| 3 | 31.10.2025 | GolomWrestling | 0.0 | Why are these fuckheads talking during the entrance. I fucking hate the commentary on anything Bray wyatt is doing. They don't even know what the fucking character is ffs. The lighting ... This can't stay like this. There is no way they made the fiend go after a title, that is so unnecessary for this character. Horrid camera work. Really awful to look at. Horrendous commentary. Perfect storm of bad and it literally just started. Also bad booking and horrible finish, great. Oh nice and the most eye hurting ending to a ppv possible, thanks for that. It's so much worse in context when you watch the firefly funhouse videos before this! |

| 9 | 04.09.2025 | fkaYiKES | 0.0 | I actually can't talk about this match for too long as it makes me too angry. How can you have a match and outcome this atrocious and yet its not even the worst decision they ever made for The Fiend? The Fiend vs Goldberg may have offended me more, but this match is worse start-to-finish. There's nothing I can say that hasn't been said 100x over here already about the match content, so I'll add my own perspective. I LOVED The Fiend. I was scared of "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt growing up as I was young, but here I was just the right age for this to be my thing. I loved everything about his character: his entrance, his promos, the attacks on random people; it was all perfect. Finn Balor vs Fiend (SummerSlam 2019) was my first PPV live. This was my THING. Then this happened. Genuinely unforgivable. |
| 10 | 04.09.2025 | Ph4se0ut | 3.0 | I went into this match thinking the rating may have been a case of a match being over hated or something, but I would unfortunately turn out to be completely wrong about that. First of all, I didn't mind the red lighting. I get it was for the atmosphere and mood of the character, and it was bright enough to clearly see everything that was happening so I didn't have an issue with that. I guess I see what they were going for maybe. To make The Fiend look like it was unstoppable without destroying Seth and without giving him the belt. Seth just kept trying more and more and escalating the measures more and more until finally the ref felt he had no choice but to end the match so it didn't devolve into an actual murder. I see what they were trying to convey- it just didn't work though. The psychology of the match was all over the place. Like the table. Why the fuck did Seth go for a table, and at such an early point in the match? It just didn't make sense. The potential was there but they definitely booked this shit in a questionable manner, to put it lightly. I love Bray Wyatt and The Fiend is sick, but this was just a mess. I give it a three because you can't fault the boys for being pros and going out there and giving it their all to provide a good show with the crap they were given. |
| 11 | 25.08.2025 | WatermelonCandy | 0.0 | One of the worst matches of all time that didn't include someone intoxicated in the ring or incredibly out of shape. From the lighting, to the endless finisher spam prevailing over any kind of actual match structure and psychology to the ridiculous finish that felt insulting to anyone who had wasted their time watching this. |

The pacing was a mess, the booking decisions were baffling, and the overbooked, nonsensical finish completely killed the crowd. What should have been an intense, brutal encounter inside the Cell turned into a dragged-out, frustrating spectacle that failed on every level. An absolute low point for the stipulation's legacy. |

| 29 | 03.07.2025 | TPG | 1.0 | It actually started out alright. The Fiend no-selling the first stomp was actually a pretty cool way to build him up as a mythical creature that Rollins is unable to defeat. So, how does the match get booked to end? A fucking DQ! I remember first hearing about this, and how everyone was chanting for AEW, taking the piss on how a MITB ladder match could end by a pinfall. The red lighting was abysmal as well. Possibly the worst PPV ending of all time for any promotion, if I'm being honest. 1/2* |
| 30 | 18.06.2025 | BasuraNocturna | 0.0 | The Fiend challenges Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship inside of a steel cage (Hell in a Cell). There's so much wrong about this, and so much has been written already. The awful lighting makes the match nauseating to watch. The in-ring action is not any better. Meandering, repetitive and uninspired when either man is in control. Seth tries to show some urgency at certain points, but his awful pantomiming cuts it off before they really get going, making the whole thing painful to watch. The finish is just the icing on the cake of this atrocity, but it was really bad even before that. |

Sure you have things such as Jenna Morasca vs Sharmell; but those get more of a pass because it involves people who are not stars & stuff like that are more side show attractions than actual main parts of the product. This match used two of the top stars at the time in WWE's top gimmick match & it went on to shit all over all of it. It was an insult to the concept of what wrestling is meant to be. It made me question my wrestling fandom & I tuned out to many shows after witnessing this match. |

