[4.0] "Austin Theory's win over Rey Mysterio was competent but unremarkable. The match had its moments--Rey hitting inventive high spots and Theory showing solid ring awareness, but nothing stood out beyond standard offense and near-falls. The pacing felt uneven, and the finish, while clean, lacked impact and left the crowd with more "meh" than excitement. Rey did what he could to elevate the bout, but Theory remains the focus without the match delivering any lasting intrigue. **"
[5.0] "This match landed squarely in the middle of the road, which is ultimately its biggest issue. Austin Theory and Rey Mysterio are both capable of much more than what they showed here, but the bout never rose above being a competent TV singles match. Theory worked a safe, controlled heel style, slowing things down and leaning into basic heat, while Rey provided the expected bursts of speed and experience. On paper that contrast should work, but in practice it felt overly familiar and a bit restrained, as if both men were holding back rather than pushing each other. There were a few nice touches -- Rey's quick counters and one or two crisp sequences that briefly woke the crowd up -- but nothing stuck long enough to create real momentum. Theory didn't come across as particularly dangerous or dominant, and Rey, while smooth as ever, didn't feel like he was fighting from underneath with real urgency. The match structure was predictable, the pacing safe, and the crowd reaction reflected that: engaged enough to follow along, but never emotionally invested. By the end, it felt like a match designed to exist rather than to say something about either wrestler. It wasn't sloppy, it wasn't boring in an aggressive sense, but it also wasn't memorable or meaningful. For a RAW singles match, it was fine; for two names of this level, it felt underwhelming. A 5/10 fits perfectly here: not bad, not disappointing enough to complain about, just not nearly enough to leave an impression."
"Wedlug mnie niestety ale czas dla Reya juz niestety mija i powinien zakonczyc kariere co raz czesciej dostaje kontuzje wiec niestety czas mistrza 619 minal"
[2.0] "Austin Theory is one of the worst wrestlers in the WWE right now. How you managed to have a FOURTH bad match with Rey Mysterio is actually hilarious. His moveset is the most basic and BLAND thing ever. Please stop having Rey lose too. I'm tired of it."
[4.0] "Theory continues to prove he's one of the weaker members of the roster when it comes to wrestling a match. Rey Mysterio who's known for giving consistently good matches on TV can't get a good match out of you twice, there is a problem! Overall, not good. [**]"
[5.0] "Run-off-the-mill wrestling match with tons of basic moves thrown here and there. Surprised they actually gave Theory the win and not job to the literally 51 year old Rey Mysterio who unfortunately suffered a legitimate injury during this match...overall I'm not really moved by Austin Theory and his push hasn't even been "proper" and nobody still takes him seriously whether on the internet or in real life."
[5.0] "Just an average match for Raw. Not so great, not so bad. Theory showed a few intresting things and I hope that he will do this more and more. Glad that he won, becuase if he loses to Rey Mysterio againt, that would be a bury of his new character."
[5.0] "Theory's new move was really cool, and should definitely be incorporated as a finisher in his moveset, but outside of this it was an entirely pedestrian affair, fueled by a feud that feels like filler for all involved. Nothing particularly wrong with this one, just nothing to really push it to be any better. Rey's had a couple of injuries recently, and while obviously the pros will have a better read on what his body can handle, putting him on the line in a throwaway match against Austin Theory, where unfortunately he did suffer an injury, does feel like an entirely avoidable situation."
[2.0] "It's always funny to see the huge support Austin Theory receives on social media and people asking for more TV time, and yet, in all those opportunities to be in the ring, they're always the most boring minutes of the show. Yeah, he's athletic and has a good physique, maybe that's why they think he could be the next top guy and are always investing in him. It was another typical Austin Theory match, a sample of a wrestler who has "Top 70 moves" videos on YouTube and no good matches in WWE; he can't translate moves into storytelling or anything the crowd cares about in the slightest. Those were 11 of the longest minutes of my year. [0.75*]"
[6.0] "Decent match here, what's unfortunate is that Rey got hurt in the middle of it and it kind of affected the match, feel like it could've been better, but for now just hoping the Rey injury isn't too severe."
[5.0] "It's not a disaster, and I haven't always been a fan of Rey Mysterio, but when you see which legends are currently embarking on their final ride, an insignificant defeat against Theory is hardly heartwarming. Theory, on the other hand, can use the victory and seems to be in good hands with Heyman if they finally want to get started with him. But the match is rather mediocre."
[3.0] "[1.5*] Very boring and bland match. The Austin Theory experience is so funny because I saw tons of tweets saying they should, and I quote, "let him cook", because he does a lot of cool wrestling maneuverz, such as this Ataxia stuff. Well, it's nice that he has a proper Top 25 Moves video on Youtube, but he has no charisma and his matches fucking stink. This felt like a Vince McMahon 2012 TV match in the worst meaning possible. A waste of Rey's time and that's probably why he phoned it in."
"Un match agréable à suivre avec un Rey Mysterio toujours impressionnant et un Austin Theory qui travaille très bien en tant que Heel. Quelques beaux enchainements, un nouveau move de Theory et son Ataxia également un peu plus tard. Le blessure de Rey gâche un peu le final mais dans l'ensemble c'était un bon match à suivre."
[4.0] "Mid. Overwhelmingly mid and that's before Rey appeared to get legitimately injured. I really hope that it's not serious. Away from that, we need to talk about how they have dropped the ball with theory here. They had a chance to give him a new look, a new tweak to his character, a tweak to his ring style. Instead, he's exactly the same. Arguably he is less interesting and more anonymous."
[4.0] "A below average match and then the injury happened. It's very unfortunate as Rey has been doing good work but this Austin Theory experiment is not working out"
[4.0] "This match was very medicore not because of Rey Mysterio, but because Austin Theory was so bland in the ring; he's very uninspiring. He's not someone I would consider fun to watch in the ring. I would like something like Dragon Lee vs. Bronson Reed. But I thought Rey Mysterio was going to win, but that wasn't the case as Austin Theory, thanks to The Vision, hit a Curb Stomp for the win, and afterward a vicious beatdown by The Vision as they dismantled Dragon Lee, Penta, and Rey Mysterio as no one from the back saved them they sent a message as everyone in the Vision also have announced they're in the Royal Rumble."
[5.0] "Honestly just a match to get Austin Theory a win. Could have done without this match and the finish isn't the greatest either. Just an okay match and it looked like Rey got injured maybe for real which you don't want to see. Theory hits the stomp on Mysterio to get the win."
[6.0] "The false finish with the punch in mid air followed by Austin's new finisher was good but outside of that it is just a standard match. A little boring but nothing that is really terrible and makes you hate that you watched it. Overall it was just fine"
[4.0] "This was somewhat dull. Wasn't even scheduled as a match, but just thrown onto the card by Adam Pearce as an add-on apology for hitting Bron Breakker at some point. Pentagon and Dragon Lee kept getting into it with Bronson Reed and Logan Paul at ringside in a below average contest."
