[4.0] "First time seeing the Buster & The Brain in action and I'm not terribly impressed. They looked pretty out of their league. Neither of them are physically impressive and they both make up for it by either no-selling or overselling everything. They remind me of a studio wrestling enhancement duo like the Mulkey Brothers. The sequences were slick enough and Oliver in particular is very good being a sympathetic punching bag, but this match should not have gone as long as it did and should not have been competitive. Despy and KUSHIDA were wasted here."
[6.0] "Seeing Price & Oliver in NJPW was great, Jordan in particular putting in a statement performance to overcome an onslaught of very well sold offence to the shoulder. Kushida & El Desperado also really stepped up to the plate here with great teamwork and diverse offence, making for a competitive feel throughout. Ultimately I was left disappointed to see the lesser established pairing take a win where the alternative would have been huge, but all-in-all this was strong."
[6.0] "Despe and Kushida try the rip the arms off these poor kids. Great limb work from them here, though the of it selling was weak and this quickly became more of a spot fest."
[7.0] "I liked this, as it was fast paced and hard fought from both teams, even if they did get lost for a moment. It showcased Price and Oliver well, and possibly setting them up for a Jr tag league run in October/November this year."
[7.0] "Kushida looked good getting heat on Jordan. Price looked great on the hot tag. Contrived hurricanrana setup with Price and Kushida balancing on ropes isn't my thing. Ultimately this was a fine match. 3.25*"
[6.0] "I like the team of young guys. I think they have a great future in wrestling. In particular, in AEW. They need to be given chances. They can surprise you. Desperado and Kushida have shown what they have been showing for many years. Great team wrestling, where the veterans won. Basically, no intrigue. ***1/4"
[6.0] "Impressive match. The New Jersey crowd got behind the two GCW alumni and they made the most of their opportunity, flying around like crazy against two junior heavyweight veterans. Would love to see one or both of these guys get in either BOSJ or SJ Tag League. Despy is really good and brought it against two high fliers, and KUSHIDA isn't a NJPW mainstay as much anymore, but still had a good showing here and still has tread on his tires."
[7.0] "Damn good Junior Heavyweight tag team action. Price & Oliver had a lot of fan support due to their work on the indies in the area, and they went hard against two greats of NJPW's Junior Heavyweight title picture in KUSHIDA & Desperado. Get Price & Oliver on a tour of Japan working with the other Junior Heavyweights and see them absolutely shine."
[6.0] "I knew Alec Price and Jordan Oliver were getting over in the indies recently, but seeing this announced had me a bit skeptical, I can't lie. However, KUSHIDA and El Desperado brought there veteran expertise for these over young wrestlers, enough that KUSHIDA and El Desperado were getting pushed to their limit. Fun mid-card tag action."
[7.0] "Good match, Alec Price and Jordan Oliver really went out of their way to show out on a New Japan stage for this one, and the veterans against them put in a good effort as well. Lots of fun sequences here with the match ending by Desperado pinning Price as Kushida just barely holds Oliver off."
