Kofi Kingston vs. Penta

[6.0] "It's great to see Kofi Kingston deliver a strong singles match against Penta El Zero Miedo. He's a talented wrestler, and he proved it during his Road to WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan. He knows how to tell a story, but he can also put on a really good match, and that's exactly what he did against such an excellent and brilliant opponent. So overall, it's a title defense that's truly enjoyable to watch."

[7.0] "It's crazy to see Kofi in a singles match. It was really nostalgic for me as a big Kofi fan when I was younger. Penta is also one for my favourite current wrestlers, so I love seeing them in a title match. Not terribly exciting, but these two make it work."

[6.0] "yea fine just nothing special. match that commentary spends more time putting the arena over than the wrestlers. Penta has been very underwhelming."

[7.0] "I really love getting some Kofi Kingston singles match time on RAW. Does not happen enough as he is extremely talented and one of the best on the roster. Penta also is one of the best on the RAW roster and this was a very solid match. Catching Trouble in Paradise for a near fall on Penta but then Penta connects with the mexican destroyer to put the match away. ***.5"

[6.0] "I expected much worse match, but that was really good. Dynamic from the start was fine and the last minutes charged the crowd and Penta still the champ."

"The highlight of the night, Good dynamic with Kingston showing face turn traits. Penta needs to stay champ going forward the skys the limit with him."

[6.0] "The only match I'd say is actually worth a watch on this show. Didn't get to see a whole much of it on tv because yk 755 commercial breaks happen each raw. But what we did see it was a nice sprint match and a great title defense. Kofi not being in the mania ladder match also is very upsetting with it only being 5 people it just feels like there are other that should be in the match. Kofi is definitely someone who should be added. (***1/4)"

[7.0] "Fun match here, been enjoying seeing Penta defend the title often and having good matches, looking forward to seeing that ladder match in Vegas, hopefully Kofi gets in it too btw."

Kofi Kingston can still put up one hell of a match if given the chance .... which of course makes me remember his awful WWE title reign and how Vince buried him for no reason. So much wasted potential for both Kofi and Grayson Waller who's been reduced to being a mule for a literal jobber duo."

[7.0] "This was the only good match from this MSG Show, we got Penta defending his Intercontinental Title in an open challenge, which was accepted by Kofi Kingston via Social Media. Now, the kid in me was happy growing up, you know, Kofi Kingston always had the WWE Intercontinental Title or the WWE United States Title, so seeing him have this title match made me happy. The match was very fun. The highlight of this match was when Kofi Kingston caught Penta with a Mid-Air Trouble in Paradise. Now, if this were the 2010s, he would've won, but Penta kicked him out. Another pinpoint was Grayson Waller having more growing tension with Kofi Kingston. But Penta retained his WWE Intercontinental Title, then afterwards announced his WrestleMania as he'll defend his title in a Ladder Match as Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Je'Von Evans, Penta & Rusev all will be involved for this WWE Intercontinental Title Ladder Match at WrestleMania, which I'm very excited for."

[6.0] "Somewhere in the logic and reason alternate universe, Penta vs. Kofi is a match at WM because it's definitely worthy, at least on paper. No, we get a match that's ok but nothing worth watching. It's so disappointing."

[6.0] "Solid match for the IC title. Penta and Kofi had a fine back and forth, both guys got their moves in and went as long as it needed to. Kofi hitting a Trouble in Paradise as Penta came off the top rope was a good near fall. Penta fights back and lands a Destroyer for the win to retain. No surprise about the result, this served its purpose as a filler defense for Penta. 6/10"

[8.0] "After the start we had, this was an absolute godsend. Nothing special, but just a "good" match with (almost) no interference"

[5.0] "A title change is absolutely out of the question, so Kofi serves as a talented, albeit merely transitional, opponent for Penta, who is currently trying to establish himself as the champion. It's clean and unspectacular."

[6.0] "Best match of the whole show. Penta has been a highlight for these weak RAWs over the past few weeks. I'm wondering where this New Day storyline is going since Grayson and Kofi seem to be having tensions. The ending was good too. [***.35]"

[7.0] "This match was actually really good, Penta and Kofi had themselves a really good IC title match. Kofi is still such an underrated wrestler and deserves a push again, Penta is just simply amazing. Kofi also had one of his best singles matches in sometime. The mini story with Grayson and Kofi was interesting to see. Kofi delivering a Trouble In Paradise to Penta when he was diving off the top rope was the highlight."

[7.0] "A good perfomance by Kofi Kingston in a long time. This match was the best of the show. Coulded be a bit more longer."

[7.0] "Penta/Kofi was a good match. Both put in a solid performance and showed some good moves. Kofi's 'Trouble in Paradise' on Penta was brilliant. The finish was, as usual, very well executed."

[6.0] "Do you know what, this was fine. Nothing more or less, just a solid tv match and gave Penta a reason to set the ladder match up. 6/10"

[6.0] "This was a decent, fun little match. Just below 10 minutes but it was entertaining for what it was. The ladder match at Mania should be very fun"

[7.0] "This was prolly Kofi's best single's match in ages. Don't think it's a coincidence that his character was leaning baby face here with him insisting on 0 interference from Waller. Glad they're finally throwing in the towel on this New Day Heel turn that sadly didn't work out, despite it's great potential at first"

[7.0] "Kofi vs. Penta feels like a masterpiece compared to the previous two matches on the show. In reality, nothing special, but it was nice to see a well-structured match with good timing and a mini-story within it. It's a pity that I don't give a damn about this mini-story and it's unlikely to result in anything interesting, but it helped this match (***1/4)."
