Matt Hardy vs. Michael Elgin

[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. Michael Elgin had just won the ROH Championship from Adam Cole and his first defense of the title would against another member of The Kingdom, that being Matt Hardy. For the most part this was actually a clean match with no interference, with Matt using his experience and heel tactics to try to counteract Elgin's strength. Things went the overbooked route when Adam Cole and Mike Bennett came out to interfere, even attacking referee Todd Sinclair to stop him from throwing everybody out from ringside. Both War Machine and the Briscoes got involved to help, but it was noticeable seeing Elgin have a problem with Jay trying to hit the Jay Driller on Matt when Elgin wanted to finish him off himself. Amidst the brawl happening outside the ring, Matt attempted another Twist of Fate on Elgin, but it was countered into a crossface that Matt would tap out for. This would end up being Matt Hardy's last match in his 2nd ROH run, having made his TNA return 12 days after this show to reunite the Hardys with his brother Jeff. ***1/2"
