Devil Masami & Taranchera vs. Jaguar Yokota & Mimi Hagiwara

[10.0] "I've said it before, I'll say it again. The 80s/90s joshi trend of combining your normal name with a random, super cool English word is fantastic. Bull Nakano, Combat Toyoda, Bison Kimura, Dynamite Kansai, Aja Kong, Lioness Asuka, the list goes on. Here we've got two of the early pioneers of that awesome trend leading their teams in an intense war, Devil Masami and Jaguar Yokota. We're about a year away from the reign of terror of the incomparable Dump Matsumoto, so Devil is currently one of the leading heels and she's great in her own right, not as violent or chaotic but extremely nasty and more than willing to fight dirty, with the help of her masked partner Tarantula. Someone can check my AJW knowledge but I believe Jaguar has ascended to the position of babyface ace, having replaced Jackie Sato a couple years earlier, and with her ally Mimi she is ready to give a great fight. I had to double check which side was which at the start of this, because in contract to a lot of matches of this time it's actually the faces who go on an extremely intense blitz at the start, jumping the heels right away and pretty much battering them pillar to post. However everything soon fell into place as the heels relied on some dirty tricks and gave the fight back twice as nasty, chucking both women around the arena, through rows of chairs, bashing them with anything handy, a precursor to the kind of endless chaos Dump would soon bring. Things do get settling in the ring properly in time and the result is the expected high intensity contest, there's something about the way AJW scream like wild animals when they are attacking that raises the energy level in the room like crazy. Of course they are also attacking with 110% effort at all times so that helps, not to mention I still say the old AJW mats look like they are made of marble so anyone who gets slammed down basically goes splat. It's a great match with both sides playing their roles basically to perfectly, with blood spilled and at one point a table fully chucked into someone's head, just a wild, great fight. The heels squeak out a win here but you know the battles will only continue."