| 39 | 12.05.2025 | 2violent4tv | 0.0 | What an absolute disaster. Why was the red lighting necessary? It wasn't used during the match with Balor. And for a bout that was supposed to be a major moment, WWE couldn't have dropped the ball harder. If they weren't going to put the title on Wyatt, they never should have booked this match. They could've had Rollins retain via DQ--still not great, but far better than this. Instead, we got a finish straight out of WCW 2000, complete with boos, "AEW" chants, and fans begging for the match to restart. This debacle hurt both men. Rollins is going to be "booed to death" for months, and The Fiend--who relies on careful mystique--was treated like a cartoon villain. It's 2019, not the '90s. You can't build a top star around no-selling sledgehammer shots and ten stomps unless you're willing to commit fully. If he was just going to get up anyway, why not do it ten seconds earlier and win? Hell in a Cell ended with a chorus of boos, "Restart the Match, " and "AE-Dub" chants. It was one of the worst PPV endings in modern WWE history, and the backlash was deserved. If WWE had any self-awareness, they'd give the title to Wyatt immediately on RAW. Otherwise, I'm more interested in seeing how many #CancelWWENetwork tweets are circulating and what Dynamite's rating will be this week. |

| 47 | 12.03.2025 | AtomicCody21 | 0.0 | Without a single doubt in my mind, the absolute worst Hell in a Cell match in the history of the fed. The problems with this match began as soon as the bell ring, as WWE decided to have red lighting envelope the ring that just made the action hard to see. The in-ring stuff was pretty decent as The Fiend was the unstoppable monster and Seth was doing everything in his power to keep him down. Then, the match became repetitive as Seth spamed his finisher nonstop much to the annoyance to the audience. The weapons came out as Rollins used everything but the kitchen sink to keep The Fiend down but it wasn't enough. Seth decided to pull out the sledgehammer and the referee decided to call off the match when Rollins used it. That's right, a Hell in a Cell match ended in a fucking no-contest for the second goddamn year in a row. The crowd rightfully booed this complete bullshit and The Fiend popped right back up to choke out Rollins after the match. This was beyond stupid as WWE buried the concept of the Hell in a Cell match being this vile, brutal structure. It buried Seth Rollins as a babyface and it took him months to recover from this bullshit, and it buried the whole Fiend gimmick just after it debuted. Look, I understand WWE was in a jam while booking this match but they did the worst thing possible. Newer fans that started watching WWE recently will never understand the complete bullshit we had to endure on a weekly basis and this right here was WWE dumping a mountain of bullshit into their audience. |

| 49 | 11.02.2025 | Keithnelson18 | 0.0 | This match ruined The Fiend gimmick and it had the fans turned on Seth Rollins. Everything went wrong during this match and it just couldn't recover. Seth just spamming Curb Stomps is another reason why fans turned on this match. It was almost like watching a Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns match, but worse. Also WWE booked themselves in a pickle, they didn't want the fiend to lose and they didn't want Seth to lose the title, so they basically f themselves over. The ending is why this is the worst Hell In A Cell match ever and one of the worst matches of 2019, the fiend is supposed to be presented as a monster, but ending the match in a DQ cause Seth 'hurt' him is baffling. Speaking of DQ, this match ended in a no contest.....A Hell In A Cell match ended by DQ. X-Pac said it best "How do you get DQ in a Hell In A Cell Match? " Just awful in every way. |

| 54 | 11.01.2025 | krissy13 | | I think it speaks volumes that an average crowd (based on the rest of the PPV) suddenly becomes unified in 'BS' chants. This has to be one of the worst endings to a match, let alone a Hell in a Cell match, where there are supposed to be no disqualifications. Also, making the reason being, "If you hit him with the sledgehammer you will kill him", completely undoes the mystical elements of The Fiend - he's supposed to be beyond the average human, as shown from his constant 1 kickouts after 3 stops and a pedigree. Bray works steady as the Fiend, and because he is no selling the big moves, Rollins works incredibly hard to keep the pace going as best he can, but even that only makes it an average match before we get to the final segment, and the aforementioned nail in the coffin. |

| 56 | 26.12.2024 | Pozerr | 1.0 | For context, AEW held their first Dynamite on the Wednesday before. On that Friday, Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston to win the WWE Championship. That and this were WWE trying to make their fans happy. What a joke. This match couldn't have been laid out to fail harder. The match itself, workrate wise, is fine, but everything around it is fucking atrocious. The red light in the red cell, the awful commentary, the no-selling of Seth's finisher, and the finish. Holy god the finish. For extra context, this is the year after the Brock Lesnar no contest in the Braun/Roman match. They followed that up with this. Fiend all of a sudden just selling on the mat, vulnerable as hell, and Seth then slowly, painfully, stacks weapons and hits Bray with each of them. Fiend just not getting up while Seth is hitting him with shit and Seth actually getting a two off of it killed the character dead. Speaking of killing gimmicks. Seth tries to hit him with a sledge, ref tells him not to for some fucking reason, wish the ref would've told Taker that before throwing Mankind off Hell in a Cell (which was referenced in this match, how dare you compare that to this). So Seth, understanding the rules of Hell in a Cell, hits the pile of shit on the Fiend with it and the ref has seen enough. DQ. How the hell do you get DQ'd in a HELL IN A FREAKIN CELL? |

