Big fan of GOA teamed up with Ricochet. Classic Superkick, killing the business Young Bucks, just nice. expecting a spotfest Tag match with tons of sync spots, exactly what you get here. High flying choreo vs pure strength. too many cooks on commentary. be ready and aware of what this is and you can enjoy it for that."

If they take the belts off of FTR that is completely ok with me and I hope it happens. I just hope they continue to be used consistently and not just for 2 months then there gone forever like most the time with AEW. Babyface you bucks are so weird to see. (****)"

Sure, a lot of the spots were very creative and pretty fun, but the in-between was super awkward with everyone just standing there waiting for their time.On the positive side, Toa Liona was fucking beast, and since we are the topic of big men being great, I loved Davis & Doyle together. Just the thought of them together excited me already, but the execution exceed my expectations easily. They beat the hell out of everyone, super stiff and ugly, looking like two fierce animals."

Jake was definitely the star of the match for me and everything he did looked great, especially the stuff he did with Speedball, but everything else here just looked really overly cooperative and set up and that took away from this one a lot for me. **1/2"

Was shocked that Doyle and Davis won but I'm happy about it, I think Jake Something is a great get for AEW and Davis has been underused from his return."

[7.0] "I love the booking of these--evenly split between two flying Babyface teams and two big mean meaty heel teams. With this many bodies and a ref that is only really there to count a pin, you can probably guess that this is pure crowd popping chaos with very little psychology. And that's fine. Sometimes you just want candy. This is candy. And, you know, I think AEW deserves some credit for showing restraint--they could've easily booked the bucks to win and go on to fight FTR, but they chose to not only to push a new team, but also put them in a match type that really allowed them to look like monsters. Davis/Doyle v. GOA were absolutely the best parts of this match, and while I don't think they'll beat FTR, this match made me excited to see basically any match with them. There's a lot of Flippy messy chaos here but Doyle's reversal on Bailey's hurricarana into the finishing segment makes this a must see."

[8.0] "Davis and Doyle got the massive win as they have a future AEW World Tag Team Title against FTR, which is major, as Jake Somthing, who changed to Jake Doyle, now already has a title shot since joining Mark Davis as a tag team. JetSpeed, GOA, and The Young Bucks were solid in this match. The AEW Tag Division has been on a high right now, and I don't see it slowing down as I'm excited for Mark Davis and Jake Doyle against FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Maybe we can see a title change happen?"

[8.0] "Davis & Doyle drew noticeable heat during their entrance, helped in large part by Don Callis being with them, while Jet Speed received a solid crowd reaction and The Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun) came out to very little response. The biggest pop belonged to The Young Bucks, though Jet Speed wasn't far behind. The crowd was lively throughout, and my favorite moment came when Toa Liona hit a moonsault off the apron onto a pile of wrestlers, then immediately manhandled Nick Jackson by throwing him between the apron and guardrail before clotheslining Kevin Knight over the barricade into the crowd, which was excellent. The match ended when Jake Doyle powerbombed Mike Bailey over the top rope onto a group on the floor, followed by Mark Davis spiking Kevin Knight with a piledriver for the pinfall win, giving Davis & Doyle the victory, which I rated a 7.5. The match was very much "spots on spots, " and while the Bucks and Jet Speed showed flashes of strong chemistry that made me want to see them in a straight tag match, some of the early high-flying exchanges felt a bit off timing-wise, even though the live crowd loved it. Commentary added to the moment, particularly Ricochet's enthusiastic reaction to Toa Liona's moonsault. Davis & Doyle stood out by overpowering the smaller teams and getting significant shine, and while I'm not fully convinced they're set up for long-term success, they clearly made an impression here. I was surprised to see the heel team get the win, especially with the prospect of them facing heel FTR, but it creates an interesting dynamic. Other highlights included Jack Perry suddenly taking out Ricochet at ringside, multiple chaotic V-Trigger attempts being countered into double powerbombs, Speedball hitting a spinning double knee splash while both Bucks were held in a Samoan drop, Kevin Knight following with a UFO splash for a near fall, and a big four-way aerial sequence involving the Bucks, Jet Speed, Davis & Doyle, and the Gates of Agony. Overall, it was a very fun, high-energy match."

Young Bucks did MANY mistakes at areas they usually don't ever fail, that matches pretty PWG style are made for them. The JetSpeed was solid, nothing that caught my attention that much, and Mark Davis looked a bit off. Clearly it wasn't his night, it happens."

