Chris Jericho vs. Too Cold Scorpio

[9.0] "Great match between two extremely talented guys. Jericho ends up working in front of a somewhat hostile crowd since he's jetting off to WCW. 2 Cold looks awesome, dude was rocking in '96 until WWF got ahold of him."

[6.0] "It was fine nothing special really. Failed to get to that next gear felt like there were just stretching for time at various points. Jerichos last match in the original ecw is a whimper unfortunately. Some nice technical wreslting and sequences but the lack of excitement and stalling drags this match down big time. 3/5 average"

[5.0] "Jericho is finishing up in ECW and heading to Atlanta and the mutants in the crowd aren't happy with this development. There's zero character work to be found here and it makes for a long 20 minutes of two neutral guys just trading cool moves. The opening minutes see both men tie each other up like pretzels. Even Joey Styles wasn't sure what to call the unique holds! Jericho starts to show his diva side when he trades some words with the crowd after they heckle him, but he never commits to anything and quickly moves past this so he can get on with the match. That would be a great way to give this match a face/heel dynamic, which is something that this match desperately needed. Scorpio countering a monkey flip by landing on his feet will always be impressive, let alone when it's done by a man of Scorpio's size. The spots we got during this were impressive, but there's not much else to this. If this was a cold 8-10 minute TV match, then I would be okay with this having little in the way of drama and just be impressed by the high spots, but I'm going to need more than what I got here if I want to be consistently entertained for 20 minutes."

[8.0] "Some of the crowd weren't happy that Jericho was leaving for WCW after this match, I imagine they were no happier when Scorpio left for WWE 3 months later. It's no surpise they left, a small promotion with a focus on brawling is always going to struggle to keep wrestlers as good as these two. We got a great 20 minutes of technical and high flying wrestling that was probably as good as anything else happening in 96."

[6.0] "Pretty decent basic wrestling match but there wasn't anything all that memorable about it honestly. Just a basic but well executed match."

[7.0] "Jericho signs off on his ECW run with a really good match, and it would be a while before he'd have a match that was this good again."
