[10.0] "A truly great match, without a doubt. Honestly, from start to finish, it's one of the best matches I've seen so far this year. They went all out, delivering amazing sequences and spots, and a very well-told story. I'll definitely want to see more from these two geniuses."
[8.0] "My favorite match from Stardom in january, Mei and Hazuki had an awesome match. Fast paced and full of action and counters, it's a must watch to all wrestling fans. (****1/4)."
[9.0] "Great stuff here. Seira gets an amazing showing, even in defeat. I was genuinely shocked both when she kicked out of the Diving Senton and when she kicked out of the Brainbuster right after that. I will say that I wish Hazuki hit something a bit more devastating than the Powerslam she did after those two big kick-outs, but I still really enjoyed this."
[7.0] "****1/2 Great match, fantastic chemistry, they worked together really well and the match was very fluid, great intensity, very good sequences, very good pace. I felt they were building the match beautifully, with both having their moments but not getting the pin. But towards the end it felt somewhat simplistic and the build-up ended up amounting to little. Interesting ending, but far below what the match had been. They were putting on a match worthy of a MOTY Contender, but all those final minutes with Hazuki dominating to the point that the crowd lost interest, the pace slowed down, and the intensity dropped. Hazuki wins in an anticlimactic and bland finish"
[9.0] "That match had such a insane fast pace that you can even end up getting lost in the middle. And it wasn't, at least for my own standards, some fast pace shit made on nothing. Hazuki had a obvious target while focused on some bumps to weakness Mei Seira while her strategy was more focused on target moves, able to weakness some areas of their body. The beggining was much better than the ending, but it was still an excellent match from two of the highest potential wrestlers from Stardom. KENTA and Marufuji are surely looking at that proud in heaven that their style of wrestling got so well replicated like it was here."
[9.0] "If lucha is a dance then this was one of those knife fights from West Side Story. Both women are wrestlers I don't see a lot of but when I do it's always impressive especially Hazuki. After her great match with Mercedes Mone last year and now this it's clear that her lucha influence makes her a stand out performer in joshi. A lot of her greatness doesn't even come from her being a clean performer but for just how physical she is. Notably in this match she is absolutely relentless and her scissors and springboard offence all feel like genuine offensive maneuvers and not just transitions. Even when the moves don't go her way she resorts back to a more stiff strike based offence which makes for such a cool character trait. Mei Seira also impressed me because she kept up one hundred percent. Seira is also a young star that I've liked in the past but I've never seen her wrestle with this much flare and aggression. These two just felt like the perfect duo for a fast paced, brutal fusion of lucha and strong style and I'd be shocked if this isn't a early contender for one of the best matches of the year"
[8.0] "Pretty high-speed and intense match, they didn't rest a single second. Big moves all the way, it was thrilling. Tremendous spectacle, a certified banger and currently high on the list of MOTYC. Very good job!"
