tag team graps. My 3rd favorite match of the night, something I didn't particularly expect because their first match was a major disappointment. But this one, in Canada, was just fantastic. Incredible tag work, they just respected the rules more here, they grabbed the rope, they did team moves... but most importantly, they went out there and wrestled a proper professional wrestling match. The character work here was amazing too and that includes Stoke who was amazing on the facial expressions. Cope gave one of his best performances in a long time, even bleeding the hard-way which created an insane visual with the crimson mask. I REALLY didn't expect FTR to win here, but I'm more invested on their feud now than I was before the match."
NoelBees wrote on 14.04.2026:
[9.0] "I really enjoyed this match and I didn't really expect to either considering that C&C are ancient and this feud has been going on for an extended period now. However, FTR played perfect heels, and C&C played good babyfaces. I really didn't think that FTR would win this match but they managed to pull off the win and I feel like this probably sets them up with the Bucks and C&C in a triple threat sometime in the near future. Very hot crowd and Copeland getting busted open the hard way was an incredible touch, even if unintentional."

Last time out they focused a little too much on comedy and fuckery, this still had elements of that but at its heart was just a very strong wrestling match."
DyingOfTheLight wrote on 14.04.2026:
[8.0] "A vast improvement over their 2025 match, this one brought a reason for them to brawl it out. Cage & Cope showed they can absolutely hang in the stacked AEW Tag Team division, and Cope took a nasty belt shot leading to a crimson mask for the final stretch. FTR broke their opponents down, isolated Cope and scored the win to keep their reign moving."

[8.0] "Honestly just like the Jericho match earlier in the night this very much exceeded the expectations i had for it. Especially after what i thought was a celling for this feud after the match the had at All out back in September. I thought as always FTR put there best forward as always to pull out another really solid match. They had all there standard stuff great tag wrestling, good heel work and great selling. I thought the also had some great near falls and i loved the comedy with Stokely towards the end of the match. i thought CnC turned in a really great performance compared to what i had expected. They didn't miss a single sport, the crowd were behind them and they gave me the thought that they were always going to win the match. The match was just a fun stiff brawl the whole way through and towards the end there were some great near falls. Cope getting busted open by the belt was pretty fucking sick man before FTR got the win to level the feud. Overall such a fun brawl with added drama and some great comedey with stoke and it was definitely better than the match at all out intreated to see how this feud will continue. (****)"

I am glad that there was a relatively clean finish, too. Hopefully, this is the end of the feud, since Cope and Cage should not be champions anymore, even if they can still go."

This was super long and not very interesting outside of the moment where Cope gets shoot busted open. Him and Christian dont win because apparently this feud needs to go on longer than it already has. Fuck me. **"
Ozwern wrote on 13.04.2026:

[8.0] "Going into this I felt that it would be another tally mark in the list of title defenses of FTR, but I was happy with how this one turned out. A much slower pace than the opening tag, by no means a bad thing. Copeland showing that dad strength while busted open probably put a lot more faith in him from the folks backstage. Both Copeland and Christian getting a Canadian welcome is nice to see, even better to see them age well in wrestling. FTR play their role so well too, arrogant heels that back up all that shit talk. Fun match that exceeded expectations."

[8.0] "Pretty incredible old-fashioned tag team match between two great and iconic teams, and finally they were able to have that classical match we were all expecting, that was great, miles better than their previous bout, which was a disappointment, but this one was fantastic. Both teams wrestled with a more old-school approach and style of tag team wrestling, and it's a huge contrast with the opener for example, and I prefer this one. The beginning was slow and they were respecting the traditional approach, doing tags and taking turns, but of course sometimes things escalated and a nice brawl happened in an orderly manner. The whole match was just a super cool brawl with punches and violent moments, and everything they did at the outside was super cool. Cope's blade job was freaking awesome, in a way I couldn't even tell if he was legitimately busted open, but that definitely felt legit. The ending stretch was extremely thrilling and with several nice moments, and FTR managed to win the match, equalizing the score in their series - {****}"

[9.0] "Copeland's best match since signing with AEW. Lots of great double-teams, believable near-falls, and impeccably-timed spots that didn't look rehearsed (the way Young Bucks spots sometimes do). The tribute spots were a nice touch as well, with Cope & Cage referencing their old rivals the Dudley Boyz, and FTR referencing The Young Bucks. I loved Cope's last stand at the end, having to fight off both FTR members before eventually going down. I don't agree with the criticisms that Cope and Cage have slowed down - they hung pretty well with FTR and didn't miss a single spot. Not to mention, with their bigger physiques, it wouldn't make sense for them to be flying around the ring like Ricochet. My only minor nitpick for the match would be the fact that FTR won - Cope and Cage winning here would've gotten a monster pop, but now I'm not really sure where they go from here."

