[7.0] "A really fun match. All the sequences and exchanges looked very clean and each team brought something to the table. Matt Jackson had the spot of the match with his top rope frankensteiner against Rey Fenix. That looked absolutely incredible. The finish was awesome too with that crazy Destroyer from Fenix. ***1/2"

[8.0] "This match has a TLC "demolition derby" feel to it without having to rely on any weapons at all. The organized chaos is lots of fun and it's interesting to see the Bucks and FTR not only "co-existing" but working extremely well together and doing each other's signature tag team moves. Speaking of which: the Lucha Bros' tandem offense is so varied and always evolving. The LB Driver isn't something they would do a lot in later years but it's a bitchin finisher. Fenix looks like he's having so much fun and his chemistry with Nick Jackson shines as always. Highlights include their top rope rana where both men leap from the middle rope to the top rope simultaneously and their innovative destroyer to the outside off Penta's back."

[5.0] "A messy middle of the road match to me. That spot where they all tagged themselves in, was ridiculous and that Canadian Destroyer to the outside was unsafe. The psychology in this match struggled, especially when Lucha Bros. kept getting lost in the legal man waters. Too many cooperated spots, as if FTR and YTB would do each others moves. And why not have your top tag team program job to underneath guys. Great idea. It's no better than a WWE "Can They Co-Exist" ordeal. **1/2"

[6.0] "A completely standard Dynamite spotfest. It was admittedly more fun than I expected for the first half or so, since they all worked at a non-stop pace with their various run-on exchanges and spots, with only Butcher and Blade being the truly forgettable ones. I also thought Lucha Bros were pretty good with the timing and pacing of their tag spots, making them a lot more exciting than either the Bucks or FTR. Some of these spots and exchanges were definitely over-choreographed whenever it came to Lucha Bros and the Bucks more complex stuff, but the speed and precision of the majority of it remained exciting enough to make up for that. The match naturally slowed down when the first ad break came, since that coincided with the heels gaining control and taking the match in a more methodical beatdown direction, which was a lot less interesting but at gave the match a chance to breathe for a bit. The whole point of this match was to play up the "CAN THEY COINCIDE" story with the Bucks and FTR, though at times the match got rather cheesy with the suddenly convenient ways they would work together so naturally and suddenly, without any of the clear planning that such moments would realistically require (and not even for the sake of any especially exciting or cool spots either, just pretty generic joint offence between the two teams), plus their few character interactions -- which were meant to be taken as moments of them questioning whether they could trust each other -- came off as over-acted and thus not convincing. The match again picked up once the full spotfest pacing returned, though this also required yet more over-choreographing from the Bucks and Lucha Bros, which quickly grew tiring. Fenix's big Canadian Destroyer to the outside was athletically impressive but not convincing as a move because whichever Buck taking it seemed to land rather softly on the other 5 guys' huddled bodies outside the ring, so it didn't look truly brutal. We then got a very cliched miscommunication/accidental friendly-fire spot as a way for the babyfaces to lose the match, which wasn't at all interesting. Ultimately a totally alright spotfest, though the best parts were clearly in the first half. I'm assuming this got the relatively strong ratings that it did mostly just because of the names involved. ***"

[8.0] "Very fun and exciting spotfest here: FTR, Lucha Bros and the Young Bucks are three of best teams in the world and proved it in this match. The Buchter and the Blade were just there, they didn't do anything wrong but they didn't stand out for anything. It was nice to see the Bucks snd FTR work together since they had some fantastic combos. The canadian destroyer on the outside was insane and it was the best moment of the match. FTR/Bucks' relantionship came to end when Matt superkicked Harwood that gave the opportunity to hit their new finisher and win the match. 8/10 - 4.25*/5*"

[8.0] "Very fun eight-man tag team match right here between all these great performers... and Butcher & Blade, they're not bad at all but I just felt they were kind of there and they didn't do anything particularly noteworthy unlike the others in my opinion. It was a really crazy tag team match though which I loved discovering because I'd never seen it before, although honestly you could say Meltzer went a bit overboard on his rating but he's entitled to think what he wants and when you see the cast of this match it's not really surprising anyway. It won't spoil my appreciation of this match of course which was a lot of fun from start to finish, it was strange to see the Young Bucks & FTR teaming up but there were some cool sequences between Dax Harwood & Nick Jackson, it was something great. This match accomplished its mission of both planting seeds between the Young Bucks & FTR and providing us with some quality action. Fenix's Canadian Destroyer on the outside was insane and was the highlight of the match for me."

