[7.0] "This was a very good match. So during the NXT vs TNA episode of NXT, The Hardys defeated DarkState to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. Since then, they defended the titles against Team 3D at Bound For Glory, which ended in a victory and the end of the careers of The Dudley Boyz. They had since been attacked by DarkState and going into the the match, the Hardys entered the Lake of Reincarnation and we got the return of The Broken Hardys. This was also a Broken Rules match, which basically is an anything goes type of match. This essentially started out as a 4 on 2 handicap match until both Matt and Jeff put Cutler James and Shaquon Shugars through tables off of big bumps. This led to them dealing with Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin without any distractions. At one point, the DarkState gave The Hardys a 3D Death Drop, a reference to Team 3D. Jeff tried finishing off Osiris with a giant Swanton Bomb from the top of a tall ladder through two tables. However, Osiris moved out of the way, leading to a big bump from Jeff. This was the beginning of the end for the Hardys, as they had tangled Matt up in the turnbuckles and gave Jeff a Doomsday Device where Lennox leaped from a ladder through a table. They then won the match and regained their tag team titles. ***3/4"
[3.0] "A match that made Darkstate look very weak. Sure, they won. But this a team of young talent' up against the what I'd call the ancient Hardyz at this point. It was a 4 on 2 handicap match at one point which was super dumb. The quality is fine, but the booking is awful."
[5.0] "I'm left more confused than anything else after this one. This essentially was a 2-on-4 contest given the ruleset. Though I enjoy seeing the Hardys bring out the old classics like the "broken" persona, it's a tad hard to believe that two guys in the final third of their careers are able to keep 4 young up-and-comers at bay for as long as they did. DarkState winning in the end makes sense based on the format, as having them take the fall would've likely erased any credibility that they still have."
[5.0] "The Hardys dominating a 2 on 4 handicap match in 2025 against dudes that are bigger, faster, healthier, and half their age is not how I would have booked this, but at least Jeff had the decency to throw himself off a ladder I guess."
[9.0] "After the first viewing, the match seemed drawn out, even slow. But after watching it a second time, you can understand the narrative within the entire match. I would like to see a bit of wrestling at the beginning, but the participants almost immediately switched to spots. This did not spoil the impression, but gave us bright moments."
[6.0] "A match that definitely was better than there first outing, Hardys and Darkstate had a fun little match. They essentially worked a 2 on 4 handicap match but tthey worked it well. Hardys would always find a way to come back but the numbers game would cost the Hardys from winning. Eventually the numbers were too much and Darkstate ended up winning. **3/4"
[8.0] "This went a little too far, and the direction was bad asf but it was actually pretty good. The Hardy Boyz were fire. They should have won -- the reign was way too short. I think they should've kept the titles until they retire. ****."
[5.0] "Crowd was into it which was more than you can say for most of the matches but man DarkState is just the pits. How is it you are young atheletes working 4 on 2 and yet still have similar gas tanks to two 50 year-old men? Bleak."
[5.0] "This was messy from the start. The crowd was into it but that didn't make it good. The energy was there yet the match felt like a chaotic brawl rather than something with purpose. Everyone seemed tired halfway through. The crowd popped for things we've all see on every PLE and while Jeff's big dive was cool, it couldn't save a match that ran on fumes. More noise than substance."
[4.0] "Well, for starters, this was just a handicap match from the first minute. You don't need to protect the Hardys by refusing to give them a clean tag defeat in 2025. You also don't need to give them (developmental) title belts to make them feel like a big deal. I don't understand the booking here whatsoever, and that takes a lot away from how much I'm able to enjoy the match. That said, I also don't understand ratings here on either extremity. There were some really rubbish chair shots and the Hardys looked a bit sluggish, but the match itself was inoffensive."
