[4.0] "I was expecting something way different than their match at Revenge On The Prophecy, but it isn't at all and more so a worse version of it which is unfortunate because this is a pretty significant show. It's still pretty stiff and has some moments, but those moments can be also found in their previous match. And unlike their previous match, I don't think this is really as well put together. I did like the ending though."
[8.0] "I suppose I may be alone on this, but I preferred their previous match together at Revenge On The Prophecy. That aside, this was another great, hard hitting contest between Joe and Danielson. It was similar to their last match, but I thought that one felt more intense (which isn't to say that this bout wasn't - there were some very stiff looking strikes here), and the previous match felt like it flowed together better to me. The finish was a bit disappointing too. Not their best work together, but definitely still a strong match that was worth watching."
[10.0] "This was another awesome match by this two. It's a rematch from their first bout on ROH on the previous show and it was different. It had lots of intensity and stiffness. It was brutal. Joe's submission are awesome and look absolutely devastating, for example the Single leg boston crab or the insane boston crab. Also has some really great strikes and powermoves. On the other hand, Danielson is brilliant, he has some nice technical stuff like that indian deathlock into a chickenwing and his selling is great. It was really good, as Joe was dominating Danielson, as in their other match, but Danielson was coming back, just to be hitted with a devastating powermove by Joe. Danielson tries to emulate Joe's stiffness and he sure achieves it with that roaring elbows or other strikes. I loved the finish, as they were kicking the shit out of each other, then Joe hits some incredible knees and a powerbomb, just to be rolled up by Bryan Danielson. I liked it a lot, because Joe still looks like a beast and Bryan has overcomed the strong monster defying the odds."
[8.0] "This match is even better than their first - a rivalry from two guys who have now become figureheads of the industry and I really want them to run this back now."
[6.0] "Nice but minor expansion on their previous match. It is definitely better, and anything these guys do is watchable, but it's still a far cry from where they would get together on down the line. Still, a nice way to be introduced to their rivalry."
[8.0] "This was essentially a better version of their match a month prior. Everything you would expect from Bryan & Joe - hard hitting, nice submissions etc."
[9.0] "Großartiges Singles Match und generell ist die erste One Year Anniversary Show fantastisch aber dann gab es noch das Main Event. Nach dem solides Singles Match von CW vs Punk kam dieser unterschätzte Klassiker (****)."
[7.0] "Great match, the striking was by far the most compelling parts of this match but there was some really nice submissions too, good follow up from their first match - ***3/4"
[8.0] "They would go on to have better matches in the years to come, but this match is certainly nothing to sneeze at. Danielson gets the advantage early and tries to wear down Joe with some unique submissions, including an awesome Indian Deathlock Reverse Cattle Mutilation combo where the announcers don't even know what to call it (and it's not because the announcers are bad, but rather because Bryan is so innovative that his holds don't even have names yet. ) Unfortunately for Danielson, Joe is just too powerful and he can't keep him down. Joe dominates the rest of the match, with Bryan getting a few fired-up hope spots here & there. Eventually Danielson gets the win with a surprise roll-up. I loved the finish because it came out of nowhere and gave the impression that ROH matches can end at any time. It also kept Joe looking strong because he controlled most of the match and only got beaten by a fluke pin."
[9.0] "Their first ever ROH 1-on-1 meeting from the month prior was already bordering on it, but this one I thought was totally great. It's just filled with fantastic wrestling, coming with great feeling of caution, urgency, one-upmanship & pride. In the early going, they just go at it, locking each other in submissions any chance they got, while also busting out those vicious strikes to one another for good measure. It's great stuff, and once we move on to Joe's control seg, it's also great stuff; he just completely brutalizes Danielson & it's awesome. Danielson has to fight from underneath from that point on, and as I'm sure most of us know, he is excellent at that role. All of his comebacks are terrific, and so are Joe's cut-offs of those, continuing the trend of violence that this match is full of. Pure excellence."
