[8.0] "This match was great, not only for the star talents but also Ahmed Johnson was great and evolving here, Shawn took it all by receiving the pin, didn't feel like it was on death time, with the crowd spicing the match up. 8/10 [****1/2]"

[9.0] "This was RED HOT! This crowd was eating them up and it was a good indicator of how over Sid could be when he really tried. Even Ahmed Johnson looked fired up here. This was such an enjoyable experience to watch unfold on the television. I can't even express how much fun this was to watch. Probably the best match involving Ahmed Johnson you'll ever see. Camp Cornette gets a cheap victory, but a victory nonetheless."

[8.0] "This match is an excellent combination of sheer star power and pure wrestling skill. It has a hot crowd, a super over Sid getting his shit in, a typical but enjoyably over-booked finish and Bulldog and Owen bumping all over the place for their babyface opponents. Other highlights include peak-era Ahmed Johnson's intensity, star presence and power, Vader being booked like an actual threat and Owen and Shawn's awesome little self-contained wrestling sequence where they effortlessly outwrestle 75% of the other wrestlers on the planet. Great post-match too."

[9.0] "I really love this match what a blast. A star studded 6 man in front of a red hot Vancouver who were basically eating out the palm of their hands from start to finish. Baby face team is extremely over with the crowd so when Camp cornette are in control like they were with Shawn it makes the hot tag that much better. The closing stretch with the brawling outside the ring and the finish with vader pinning Shawn was brilliant. 4.25/5 hidden gem"

[8.0] "This rocks. Sid is over huge here, with the sheer idea of his involvement keeping the people engaged throughout. Michaels does the work alongside him, performing wonderfully opposite a Camp Cornette trio that's at the top of their game. Bulldog and Owen are razor sharp, shining up the babyfaces at every turn with Vader chipping in frequently also. In addition, Vader gets substantial shine on offence, with the match being built upon his initial dance against Michaels. Premier "Road To" action and in this case, a terrific PPV main event. ****"

[8.0] "A really hot crowd, Michaels' entrance shows us with the barrier which gave way under the weight of the fans. The match itself is super entertaining although in terms of in-ring it is not perfect. The meeting between Sid and Vader in the ring was anticipated and is one of my favorite moments of the match. The finish is cool. (4*1/4)"

[8.0] "Very fun Main Event with a really hot crowd. A lot of intensity and big poermoves from all four powerhouses in the match with Owen and Shawn holding together the technical aspects. Outside dives, powerbombs, a huge suplex from Bulldog to Sid, the pin eschange from Owen and HBK. Just a bunch of great moments. Vader taking the win to buildup towards Sumemrslam was the right choice as well. Best match on the card for sure"

[7.0] "Thank God that Sid took Warrior's place in this match. He's the most over wrestler in here and the crowd eats everything from him - him cleaning the ring was the moment of the night for me. Everyone does their job - Michaels, Owen and Bulldog bring some nice technical aspects to the whole match, Johnson looks decent with his aggressive movements and Vader is put over big time here. Surprising finish, but a nice way to set up Vader vs Shawn."

[6.0] "Good main event here and match of the night for me. The crowd was RED HOT for this one. Sid was mega-over in this match, with the fans chanting for him on a regular basis throughout the match. Owen & Shawn were given time to shine halfway through the match and put on a short 5 minute wrestling clinic. Some idiot fan hopped the barrier halfway through and you knew it was legit because heel Bulldog and face Ahmed both chased him down. The finish was awesome, setting up Vader vs HBK at SummerSlam."

[9.0] "This is such a weird and exciting match. There are few awkward moments (as you can imagine with Ahmed and Sid not only in the same match but teaming up) but for the most part there is high drama and all six men get to highlight their strengths. The best part is when HBK & Owen get in the ring together and runs through a bunch of chain wrestling. The Vancouver crowd is hot! I've never seen Sid so over--and as a babyface, no less! The post-match shenanigans add to the experience as well."

[10.0] "Near-perfect six-man tag. I could be completely burnt out, in no mood to watch wrestling, but I'd still be damn excited to be watching this match. The hot crowd definitely helps, but everybody pulls their weight, even Sid and Ahmed Johnson."

[6.0] "Ultimate Warrior was supposed to be on the babyface team but he flaked out and started no showing and wanted Vince McMahon to buy 1 MILLION COPIES of his crappy comic book. Vince basically told him to fuck off and that was the last time the WWF tried bringing Warrior back. It was a terrible run from a guy who didn't care about the business anymore and with each return, got less pops from the crowd. A product of his time. Warriors replacement is Psycho Sid who has been off TV since at least January and they gave him a bit of a reboot and started booking him like a bad ass again after being jobbed out to guys like freaking Henry Godwinn in 95! The good guys get the early advantage, as might be expected. Soon enough Shawn is playing face in danger, and he gets his ass worked over for about 8 minutes. Some retard (in the literal sense) tries to make a run in to save Michaels who goes outside to calm the tardster down. Vader uses a wear down hold then Ahmed gets frustrated and lays out Ahmed. Bulldog in and Shawn tries a crucifix pin on him but Davey samoan drops him. Bulldog tries a pin but Sid drops a leg on Bulldog to break it up. Shawn catches Davey then hottags Sid who chokeslams Vader and it all breaks down. Cornette tries to run interference while giving his tennis racket to Vader, Shawn blocks then pops Vader with it. Shawn pins him but Vader kicks out bigtime at 2 1/2. Vader catches Shawn and drops him in the corner and hits a Vader bomb and shockingly pins the champ. Sid power bombs Bulldog post match and Owen gets some as well. They go to power bomb Vader but Owen and Davey pull him out. Shawn suicide dives over the ropes onto Vader and all hell is breaking lose. The heels retreat with the win and the faces salute the crowd. This was the best and probably only memorable or worthwhile match out of this ppv."

[10.0] "This match is a blast and a half. All 6 guys are in or near their prime years, and because of the 6 man nature of the match, it's an amazing showcase of what these men could do. I feel like Owen Hart steals the show here with Shawn right there too, as both guys get to show not only how exciting their offense can be, but also what incredible bumpers they are, as well as some of the subtle methods that each performer would use to intensify the action in a tag match. Kind of an underappreciated gem from 1996."
Derek Joists wrote on 31.12.2021:
[7.0] "The Ultimate Warrior should have been here, but he'd repeatedly no-showed events so was fired. Fortunately for WWF, they had another wrestler who could come close to Warrior in terms of craziness and lack of talent, Sycho Sid... The match was good whenever Shawn was in the ring, and less so when his partners were, as might be expected. Fortunately he worked a lot of the match, and the 6-man format allowed plenty of flaws to be covered up, making for an enjoyable if not exceptional match."

The match was also structured really well, with guys like Sid and Ahmed getting just enough time to do their cool explosive moves, while HBK carried the brunt of the actual workrate."
