[9.0] "The tag team match up with JetSpeed prior to this first ever singles bout between Kevin and Soberano, the tag team bout a bit ago was a great contest and is still deserving of a career highlight, same thing goes for this first one on one match up here, sure some people see it as a bit underwhelming or what not, but man, when wrestlers are wrestling for the first time in a singles match, sometimes it hits or sometimes it's a bit off some nights, was honestly a solid match up overall man."
[6.0] "Way too boring.I get that they tried to do some character works, which was overall great, but the action itself was not a big deal, super slowly paced and a big fuckup near the end. Not bad, obviously, but it had to be more exciting, specially for the time given. It got the crowd bored and tired for the rest of the night."
[7.0] "This was fun, Kevin seemed to be a lot more comfortable in the heel role than he was originally on CMLL, with Soberano also doing some good stuff. Decent character work here in a match where the wrestling took somewhat of a back seat, but a fun watch nevertheless."
[6.0] "At its best early on when Knight is playing heel like a hell of a worker, and getting to show his bags of personality. Soberano, to me, had done the best work of his life after turning heel, so seeing him so beloved after his comeback, nice as it is, hardly seems to be getting the best out of him. Anyway, this isn't much after they actually start doing stuff, and a lot of it, the finish pretty notably, looks quite bad. It seemed to me to go on way too long as well, but the early stages are worth watching when it is something more classical of style."
[8.0] "An excellent setup for a match that got too much time. Knight working in his heelish bag in Arena Mexico against one of CMLL's cockiest stars and so they spend essentially the entire match trying to show off and one-up each other. From pushups to flexing to flexing in submission holds to flashy highspots, they try everything to look cool while still focusing on the match itself. Knight looks incredible here, slotted into his role excellently with great little flourishes like failing the one-armed pushup only to flex anyway and those situp-assisted elbows near the final stretch while hitting some sick flying lariats using the elevated ramp (another reason I love that setup). Soberano was a defacto face here as a representative of CMLL & Mexico, but he was still just as cocky as The Jet. I think if you cut 5 minutes from around the middle this would be excellent but as it stands I do think it was a great clash. ***1/2+"
[5.0] "Soberano and Knight sit there and trade flexing spots and whatnot trying to impress the ladies and generally having an attractive cocky asshole-off, very fun to watch but perhaps not the best match"
[8.0] "I think that both the matches involving jetspeed solidified them as my favorite duo in pro wrestling. Absolute high octane action in every single move to the point that you are left at a loss. Kevin Knight kind of played the heel in this match which I had heard jetspeed doing Mexico before in some tag match that I can't recall. But he played the boasting, not exactly heel but doing just enough of that stuff to generate some heat in the crowd quite well. Soberano also did a fantastic job at making Kevin Knights great offense look already better then it is. So all around great match **** - Stars"
[5.0] "This was a bit loose and sloppy and also went much longer than it needed to, so I ended up being bored at times. That being said, it probably was on Soberano for the most part."
[3.0] "The opening theatrics went on far too long for my liking; heel Knight is entertaining, but you can have too much of a good thing. It also went further than it needed to; Knight can be an arrogant American heel without trying to unmask his opponent for a cheap pop (which is completely out-of-character). Soberano Jr. had a handful of messy moments in this contest, whilst Kevin was given very few opportunities to flex his strengths. Just as this felt like it was hitting the gear I'd expected, the finish came, and with a result I'm not too keen on either."
[8.0] "A very good and entertaining match, but a match that left me wanting more. Both men moved rather slow compared to their original speed, and it made for a few clunky moments throughout the whole thing. Kevin Knight heeled it up to perfection, by the way. Good stuff as always. He is definitely the future. Overall, a good match."