[6.0] "This was mostly solid. Very fast paced all throughout with some both women showing off some impressive agility and bumping like crazy. Mei was particularly impressive here as she made all of Hazuki's moves look brutal as all hell and her offence looked really crisp too. This match does have a few problems however, as they do overdo the nearfalls towards the very end and there are a few spots here which took a bit too long to set up. Overall, though i still mostly enjoyed this one even if i do have some issues with it. ***1/4"
[9.0] "Match of the night and MOTY contender for sure. These two killed it once again, almost as good as the time limit draw from 2 years ago. Happy to see Hazuki defend her title and get big wins again, for a while she was just a steady challenger to put over a champion. Mei Seira is also a great asset that needs to be better used in Stardom. Hell of a match and easily the best Stardom match of 2026 so far, best womens match of 2026 honestly"
[9.0] "What an awesome match between these two. A full on hard-hitting sprint from the moment the bell rang. I'm still in disbelief as to how Mei got from the floor to the apron to foil Hazuki's dive on that spot, can she teleport? Also, the top rope sunset flip bomb was nasty. Great performance from both, Mei really shined in this one. The finish was also really good, just wish the actual finishing move looked a bit better, but maybe that was the point? (9.5)"
[9.0] "The show was flowing nicely and then, out of nowhere, they gave us this masterpiece. Absolutely incredible. I truly believe Mei Seira is a future World Champion"
[10.0] "So I have liked both of these women in the past, but in the larger scope of Stardom I don't think they have been the biggest standouts. Based on this match that might be about to change though, as I felt both of these women took a big leap forward and put forth a career best performance on both sides of the match. These women have both been wrestling since they were teenagers and it looks like things may be coming together for them in a big way. Simply put, this was a match where they laid into each other in a brutal, eye-catching way, both felt like they were going for broke. There was this one attack Hazuki hit that looked like a three way combo between a brainbuster, a DDT, and a facebuster, it looked absolutely devastating. And Mei Seira had this one dive, from the top to the floor, that looked like she was fired out of a catapult, just great acceleration and impact. The kicks, the strikes, the struggle, the well structured kickouts, this delivered in pretty much every aspect. I think Hazuki looked a bit better of the two (despite overdoing it slightly with the shocked faces after kickouts, this ain't NXT), but both wrestlers deeply impressed. Hazuki did indeed pick up the win but not until she had battered Seira with a blasting string of offense. New second favorite match of the month to date."
[10.0] "Fantastic match to say the least - i knew the pairing of these two would deliver and they did, it was so good. After watching this match i just hope both will win Wonder or challenge for a World title cause they are ABSOLUTELY the very best of STARDOM. Mei Seira moves in 2x speed, her offense is so unique and so smooth. Same applies to Hazuki tbh, wonderful in the ring and very underrated. The chemistry was outstanding, i really recommend this match! ****, 75"
[10.0] "Even before this match, I would have listed Hazuki as the most underrated female wrestler in the world, followed closely by Mei Seira. This match proved just how talented these two are! This match was fast paced, high-octane with a mix of technical prowess and top-rope risk / outside dives. As soon as Mei jumped to the top turnbuckle and dived to the outside, the whole show suddenly ramped up a notch. And that sunset flip powerbomb by Hazuki looked absolutely brutal, no stopping to get her legs underneath, just full-tilt flip and slam. Hazuki made Mei look strong in defeat at the end, needing three sentons and a couple of power moves to finish her off. Match of the Year to this point so far."
[9.0] "Amazing match kicking off what should be another great year for STARDOM, Hazuki is sensational and Mei Seira also delivered a great performance [****1/2]."
[10.0] "MOTY so far. What a fucking match. My face was so contorted into shock and excitement by the end of the match that my boyfriend thought I was having a stroke. You must watch this."
[9.0] "My lord this was a great match. Both really worked their asses off to give the crowd a great match, it was fast pacing and did take time to get going, but when it did, it never slowed down. Both were just giving each other hard strikes and had great sequences and counters. Hazuki was just hitting Mei with so many unique moves from the ropes. Never seen or heard a single match from both of these two and all I can say is I'm impressed with both and hope to see another match from them very soon. Mei just kept kicking out of everything Hazuki was doing to her."
[9.0] "This was a great match fast paced and all action with Hazuki putting in an awesome performance and Seira pretty damn great as well. Perhaps had one or two too many near falls at the end but still an awesome match."
[7.0] "I'll never be a massive fan of a seconds-led Stardom clap-along - it just isn't a substitute for actual heat. This was a match of two halves, the first being a full-tilt high speed blur that could have plausibly ended in under 10 and was starting to get a little silly with Seira ignoring the sunset power bomb and German in quick succession. From there Hazuki took over and the challenger survived a ridiculous number of potential finishers before briefly rallying for a couple of token near falls of her own ***1/2"
[7.0] "Good match, thought it missed the peak though. Really impressive offensive from Hazuki, her control period up until the dive was great. Never seen the Checkmate from Mei before but it was sick."
