They did a few 'cool' moves here and there to wake them up for a moment, which I don't think was enough to help them get over as babyfaces. There was a ref bump, there was a chair shot by Sugiura (but not by 'The Chairman' Kitamiya), the crowd didn't care too much about those either. Hopefully this is a V0 reign that ends on 1/1 show, but the fact that these titles changed hands gives me a bad feeling."

A thoroughly poor performance from the new champs, and a confusing result that will only serve to drag down these belts if this initial match is anything to go by. Even a rock solid worker like Sugi wasn't able to help this one."

[5.0] "A controversial match that rather leaves me disappointed. It didn't work as planned for me, I really wanted Kitty and Sugiura to leave with the titles, but we have what we have. Yes, Hank and Tank have energy and they generally convey it by their actions, but at the same time they are not so careful and in a hurry a lot, which leads to botches like in the corner. This match left me with the feeling of not a big title fight, but rather a random tag team match on NXT, which was just somewhat delayed and two Japanese were invited, telling them to work not so hard. From the point of view of the booking, I am absolutely unhappy with this, this year the tag titles were just hot potatoes that have no value, it's a shame by the way for titles with that history."