[6.0] "Matt hardy looked himself in the mirror before this match and said to Jeff and himself, "gawd damn has it become my sole life mission to make darkstate look like absolute killers in the ring, " and so they went out there and did exactly that. Jeff is already getting to the point where his matches are uniquely wince inducing, however, I felt it added to this match so let's cherish it when we can. Seriously fun hardcore tag match, yeah it was functionally 4v2 throughout and the average member of darkstate is less than half either of ages so they had to do a lot of more of the physicality. For a train wreck of a match, this one is really employable to watch."
[5.0] "For some reason, we had a 4-on-2 match. Typical of a Hardys match, we had plenty of broken tables and even a crazy spot where Jeff stands on a ladder and leaps into a table (luckily he didn't hurt himself). There weren't too many botches, and a nice spot where Darkstate threw the Hardys into the barricade. Overall, an okay match."
[3.0] "A very strange match. It was essentially a 2-on-4 handicap, which adds a certain illogicality to the Hardys' actions, agreeing to a hardcore match and refusing any help. There were some wow moments, but unfortunately, the Hardys aren't performing at that level anymore, and this was simply a rather average, boring match with a few big moves that didn't make much sense and were only there because it was a Hardy's match. Also, the stipulation gimmick wasn't fully fleshed out; perhaps a cinematic match would have been much better."
[7.0] "Hardys vs. Darkstate was great. The Hardy's are legends who have no business going 100% in 2025. Holy hell Jeff is insane. Darkstate also seen to have tightened up their game too; these no rules matches really suit them. The ending was a little rushed but overall an excellent match with the expected winners."
[7.0] "Very good match for me. Started so active and for the next minutes it became better and more intresting. Hardy Boyz in Broken gimmick are great and they showed their maybe best performance for a last few years. Spots with ledders were so good and even DarkState at the end made crazy thing."
[4.0] "An absolute cluster F of a match. The Hardy Boys need to hang up the boots as of now as neither can go any more. A couple of ok spots from the top of ladders but otherwise a waste of time."
[4.0] "This match is depressing. The Hardys can barely walk, can't run, and Jeff has to land with all of his body weight on his opponent for the Swanton. Basically breaking one of the more important rules in performing. The young guys are probably too afraid to stand up for themselves or are so starstruck they think it's a good idea. This match isn't good and isn't worth anyone's time."
[8.0] "I choose to really appreciate what the Hardys have done since they left AEW. Even though they probably shouldn't, both Matt and Jeff took a ton of sketchy bumps to make this work. On top of that, the Dark State guys brought it to the Hardys. Didnt hold anything back."
[5.0] "The nostalgia of the Hardy Boyz will never go away, but ma, when the bell rings, it's a hard watch to see the Hardy Boyz wrestle in extreme stipulations because of their age. DarkState Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin regained their WWE NXT Tag Team Titles to become two-time winners of the belts. The Hardy Boyz had some moments in this match, but this was one of the weakest matches of the show, and I wish it were Saquon Shugars holding one of those titles because he's one of the most talented individuals on the NXT roster. But yeah, I don't have much to say about this because this match wasn't good whatsoever. I feared for the Hardy Boyz's lives."
[4.0] "If not for the stipulation this match would be a completely disaster but still sucks. Hardy are washed and dark state are a bunch of losers. NXT tag team scene in 2025 is awful. Really I can't understand if your scene lacks of talent call someone from main roster like Pete Dunne& Tyler bate"
[4.0] "Un match remplie de spot mais un match sans saveur avec des Hardys en bien mauvaise condition qui sont en 2vs4 et qui dominent .J'ai tout de même apprécier le spot final et le fait que les titres tag reviennent a NXT."