[8.0] "A great match for sure, even if a little overrated at times. It falls into the usual trope of typical AEW spotfest eventually, but they still kept it relatively fresh with all the guys in there. Really confused with having one of the Bucks getting pinned though, especially when they were still building them for a match with FTR here. Otherwise, this wasn't a bad watch at all. [****]"

Super fun to watch and exhilarating, this match is a perfect showcase of AEW? s robust tag team division."

If you go into it with the mindset of a fun flippy spotfest then you won't be disappointed. Tons of fun. 4 1/2 stars."

[7.0] "The trick to reviewing matches like this, which are really heavy on highspots and less-so on anything else, is to watch it and then sleep on it to see what sticks with you the next day. In the case of this match, it was Matt and Harwood? s awesome cooperation, the Canadian Destroyer onto the group (which only looked a little contrived), and then a lot of the stuff that didn? t work. Pentagon pinned Matt after hitting the LB Driver at 16:27. To be fair, I thought the story of the Young Bucks and FTR starting to come together before the miscommunication caused the bad guys to win was a strong one. It just wasn? t present in enough of the match to make up for the really fake looking spots. The extent to which people overrated this is immense, but that happens a lot with stuff like this. But this was outside of FTR? s wheelhouse, and I? m glad they did what they could to try to bring it down to earth. This isn? t talked about much, but in general Matt is just awful at acting in a way a human being would in any situation, and Nick is just vastly superior to him."

Honestly, The Butcher and The Blade are just not at the same level, and it was clear for the entire time. But those 6 together going at 100% speed was just amazing. Fenix Canadian Destroyer spot of the year maybe?"

[8.0] "Pretty good 8 man, though clearly others got a lot more out of it than I did. It was a bit strange, the Buck and FTR worked together seamlessly outside of one small moment, but that made them lose to a couple of team who I like but haven't been presented as being very strong. The big Fenix spot was also impressive but had me scratching my head a bit, but it was visually pleasing so I get it. FTR is looking great for sure."

That man's ratings were never relevant but this is insane. To be clear, this match is really good. The story with the YB and FTR is great fun, that Mexican Destroyer spot is insane, and the surprise win was enjoyable. This makes it ***3/4 to me..."

The addition of FTR & The Blade + The Butcher kept the usual complete spotfest formula fresh, as both of those teams brought their own charm into the thing (especially Cash & Dax). That Destroyer spot by the Lucha Bros was legitimately pretty nuts. Good match."

[4.0] "Yeah no this wasnt good. This was basically one of those all 8 guys run around and do big MOVEZ do to each other matches which is I guess fine as a match structure, but none of the stuff they did looked good or made sense so it just ended up being a disjointed, clunky mess. Finish was pretty weird too in that it didnt fit w/ the escalation of big (dumb) movez they were going for w/ the rest of the match. The Lucha Bros-FTR stuff at the start was pretty enjoyable, but aside from that it was mostly bad **"

Everything seemed to click. Pentagon looked motivated for a change, FTR looked like real machines and the Bucks had some awesome double team moves. Liked it from start to finish. Easily the match of the two shows. ***1/2"

[8.0] "This was really fun and the clear match of the night. It started off in an interesting way, with FTR and Lucha Bros going at it before a reluctant tag brought the Young Bucks and B& B into the picture. Then it was a flurry of nonstop action for the rest of the match, as is usually the case whenever there is the chance to swap in fresh guys in matches like these. The move of the night was Nick Jacksons top rope hurracanrana against Rey Fenix, that was so beautiful even Dax Harwood gave it mad props and prompted Jim Ross to declare Nick Jackson the greatest athlete in AEW -- for 20 minutes, when he gave that honor to Scorpio Sky for doing a simple flip. Oh J. R. , time to retire, man. Great to see the Lucha Bros getting the pinfall here, which might put them back into the picture for a title shot or at least a possible #1 contender's match next week against FTR, which is a match I am really looking forward to."

[10.0] "Fantastic match and I loved all the storytelling elements between FTR & The Young Bucks! It reminded me a lot of the DIY vs Revival vs AOP match in NXT back in 2017. And yet there will be people that ignore all of these great storytelling aspects and claim that the match was just spots. Because apparently people can't realize that in 2020, you can have a spot-heavy match that still tells a really good story. And this did exactly that. The action was fun as hell, the storytelling was great and everyone came out looking good."