[7.0] "A great show of the depth in the AEW tag division; GOA and D&D are both hugely underrated duos capable of holding a spot at the top of the tag scene, and we got to see that plenty here. JetSpeed and the Bucks put in typically strong showings, demonstrating great synergy and athleticism throughout. Some creative spots made this especially entertaining, however a few multi-man sequences were admittedly rough around the edges (somewhat inevitable given the scale of the contest). The finish was superb, Davis & Doyle look red hot and I'm really glad to see them go over without doing any other competitor harm."

Was kind've surprised by the winner but when you realize this is the first match for Jake "Doyle" you realize this was probably a big selling point in signing him. Whole match was great. Going to be interesting seeing FTR vs DCF"

[6.0] "A kind of sloppy and choreographed but overall enjoyable bout. Davis and Doyle were a highlight, they are two big guys who can really work especially in tag matches, The Bucks and JetSpeed disappointed slightly, something just was not clicking between them. The final 5 or so minutes definitely picked up, with Davis and Doyle picking up the win being the right call by the looks of it. A fun but flawed bout."
Agaren wrote on 16.01.2026:
[5.0] "Not one of the smoothest multi-man tag they have done in recent memory, lots of noticeable stutter stepping and visibly getting into position with no urgency. I think it might have been because it was a 3 team match that it didn't flow as well as they otherwise do. It wasn't bad, but I didn't really get into it, and it felt long. First 7 minutes was terrible, last 7 minutes was good."

They did a lot of crazy things, and the other two giant teams supported them very well and played their roles exactly as they were supposed to. The only thing to criticize is the result, since in my opinion it would have been better if the Young Bucks or Jetspeed had won."

The winners might seem predictable, but I would have liked to see a bit more of them before they went on to challenge the champions. In-ring quality: 2/4. Stakes: 1/2. Justification: 0.75/1. Placement on the card: 1/1. Suspense: 0.5/1. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 6.25/10. Match watched on Triller TV."

I'd now like to see a Young Buck vs. Jet Speed match. The Jack Perry vs. Ricochet rivalry continues; after the match, we had a face-off with FTR."

Loki Hipster God wrote on 15.01.2026:
[6.0] "While I appreciate the athleticism and impeccable timing that goes into these types of matches, a lot of the Young Bucks multi-man spotfest matches feel so interchangeable and forgettable to me. There's no real story or logic I can discern. You have the Young Bucks dominating men three times their size just so they can get their shit in. You have two powerhouses like Davis and Doyle getting beaten up the entire match, not doing anything impressive at all, and then randomly getting the win. This SHOULD have been the place to spotlight Doyle in his debut and show what he can do, but no, instead we had to watch the Young Bucks do the same spots we've already seen them do a million times. This match really did nothing for Davis & Doyle despite them getting the win."
MaveDeltzer wrote on 15.01.2026:
[6.0] "A match that was simultaneously too choreographed and also lacking in structure. It felt like it could go on forever, with no accumulated damage and every pin being one diving axe handle away from being broken up. That meant no sense of progression and so no feeling of drama. I thought it got a little better towards the end but the first half was too cute."

Jake and Mark also look PERFECT for a tag team. Almost look like long-lost brothers in the ring. Some extremely cool spots and a fast pace."

[7.0] "Good match but very spot heavy. Some cool stuff but a good amount of the choreographed spots are a little over the top for me. Doyle and Davis get the win and will face FTR which I like as this is a matchup we have yet to see. A match full of complete chaos which is not necessarily a bad thing."
Tom LeBlanc wrote on 15.01.2026:
[7.0] "Chaotic by design, a lot of talent and the Bucks clearly steering traffic early. Bailey was a joy as usual. I liked Davis and Jake are standing out. Some spots were clearly waiting on cooperation and that hurt the illusion. Entertaining throughout and the finish genuinely surprised me, which counts for a lot."

I was hoping this would primarily serve as a vehicle to highlight Doyle and Davis as a dominant force, but they weren't as featured as I'd hoped but I'm glad they won. Some good, occasionally messy action. The best dynamics were when the Young Bucks and Jet Speed were interacting during the finishing stretch. Unfortunately, this was the third straight match where some type of outside interference happened which wasn't ideal, but still a good match. ***1/2"

Seems like a standard aew Dynamite Young Bucks multi-man tag match to me. It was not exactly their sharpest execution, but everything was structured appropriately."

Mark and Jake winning actually caught me off guard. The spots and sequences were pretty good. Jake looked good in his debut and him and Davis somehow make a pretty good tag team. I was worried the young bucks were gonna win"
