[7.0] "Alright match here, and I like how it's basically Riddle trying to capture Ricky in different submission holds at the most inopportune times to try and catch him off-guard, though Ricky shows that he's more than worthy of holding his own. I've got to point out how bad some of the kicks look for some reason, and you can tell that Riddle misses Ricky by a mile, but other than that, everything's pretty much on-point. Any obnoxious tropes and spots in modern wrestling are kept to a minimum, even with some of the big bombs being kicked out of at the end (a top rope Canadian Destroyer where Riddle just reaches up and grabs the bottom rope, for crying out loud), they're able to bring it back on track. Ricky pays for trying to cheat by accidently taking out his own manager, and that's what allows Riddle to ultimately get the win. ***1/4"

Over the course of the match, the crowd got progressively more behind Ricky which was nice to see against someone with Matt's history in televised companies. Some trickery helped Matt get the win. A nice showing by Ricky despite the loss."