[10.0] "This is simply an absolutely fantastic match with Hazuki and Mei actually managing to create a match better than their scorcher in February 2024. Selling, pacing and particularly bumps are utterly exemplary. The booking is smart too in relation to Mei's and Hazuki's relationship because, in their 3 singles bouts, they are now at one draw, one victory for Mei and one victory for Hazuki. Finally, the crowd was great here too as it was split in that really cool way only Japanese crowds are as they offered support to both senshus."
[8.0] "An insane pace throughout this one. Siera is one of the most entertaining performers in the world, so quick and innovative. She was given a large platform here, and she balled out. Hazuki is truly outstanding. Any opponent, any style, anywhere, and she delivers. I really hope she gets the opportunity to climb the card in 2026. 4.25 stars."
[9.0] "The pace at which Mei Seira carries always makes her an absolute joy to watch, and the pairing with Hazuki never fails to impress. Her style brings an extra degree of intensity; a great degree of power without compromising on the tempo. The suplex-lift into the double-knees from Hazuki, before transitioning seamlessly into some brutal submission offence was one of a few highlights for me; the landing on the avalanche sunset-flip powerbomb was brutal, Mei sold everything exceptionally throughout (landings, submissions, strikes, everything). The codebreaker off the second-rope was also fantastic, and not too long after Mei Seira fires back with genuinely one of the best dropkicks I've ever seen. A seriously fantastic watch."
[8.0] "I liked this match a lot , Thought it was better than alot of high speed matches and cut out a lot of the nonsense traditionally associated with them and replaced it with hard hitting strikes my only issue is that it went on a bit too long with a typical stardom finish with a lot of near falls."
[10.0] "This was incredible and even better than I expected. Hazuki is fantastic and Mei shows she's a perfect opponent for her, showing her toughness and never quit attitude. 2026 has had some great wrestling so far and this is another to add to the list."
[10.0] "An absolutely incredible match and a masterclass in venomous offence and wild, nearly out of control bumping. At times Hazuki was struggling to keep up but that actually played into the story and the styles clash. The nearfalls were truly amazing. Hazuki's selling too was phenomenal part I Kaur on that suplex bump on the outside."
[10.0] "This is the first match to get me excited about wrestling again in 2026. This was an inventive piece of work that felt fresh and exciting. Both of these women made such great use of their time in the ring. Mei Seira is only 23 years old and just an absolute monster in that ring. I hope this leads to hazuki being in the title picture very soon because she was phenomenal here"
[9.0] "Great match. This was much better than their previous encounter for the High Speed title two months prior which limited what they could do. Hazuki and Mei work really well together. Hazuki brings the heat with her relentless offense which Mei bumps all over the place for and has to overcome as the underdog. The top rope powerbomb Hazuki hit was nasty, Mei actually bounced off the mat; by far the best spot of the match. I do think they got overindulgent down the stretch with the trading flash pins and far too many kickouts on big moves that should have ended the match when the crowd was at its hottest. Those are just unfortunate tropes that Japanese wrestling can't get away from. Even with that, this match ruled as Hazuki gets the win. 9/10"
[10.0] "Hazuki is generally one of the most intense and distinctly aggressive professional wrestlers in the world. The execution and precision she strikes or executes moves is dynamic yet brutal. These traits that I described were on 11 in this match. One of the best wrestlers in the world delivered one of my favorite performances I've seen from her. The snap and intensity she had from the powerbomb from the top, the kicks, and sentons. Insane. Mei Seira is no slouch either, who played the perfect underdog, babyface roll. The ease of athleticism Seira has, yet her ability to sell and garner sympathy created a sound dynamic. This was wrestled as a high speed match but it went nearly 20 minutes showing how deep these 2 have in their cardio bag. This was incredible. A match of the year contender. *****"
[9.0] "Mei and Hazuki once again show their great chemistry. Except this time, they're not tied down to high speed, making it even better. Both took some nasty bumps. The offense looked super painful the entire time. Could've used a little more selling, but it's still absolutely fantastic. Unbelievable near falls late."
