Stripped of the flash, this could have comfortably fit on a late-'80s Clash of the Champions. Kroos leaned hard into his power game with multiple powerbombs, powerslams, a surprisingly clean Spanish Fly from the top, and a lariat that actually looked violent. Huxley did his part by bumping generously while still coming across as credible and dangerous when he fired back, particularly during the finishing stretch. Both men were good here. Kroos, who can be hit-or-miss for me, was firmly on the right side of that line in this match, and Saxon complemented him well. The main drawback is that everything felt a little too polished. While the execution was strong across the board, the match lacked raw emotion or personality, giving it a slightly choreographed feel rather than a true fight atmosphere. Still, this was solid, enjoyable big-man wrestling done well. ***

Ein Big Man, der unter anderem einen Spanish Fly vom Top Rope zeigt, wahnsinn. Und Saxon Huxley hätte ich so ein Match gar nicht zugetraut, wirkte er doch häufig als unbeholfener Big Man. Gutes Wrestlering aber auch eine gute Dramaturgie! 9 Punkte für mich!

Kroos hit multiple powerbombs and powerslams and even the Spanish fly from the top and his lariat was heavy. Huxley bumped all over the place and looked strong in his spots when he was on offense and the two bombs for the finish.

A critique, whilst everything was good here this did come across a little 'too perfect', choreographed. Everything was executed well here but this was lacking some emotion and/or personality. ***.
6401.01.2026Chefi5.0This is my first time watching Will Kroos, and it's safe to say that I'm impressed. I've seen Saxon Huxley before, but I never really enjoyed his stuff, however this was decent. They had the psychology of the meat vs meat style of match, but it felt slow and too spotsy at times, and it didn't look super exciting for a majority of it. The spanish fly was insane though.

I don't see much of a point in showcasing another promotion on what should be one of the biggest shows of the year on a fairly weak looking card. Not much stood out about the match itself besides the Spanish fly off the top rope.

Felt like they just needed more time to make it feel like more of a match over making sure to hit impressive spots(which they really were).
6701.01.2026DENDY5.0A fine showcase for PROGRESS I suppose, but this felt quite out of place and not quite deserving of time on the big NOAH New Years show. Kroos looked decent, but still seems to be quite spot heavy without much more to his matches and this was no different. Huxley got the win surprisingly following an entirely serviceable but kind of dull match. Not one to seek out but not a terrible watch.

Beide Männer waren mir bisher unbekannt, konnten aber in dem Progress Titel Match überzeugen. Ein Match was eher auf der härten Seite war, die ein oder andere spektakuläre Aktion hat jedoch für Abwechslung gesorgt (*** 1/4).