Christian somehow seemed positively youthful in comparison which is saying something. No idea what the direction of this FTR title run is anymore."

"Easily the MOTN for me. It felt like expectations were low after their previous encounter at All Out and this match did everything in its power to flip those expectations on their head. Cage and Copeland looked the best as a tag team unit as they have yet since they've reunited. The match did excellent at reinforcing the story and emotion going into it with the ruthlessness between all four men starting as soon as the bell rang. The belt shot was a highlight and added even more drama. I really enjoyed this one."

Cope looked old, Christian didn't have the same heat. If they're gonna disappear again, fine. But if they're gonna be a big part of the tag team scene, they need a rethink."

[7.0] "This was one of those matches where the immediate reaction is this is what all the build was leading to? Disappointing is probably the right word, because it's impossible to ignore just how much potential was there going in. On paper, this had everything you'd want. It started off with good energy, coming out aggressive and with a sense of urgency, but after that initial burst, it felt like the match settled into second gear and never really shifted beyond it. There were no real peaks, no standout sequences or major turning points that elevated things to the next level. It just kind of plateaued. Instead, a lot of the focus went into various shenanigans, which ended up dragging the match away from what it probably should have been. You could argue that the style reflected where Christian and Copeland are at this stage of their careers, especially considering the mileage between them, but even with that in mind, it didn't quite justify the lack of meaningful action. The bleeding from Copeland added some visual drama, but even that raised questions more than it enhanced the match. In a stricter sense, you could argue that it should have led to a disqualification or at least been handled in a way that felt more consistent within the rules being presented. In the end, it wasn't bad, but given the expectations and the potential, it fell well short of what it could have and probably should have been."

[8.0] "Really entertaining, Cope and Cage are fighting in smart matches, it doesn't look boring even if they aren't in strong and fast wrestling sequences. FTR both winning against the Bucks in Los Angeles and Cope/Cage in Vancouver turns them into the ultimate antagonists, great title reign."

"7. Kinda boring? It was very much both Cage and Christian being isolated and torn down, it had its moments but because of the way it was constructed this one just lacked excitement for me. That is, not considering the great crowd and the idea of a title change still on the table. The match was elevated by the notion of the title change, and in my books would have been elevated further if they did crowm a new champion. Without that, this to me stood as a sort of weak point that didn't justify itself given its ending. But I do like the story being told in ring, and nothing was bad here. Just not my speed and style preference, and not my preferred outcome. But not bad. 7."

[9.0] "This match was amazing, took a bit to get going, but once it hit that 2nd gear, it started to become a great tag match. It had great moves, sequences, moments. They started off hot with both teams semi brawling in the ring. Copeland was dominating both members of FTR, until Cash delivered a DDT from between the ropes, I get worried when I see Copeland taking a bump like that cause of his infamous neck. Dax was just chopping Copeland, Dax is an underrated chopper, his chops are actually stiff sounding. Christian tried to hit a low-blow, but he messed it up, Christian then hit a splash from the top rope to the floor onto both members of FTR. Dax attacked Christians bad arm to get momentum back. They just destroying the bad arm of Christian, they were doing anything they could to his arm. Christian started to get momentum back when he countered a suplex from the top rope and delivered a diving headbutt to Dax. Copeland tried a spear, but he was launched into the ropes from Dax, it was an awkward crash into the ropes from Coepland. Copeland suplex Dax, but Dax countered Cage with a knee to the face, then Copeland did the same thing to Wheeler. I was worried that after the title belt sequence that FTr were gonna retain, but Copeland kicked out. Cage and Copeland hit a freaking 3D only for a two. Copeland was bleeding badly after that belt to the face. FTR then hit the shatter machine to Copeland, but Cage used Stokley to break the pin-up, that moment was hilarious. Copeland hit a spear, but Cash saved the match, then Cash hit a pile-driver on Copeland. Cage tried to get back into it, but Wheeler just launched him into the time keepers area. Coepland and FTR were just battering each other and FTR delivered super-kicks, they didn't look good, but they're not used to doing them, Copeland managed to fight back and hit a double spear"
