[7.0] "Far from the best thing ever, but still a match I'd consider one of the Top 3 from this show. Both women looked good throughout this, with Konami getting a nice title defense. Her retaining was the right call, in my opinion, particularly considering that I do prefer her over Ami."
[6.0] "This match was OK. I liked the battle between Konami's kicks and Ami's chops, both in the beginning and in the middle of the match; the crowd reaction was nice, specially during the "H.A.T.E.'s shenanigans", and in the moments Sourei had the upperhand after that. (***1/4)."
[7.0] "Good match from an execution level, particularly the strikes from Konami and the Lariats and Blue Thunder Bomb from Ami, but the match didn't have a whole tonne in terms of a narrative. It was still a compelling affair, the match did a good job of getting me invested in it, and it did a solid job with the Babyface vs Heel dynamic, but lacked something to really kick it up to the next level, some smart strategy or intelligent wrestling or limb work, something that tells you "This is how each of these wrestlers are trying to win the match, this is the end goal they are building towards". Everything in this was good, but it feels like you could basically take this match apart, re-arrange in any order, and it would still be equally as good. The interference was solid here I felt, cost's Ami a likely winning position, she gets sprayed in the face, but fights valiantly through it. Enjoyed this match from a performance perspective, and a lot of it landed well, but needed more of a structure for it to reach higher heights for me."
[5.0] "I didn't like this match, I was very happy for Konami when she won title, but her reign doesn't make me happy for the most part. She needs a specific opponent to show a good performance, and it's definitely not Ami. Sourei still has a lot to learn, at least selling, because her complete lack of involvement in it kills Konami's attack in the bud. Ami's returns are not like a passionate storm, but rather resemble a mechanical reproduction of techniques. And as a result, the match also feels stretched out, because it is strangely structured, not focusing on anything, which makes the match seem like a fragmented execution of techniques, rather than something whole. Ami's story here does not deserve your attention and it is told rather mediocre."
[7.0] "Frustrating match, the structure felt too drawn out and the middle section was almost aimless; initially Ami Sorei seemed to leverage her size advantage, then there was the cutoff from Konami but then it got to almost taking turns of control rather any either of them wresting it from the other's hands. This period of turn-taking extended the length of the match and it wasn't until the Blue Thunder Bomb from the second that the match felt it was shifting up a gear. Unfortunately it didn't get much further beyond that gear; there were real nice strikes, the best punt kick Konami's done, great lariats from Ami Sorei, but this should've composed the middle part of the match to lead to another escalation. That Sorei spent as much time wrestling after being spray painted as she did feels like an apt expression of how much what they did to each other actually had an impact on the match itself."
[7.0] "Pretty great match but it didn't really shifted into that next level - the action overall was solid and both presented themselves from their better sides; Ami will definitely win that Wonder belt sooner or later, she did great here. I would never expect Konami to be such a great champion but i'm enjoying her reign so much, she's entertaining but at the same time VERY consistent in the ring - i hope her reign will last at least a few months more. ***, 5"
[6.0] "Pretty good match for the Wonder title. I've enjoyed Konami's reign more than expected, her defenses have been consistently high quality. This was a slight step down. Ami is a good wrestler who has shown in big spots she can step up. There wasn't much of a story here, it felt like they were just trading moves and they didn't get to that next level. Then the obligatory HATE interference happens, all you can do is roll your eyes. Ami gets sprayed in the eyes but keeps fighting through it, though eventually Konami wins with her submission. This could have been a lot better. 6.5/10"
[6.0] "This was good but not by much. I am not a Konami fan but I have liked her Wonder defenses so far. So it sucks that this ended up being her worst one yet. Still a good match but yeah, it just did not hit today. The Hate interference though, they are absolutely horrible and stardom referees are the absolute worst"
[8.0] "Tough one to rate, as the interference from the last match was annoying, so I groaned when it came in this match, even though it ultimately was very dramatic and added really heat to the match. Konami continues to excel as this precision striker and submission wizard who wants to be a dickhead bully, and Ami was in really good form here standing up for herself with incredible lariats."
[8.0] "Good, but not truly great. Just felt like it was on the cusp of being fantastic and it just never really hit that gear. Still really good stuff though"
[7.0] "Far from being bad but the match never reached the heights it should have reached, it remained quite flat, it's sad I expected better, Necessarily when your booking is bad it gives uninteresting and strange matches"
