Damian Priest vs. Rusev

[4.0] "Both wrestlers are as boring as you could imagine so the crowd obviously won't care for this. It had a very flat ending as I didn't want neither to advance."

[7.0] "A great match for a weekly show, structured to be as evenly matched as possible; the downsides are the abrupt finish and the limited time allotted to the two (the match doesn't even last nine minutes)."

[5.0] "Not much going on here but with how often commentary brought up the Priest eye injury u would expect Rusev to go over and that's exactly what happened. 2.5 stars at best."

[4.0] "Dead crowd, and for understandable reasons. This match was anti-hype, at once dragged and was over too quickly. I expect better from both men, especially for their first ever match."

[4.0] "[2.0*] Not a good match at all. I tuned in for Cena and when I saw this was happening, I thought maybe this could be a beast-ass hoss fight. It ended up being a bland and uninteresting under 10-min bout. It wasn't awful or anything like that, it was just a giant pile of nothing."

[5.0] "Meh. Just meh. Pretty uninspiring match between a guy in Limbo and a Rusev. The main issue with the match thought was the crowd, holy they did not care so it made this match just not good. It's an in-ring 6 with a crowd of a 0. Not gonna knock em too hard for that tho."

[4.0] "OMG how boring and monotonous that match was. It's really good fight between Rusev and Damian, but I saw just like they do same things for all of the time. Even parts, when it can be something cool, don't feels like this. I'm not satisfied by this match."

I think this was good but the crowd killed it, even if half of the match was rusev kicking priest i still thought a lot of it was hard hittig but the crowd gave them nothing, probably spent asf after cena. seeing priest loses kills me a little inside considering how well they built him up in 24' but at least they worked the eye. **1/2"

[4.0] "A nothing match. I definitely expected more from this. Priest and Rusev should have been able to go out there and have a hard hitting fight. Instead we got Priest selling his eye the whole time while Rusev targeted it. Boring stuff. Rusev wins. This was not a good start to the Last Time is Now tournament. 4/10"

[4.0] "It was boring bland and no impact on the show or either wrestler. Sure they put over the story with Aleister and the eye with priest but man it's so bland and boring."

[6.0] "Average, struggle of a match, but a bit surprised by that ending... didn't expect Rusev to go through. Kind of a weak finish with that kick.... they're still selling that eye injury. Probably leading to a PLE match between Priest and Black?"

[4.0] "Priest will probably get released soon if this terrible booking keeps going on (Triple H, please don't get mad at my opinion I humbly ask forgiveness from the great boss). The match was built around the eye injury angle, which didn't really hold up. Less than 10 minutes long, and we're clearly pushing Rusev to the moon let's see where that goes. Anyway, there was very little doubt about the outcome; it was obvious the match was going to Rusev."

[5.0] "Made a big deal of an eye injury to protect Priest. Match was a fine brawling type match. Nothing too notable good or bad in this match just there on tv"

[4.0] "Priest vs Rusev; short, basic, boring. Priest has been put firmly into jobber position and is getting aggressively shifted down the card. Nothing else makes sense because this match was pointless. Reuse went through the motions and then hit a matcka kick. This was a squash. 4.5/10"

"3/10 genuinely can't believe Priest was the one chosen by triple H to be the "guy" from judgment day when it was clear as day that the only reason he had any relevancy was because of the faction and Rusev was there I guess"

[4.0] "I gotta be honest this was painfully bad. Both are capable of far better performances, but it was just slow, with a very short match time"

[5.0] "Both of these guys are decent wrestlers but the chemistry just wasn't there as Damian had to play underdog which doesn't suit him, even with the eye excuse"

[7.0] "I rarely watch weekly TV wrestling nowadays, however I enjoyed it. Nothing special as both guys's styles doesn't click with each other really good, but Rusev's intensity undoubtedly added some value to this bout. Looking at the history of Cena vs. Rusev rivarly, we've got the proper winner. Obviously he will not win the whole thing, but still."

[5.0] "A let-down of a match. I really was excited for this because these two never fought each other, and I thought we were going to get something special, but we didn't. Rusev, I expected to win because I thought Aleister Black was going to intervene and cost Damian Priest the match, but it didn't happen. It just ended in a way I didn't like, but Rusev advances in The Last Time Is Now Tournament as he has unfinished business with John Cena and is looking to get his revenge."

[5.0] "My hopes were very low for this one. Rusev vs. Priest does seem good on paper but knowing both of their styles this was a sink or swim. They sank unfortunately. This needed a somewhat faster pace and it failed to get to that point. The finish was very out of nowhere and unexpected. [**1/2]"