As well as the last 5 minutes of this match is just seth hitting the fiend with something, going out the ring to get something, hit the fiend with something, go out the ring to get something, man that got boring pretty quickly. I can think of at least 10 different outcomes that would be better than no contest and have seth keep the belt like they wanted, they could've honestly had called it a referee stoppage and it would've worked. i know it would've worked because aew did the exact same thing with swerve and hangman. |

I don't think there are many matches in the wrestling industry that could theoretically be rated with negative numbers, this one however, is NO exception to that. Back in 2019, Seth Rollins was viewed to be the "savior" of the entire company when he finally beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal title in what felt like another reign of terror that was plaguing Monday Night RAW, which had came off of it's worst year (2018) and was supposed to recover, did it recover however? Oh noooo it did not. Instead, RAW stayed absolutely terrible, and while Seth Rollins was far from the worst part about RAW in 2018 and 2019, he really didn't feel like a big deal which was in large part due to his booking, after some lackluster feuds and playing a hot potato game with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title, his next feud would be against The Fiend Bray Wyatt, someone who many (including myself) believe carried Monday Night RAW in 2019. This feud should have been decent, but that would come crashing down thanks to this travesty of a "match". October 2019 was supposed to be the start of a new era in WWE, Smackdown's FOX debut in Los Angeles followed by a PPV in Sacramento should have made WWE fly high; unfortunately, we would see them hit new lows with two of the worst booking decisions that were made in 2019 during the weekend, first was Kofi Kingston's wonderful title reign being squashed by GUESS WHO, Brock Lesnar AGAIN (sigh), and of course what I'm now reviewing, Seth Rollins vs The Fiend in a HIAC match. The match had legit one of the WORST finishes in WWE history but even without the bullshit finish, the match would have been ranked very low anyways, the action was basically Seth trying everything he could to fight off The Fiend, a character who isn't supposed to look weak by comparison to anyone he faces, but what did the booking do? Exactly JUST that. Rollins gives several of his moves to Bray, in which he obviously no-sells due to the character he has. But the worst part of this is the DQ finish. Has there EVER been a DQ finish in the history of HIAC? No. WHY do it with this? ! ? Of course whoever was booking this HAD to continue this feud post-HIAC PPV and having some screwy finish in a HIAC match seemed like the only thing they could think of which is just a shame. This match deserves a negative rating if I could give such, but a 0 for this atrocity just seems right. What's worse is that both these men (Rollins and Bray) would end up on the receiving-end of some massively terrible booking throughout the next year, Rollins never recovered from this until 2022 which was three years after what led to his career slump, and The Fiend? Well, the less we say about what happened at Super Show Down 2020 the better, one of the worst booking decisions of all time with him losing to Goldberg to pop the Saudi crowd. Overall, this match and what transpired afterwards was awful. (DUD) |

This feud was already bad, but the match man, the problem with this Fiend character is that there was no good booking for him. It was so difficult to book his matches, that they did a DQ/No Contest finish in a No DQ HIAC Match. They literally had to break the rules to book him. This match is a disaster from the start, but the finish is just atrocious. |

And third, a Hell in a Cell ended in no contest will always be a huge disgrace. Twenty minutes of torture, because of the match, because of the cage and because of the red lights. | 89 | 09.07.2024 | beardystan | 10.0 | The Hell in a Cell match between The Fiend and Seth Rollins was a captivating experience, delivering more emotions than most wrestling matches. The intense atmosphere, accentuated by the ominous red lighting and The Fiend's eerie presence, created an unforgettable visual spectacle. Rollins' relentless offense, including multiple stomps and weapon attacks, highlighted the sheer brutality of the match. Despite the controversial finish, which saw the referee stop the match due to the excessive violence, the bout was thoroughly impressive. The storytelling was top-notch, with The Fiend's invulnerability adding a sense of dread and unpredictability. The crowd's reactions, ranging from shock to awe, underscored the emotional depth of the encounter. This match was a masterclass in blending horror elements with athleticism, pushing the boundaries of what wrestling can be. The combination of high-stakes drama, visceral action, and unique presentation made it feel like a cinematic experience, solidifying its place as a standout event in wrestling history. |

It's certainly up there as far as bad matches go though; it's monumentally stupid and the audience hates it. The finish isn't as dumb as you would think; a match like hell in a cell can conceivably end in a stoppage, it's not a DQ. But the whole thing goes over flatter than a plate of piss. Isn't there a match where the feind is lit on fire? That's dumber than this, but it's hard to argue with how vociferously and for how long the audience boos this travesty. |