[5.0] "Decent match for the tag team titles. Broken Rules just means no DQ. This was basically a 4 on 2 handicap match with DarkState constantly using the numbers game to their advantage. The Hardys have to use their experience to overcome the odds. The story was fine, it made sense. You get the greatest hits from the Hardys, who are still doing every crazy spot in their physical condition so credit to them. The Hardys basically cost themselves the match with all the risks they took backfiring. DarkState eventually get the win, becoming the champions once again. 5/10"
[7.0] "Hardys worked REAL hard to give these kids a good match. They did spots and spots and spots, beat them and mostly themselves up something fierce. Hardy Boyz are as extreme as ever, and Darkstate are still as green as grass. Match-wise it was actually quite good. But logically we again get a moment of complete idiotism. Why the fuck are Hardys fighting all four Darkstate members? How are they believably doing that against bigger, young hungry athletes? And why are the young flyers from the 1st match (their students) did not come out to help? If you can forget about all that, you will enjoy quite a vicious carcrash. God bless The Hardys."
[8.0] "I don't know, I think they redeem themselves from their previous match, this was not a great WRESTLING match but it was extremely fun car crash in all the good ways and the Hardyz (specially Jeff, of-fucking-course) took some nasty bumps that they should not be taking at their age"
[4.0] "DarkState vs The Hardys was a Broken Rules Match that featured the signature highlights that made Matt & Jeff's legacy w/the younger challengers having the numbers for the legends to overcome and doing well to bump & set up the next big spot. It was a...match (**)."
"Some really fun and enjoyable spots but the brawling doesn't work and the 4 v 2 stipulation just, doesn't work and serves to make the match a lot harder to buy into."
[8.0] "I don't know why the ratings are so low this was a very good match, the Hardy are of course veterans of this type of matches but Darkstate have really improved a lot. The only issue I have is this being practically a 4 vs 2 with all the interferences but other than that it was really fun."
[8.0] "This was my first time tuning into a wrestling event in a while and out of all the matches on the card, this one exited me the most. It's what you would expect put of a Hardy Boyz tag team match, and this did not dissapoint."
[8.0] "This wasn't just a nostalgia act, nor was it overbooked. It felt authentic and satisfying, with good pacing and some great spots. The crowd was fully invested, too. Dark State winning was a good choice. I don't think they should've dropped the titles in the first place."
[9.0] "Man hardy boyz are still going crazy and doing great matches even in 2025 is just unbelievable. They are creative geniuses, they just can get good matches irrespective of the opposite team. I think most of the commentators here are just giving low ratings just because they are old( I think they just didn't knew they're legacy)"
[7.0] "I could rate this match focusing exclusively on the wrestling and the rate would be WAY lower. But I was not focusing on wrestling during this match. I knew this was going to be a "sfaciolata" (I don't even know if this term has its own page on Urban Dictionary) and I was in the sfaciolata mood during this. And I had fun. This is all that matters to me during this kind of matches"
[5.0] "Well that was special...Make the Hardys lose that quick to a team that was not credible at all, only Dion have a potential. I don't understand the creative decision behind that match. The stipulation save the match."
[8.0] "Very good and entertaining match/ The start was logic with The Hardy Boyz taking out Saquon Shugars and Cutler James and the rest of the spots were cool with the double barricade crash, the missed Swanton and the creative finish for the right winners. I'd recommend watching it without someone telling in your ear that this is bad because of Darkstate or because of the Hardys."
[8.0] "Really great match between darkstaet and hardy boys jeff and Matt are still great wrestlers and this may be the best match of darkstate career jeff man you are a demon crazy that's why he is a goat darkstate are now two time nxt tag champs"
[8.0] "The Hardy Boyz--already TNA Tag Team Champions--entered the bout with momentum and veteran savvy, while Lennox and Griffin (DarkState) represented NXT's rising power. The result was a physical, emotionally charged contest that delivered on spectacle and storytelling."
"(8.0) I loved this match the big spots felt big and the crowd sounded like they were loving it. Don't agree with the ending but great match sucks that the fan rating on here is so low"
[7.0] "I don't think the match was as bad as people are making it out to be. I have so much respect for the Hardys that their performance in the match was icing on the cake. Both of them fought their hearts out. Dark State did a solid performance, the correct winners of the match."
