[8.0] "A great fight, maybe in front of the wrong audience. The crowd was into it just fine, but considering these guys were feuding in Mexico at the same time I'm willing to bet that they were getting more intense heat over there. 3.75*."
[6.0] "A violent affair with a clear distinction between who's good and who's bad. Aguayo is the foreign heel who beats up Hamada before the introductions. He basically dominates this match and the crowd goes wild when Hamada gets his offense in. I don't think I've seen Hamada this early in his career and it was a treat to see. During the bout, Hamada is sent to the outside and then Aguayo starts using an international object to cut Hamada open. The match ends in a DQ as the ref calls it. Chaos ensues after the match as both factions go after one another. This was a fun solid contest with some buzz around it. Not on my top list by any means but worth a watch if it enters your queue."
[7.0] "You think UWF, you think shoot style, you think Fujiwara shoot headbutting some trainee's eyebrow and splitting them open. Instead we get Perro Aguayo coming to the ring with a sombrero. And what's worse that he left the two ladies standing there with flowers waiting to be handed out. So rude. Aguayo slammed Hamada hard into the floor and let out a nice hearty "ha ha ha". The slams and strikes looked rough, more so than you'd see in a lucha match which is what the match basically is, only in front of a Japanese audience. Perro Aguayo also had some great submissions with Hamada always struggling from beneath. Hamada bleeds from a nasty chair shot and scissors soon get used. The ref then calls off the match. Missionaries De La Muerte and native wrestlers enter the ring after the match and there is a big brawl. It's awesome. Unexpected match that I wasn't prepared to watch but I thought it was good. ***1/2"
