[2.0] "This really exemplified one of my pet peeves when it comes to death match wrestling; from the opening, there was a complete lack of resistance or avoidance of the violence. The spots felt invited, rather than it feeling like a legitimate fight, and not in a sense of proving oneself. Watching them set up blocks with chants of "Bob the Builder" and Slade struggle to get a shopping trolley in the ring (because that's absolutely essential? ) had me chuckling; probably not the desired reaction to an NGI match. The pre-cover delay on the finish make me think this wasn't the planned finish as well; at least, if it was, it was sold badly. Fair play to both competitors, what they do is incredible, it's just not good pro-wrestling in my eyes. That said, I do keep coming back to GCW despite regular disappointment; they do keep me intrigued with this chaos, I can admit that!"
[7.0] "Whilst not as good as their first match at the Showboat, this was still a great opener to NGI X. These two both bled a ton and took some rough bumps, including onto cinder blocks and a shopping trolley. Good shit. Drawn at 1-1 now, I'm certainly hoping for a third match between these two in the near future. ***1/2."
