Eddie Guerrero vs. Too Cold Scorpio

[10.0] "Absolutely fantastic match here between two masters. Folks talk about Eddie/Malenko but I liked this pairing the best actually, these two looked magic against each other. Just awesome work on both sides."

[7.0] "Good matchup between two technical wrestlers, although this one feels like it could have been great, maybe it is because of Scorpio working witn an injured shoulder. Eddie is working as an underdog for most of it, Scorpio does well offensively but gets too cocky, in the end Eddie wins it with a quick roll-up."

[7.0] "Eddie is making his ECW debut and Scorpio is coming into this with an injured shoulder. Despite this being positioned as a work-rate match (complete with inpatient assholes in the crowd who chant boring at the first sign of a hold), they don't rush things and let things breathe as they trade holds during the opening minutes. Eddie eventually starts to heel things up to take control and we see glimpses of the future Lie, Cheat, Steal Eddie as the crowd can't help but cheer for Eddie as he's the outmatched underdog. The execution here was flawless, even if they did start to lose me during the finishing stretch as it started to feel like they were just trading big moves and they didn't touch on Scorpio's taped-up arm. Scorpio decides to get cocky and lifts Eddie off the mat after hitting him with a picture-perfect Tumbleweed. This ends up costing him as Eddie is able to score a fantastic flash roll-up to win the match. This should have been better given the talents involved, but this was a great way to debut Eddie to fans who might not be familiar with him at this point."

[7.0] "Two great wrestlers here, and both of them more or less in their prime, but they don't quite deliver their best here. It's still a very good match, but both men would have better. Still leaps and bounds ahead of anything else here in terms of in ring action, to be honest it's better than anything happening in a US wrestling ring in 1995."

[5.0] "Big Eddie Guerrero fan, but I'm not gonna lie this match didn't do a whole lot for me. For just a straight wrestling match it never got particularly exciting for whatever reason. **1/2"

[6.0] "This was a exactly what it needed to be. An excellent showcase for Guerrero in his first ECW match. An exhibition of quick technical moves and reversals. Only regret is that they didn? t incorporate Scorpio? s injured shoulder but that would? ve made Eddie the heel. ***"

[4.0] "I thought this started out good but then as the match went on it just got quite boring and Scorpio just didn't bring anything to the table in terms of story or getting the crowd involved. The crowd was mostly entertained by Eddie as this was his debut in ECW and it was OK overall but I was not blown away at all. I thought that Eddie would attempt to target the injured shoulder of Scorpio but I was wrong and the match took a completely different direction overall. The finish was good as Eddie caught Scorpio by surprise and the crowd ate it up. Not a good match overall though but alright ECW Debut for Eddie. **"