[3.0] "I am going to be brutally honest. Who the hell booked this match into the show? Horse shit all around and genuienly pointless stipulation. This match was just a glorified handicap match. I understand that they don't want to give the Hardy Boyz a clean defeat but how about not making them lose at all? Je'Von Evans put it perfectly "goofy ass Darkstate", they're genuinely awful. 18 day reign of waste now we have Darkstate with the titles again. Yawn. I did not like this match nor think it was worthy for PPV."
[7.0] "Surprisingly, this wasn't as bad a match as it initially seemed. The special rules worked in both teams' favor, and it wasn't as bad as their first meeting. The result was unexpected. I thought the Hardy Boyz would get a long reign, but it is what it is."
[1.0] "Jesus Christ, lads, it's 2025. The Broken Hardys gimmick should've been laid to rest after Matt accidentally got his bell rung doing a similar match five years ago, and yet, they keeps chasing that pop in the twilight of his career. Whilst marginally less embarrassing than Jeff dad-dancing to a please-dont-sue-us-Kendrick rip-off of Not Like Us a year ago, and marginally worked better than the Disaster with the Dudleyz a week ago (to quote Big Sexy) look at the adjective: marginally. That's not to mention that the whole Broken gimmick works better in cinematic matches; in-arena matches, even hardcore ones, just don't have the same sort of "so bad it's good" allure than the cinematic ones. But that's enough about the pageantry, let's talk about the match itself: it was bad. Jeff doesn't seem to have caught onto the fact he's 48 and really shouldn't be doing off-ladder swantons any more -- especially after almost breaking his neck last week -- and it just makes it uncomfortable to watch both him and his brother stagger slowly from spot to spot. But that's not the worst part; the worst part is, in what seems to be the biggest constant going in NXT these days, DarkState just downright sucking once again. No chemistry with their opponents, barely any chemistry between themselves. Basic psychology even for NXT, which makes the chain-spots-and-hope-for-the-best nature of this match even more evident. And yet, they find themselves once again with tag team gold, rivalling the Ascension for the title of the worst team to hold the belts. And there's no heat for them at all; the crowd went from being suitably nostalgia-popped to downright silent as soon as they got an out-of-nowhere pin. They're dragging down what was otherwise a decent card tonight, and they promise to do so in future. Man, what are we doing here?"
[6.0] "A nostalgic spot fest that didn't have much substance but was still fun and engaging. Obviously it was rather slow, but that comes with the Hardy's and their age. I feel as if there were just way too many tables used throughout. The late stage Swanton off the really tal ladder from Jeff really had me concerned for a good minute. DarkState won the belts back as expected. Although rather long and not very creative, it was still semi-watchable. ***"
[8.0] "This is exactly what the Hardy Boys do well, and they even managed to make Darkstate seem like an interesting stable, unlike the last match between these two teams. A nostalgic spot-fest, with the Hardys' standard moments, including a Swanton Bomb from the top of the ladder onto two tables. This ends Jeff and Matt's likely final reign in WWE, with a very interesting and, above all, entertaining match."
[0.0] "- First off, I got such a huge nostalgia wave when I heard Matt's theme he had when he was the broken one in 2018, I haven't heard that theme in years. Now, on to the match, oh year, it was bad. I really didn't enjoy this at much. Hardy's and DarkState don't have good chemistry with each other. I was happy when the match was over. This had maybe 2 or 3 moments, but even that couldn't save this from being terrible. This match went for way too long, I've never heard those groans from Jeff and Jeff needs to realize he shouldn't be doing those high moves anymore at his age. 19 minutes for this? 19 freaking minutes? Get the fuck outta here"
[10.0] "Absolute war, this was the best that the Hardy Boyz have looked in years and bloody fair play to Dark State to bring that out of them. What was essentially a 4 on 2 handicap match was great to watch and see how many spots they could pack into this. Lots of fun"
