| 1 | 15.12.2025 | violet011 | 6.0 | Tana's finally IWGP champ and spends the next 5 or so years fighting the older generation to cement his spot so this is a fun one for him in his first G1 as champ. Seen most if not all of their later matches by this point where Tanahashi is a much better wrestler but this one is still real good actually. Tana's elevated himself to the next level and looks good hanging in there for 20+ minutes by now, even with someone who doesn't have quite that much depth or been known for pacing longer matches in Kojima. Not a whole lot in the way of narrative but just well paced and quite a lot of fun, Tana's slingblades get scouted, his rollups don't work and his shining wizard is blocked and gets hit with one from Kojima now that he's an All Japan boy. The lariat shortly follows to end it, good stuff. |
