[6.0] "Camera completely ruined it to the point where it's a better match if you put it on in the background and sort of check it out/tune in here and there. That being said, it was somewhat entertaining if you don't put it up next to the boneyard/firefly funhouse match"
[0.0] "This is just another trash cinematic match. The camera work and lighting was absolutely horrible making far too hard to see or tell what the hell was going on and it killed so much momentum of both Adam Cole in which this would be his last successful defence as NXT Champion before dropping the belt a month later and also Velveteen Dream who was a very unlikeable individual at the time. Just terrible all the way through."
[0.0] "This "match", if you can call it that, really shouldn't exist. The cinematic approach was a total miss, both of these guys are great workers and should have just had a real match. Felt like an absolute joke and insulting to one's intelligence. The only positive thing I can really say about this is that there were a couple cool spots like the Panama Sunrise on the chairs, but overall this is a disaster in my eyes. I get that the pandemic led to some need for creativity but this was so unnecessary, probably the worst thing I've rated on here so far."
[4.0] "I mean I didnt hate it but I dont really like it. This is just kind of a thing that happened. Cinematic matches are really hit or miss and I think this one leans towards miss. I think this kind of made Dream look like a moron and it made Cole look like a little bitch sitting there almost crying because he got some glass on his arm and didnt move for like 6 minutes. The Uber thing was kind of funny I cant lie. I hated the lighting as it just looked nasty and like this was a live sitcom stage set. The UE looked like dingleberries getting ran off by the spooky mustache man. I liked the introductions, especially Dreams. The Negan outfit was dope as hell. The he drop onto the car and the Panama Sunrise onto the chairs are basically the only cool moments. This didnt even need to be a cinematic match. Its not anywhere as good as the Wrestlemania 36 matches, but better than the Gargano/Ciampa one."
[6.0] "Probably Cole's Weakest Title Match of his Reign but they were forced to get Creative & this had the right idea just missed the mark in execution. I still did Enjoy the Setting for this & it still had some Good Spots (ie Cole going thru the Windshield & the Panama Sunrise on the Steel Chairs)."
[5.0] "Fun at times, nothing really interesting. Nice nothing more. A little comedy here and there. The sheave isn't crazy at times and the lighting when the action takes place towards the ring is really disgusting. (2*1/2)"
[0.0] "Ruined the momentum of Dream, made the Undisputed Era look like weaklings including Adam Cole, had barely any memorable moments, was somehow too slow and too short and was a lazy idea for a cinematic match."
[3.0] "3.0 Adam Cole looked bad during this match. This made the 1 year+ title reign look bad. He ran away and looked winded throughout the match. The only good spot was the car power bomb. The interference was distracting, too. The finish was too plain for a match like this. Overall not as good as it should have been."
[7.0] "Was it as good as the other cinematic matches wwe did up to this point? No. And it had zero reason to be cinematic. But was it as bad as these ratings make it seem? Also no. It was still fun with some great spots and I was entertained ***¾"
[4.0] "I'll be honest, I was expecting much better. In a cinematic match, you can kind of do whatever you want, the two matches of WrestleMania 36 are a perfect example. But here, if I had to compare them, this match was clearly not as good. It was long and rather slow, there was almost no action, Adam Cole tried to run away during a good part of the match, which broke the rhythm of the match. And I still don't understand why they involved Dexter Lumis in this rivalry. On the other hand, if I had to mention a few positive points: the stipulation is interesting even if badly exploited, the entrances of the wrestlers were pretty cool and Adam Cole's fall on the windshield of one of the cars was quite impressive visually, but that's all I have to say about it. In short, a big disappointment. [**1/4]"
[2.0] "This was just hard to watch. The editing was bad, the humor was almost all bad (Dexter Lumis was fine), the lighting made it impossible to watch, it was not a good time. Easily the worst NXT title match in Takeover history. Maybe even the worst NXT title match ever."
[6.0] "I don? t rate the cinematic matches like this. If I did, maybe around **3/4 or so, but it? s hard to really compare it to a regular match when it? s edited so heavily. This was okay, but not great compared to some of the other cinematic matches we have seen."
[5.0] "The best thing I can say about this match is that it was better than One Final Beat. This one was significantly shorter and while the camerawork was awful, I didn't hate this when I saw it. Not going to go back and ever watch it again though."
[0.0] "Incompetent. Not only did this get booked at the worst possible time given the allegations against the Velveteen Dream, but you couldn't see anything due to the disorienting lighting set-up and terrible camerawork. Add to the fact that both men had little chemistry and that large stretches were built around a Lumis interference and you have a dud."
[3.0] "As a fan of both of these guys (especially Cole), this match was a massive disappointment. The match wasn't lit very well, the competitors didn't make good use of the unique enviroment, and they were so focused on brawling that they never even really wrestled. This had so much potential, and may be the worst cinematic match of this era,"
[5.0] "Not a good match with very little content. Only good spot was Cole crashing into the car window. More focus was on outside action which was based on Lumis. No suspense created , no fire and no rhythm whatsoever . A very abrupt ending and a very bad match. **1/2"
[1.0] "Yeah this was pretty awful. No reason for this to have been a cinematic match other then to try and mooch off the momentum those types of matches had gained at the time. This was ultimately a failure and did neither man any favors, would have been better off as a regular match. The match was boring, horribly lit, horribly set up, horribly produced, and the tired UE run in trope yet again reared its ugly head. Just bad."
[3.0] "A crappy cinematic walk 'n' brawl with too little happening of any interest and a nonsensical setting. I understand the need to write Velveteen off TV and not have him in front of a live crowd, but they could've at least done something interesting with it. There are only two highlights in the match that redeem it in any way. 1) that brutal glass bump that Cole took. 2) Dexter Lumis: Professional Kidnapper. Overall a horrid match worth no-one's time and towards the bottom of the already turgid 'cinematic' barrel. 1 and 3/4 stars."
[1.0] "Probably the worst cinematic match yet. I'm not against cinematic matches since i have been very entertained by most of them but this one was just lifeless and forgettable. There was little to no ideas or creativity. They went for a serious match instead of a comedy match, but i would've preferred them scrap the cinematic approach entirely and have a match in the ring. It would've been way better than this. The production was bad as it was hard to see with the terrible lighting and camera cuts. The interference added nothing either. I liked the bump Cole took on the car and the Canadian Destroyer on the chairs that finished the match but that's it. Overall this wasn't good. *"
[3.0] "Good cameo from Lumis but completely tedious otherwise. Haven't seen VD since then, will be interesting to see if he survives the Speaking Out allegations."
[3.0] "By far the worst cinematic match of all. It dragged, was poorly produced, and the cinematic approach added nothing, I feel NXT should not use cinematic matches, it doesn't fit their brand identity."
[8.0] "Another fun cinematch. Although I feel that the length and the stipulation of the match dragged this down a bit. A shorter and simpler match would have been a better route and would have played into the strengths of both performers."
[3.0] "This match blew. Barring The Fiend, this match is the worst of all the 'cinematic' matches. I feel sorry for Cole taking that car bump for this. Also we couldn't fucking see because the lighting was awful and glaring. A generous 1. 5*"
[8.0] "It was fun for what it was, albeit these two would've been much better off just having a 20 minute singles match. They did some good brawling and had some fun spots like Cole eating the windshield. It's not awful, but it was a depiction of the entire Adam Cole v. Velveteen Dream feud which was just "off""
