[7.0] "This was a great technical contest between Gulak and Kushida, a match that was for the Cruiserweight Championship on top of that and it's rare for a WWE title to be defended outside of the company, it's for these kind of matches that we would like to see this more often. This was typically the match I expected from two excellent technicians like them, some great transitions, strikes, counters, submissions and superb mat wrestling throughout the match. I especially loved the sequence with the roll-ups, it was really fun and led to a good nearfall from Gulak when it was just a basic roll-up. I think it was the first time Kushida had a title opportunity in WWE and he clearly delivered in that challenger status, he was combative and delivered a great underdog performance. Gulak was excellent in his heel-work, targeting certain parts of Kushida's body viciously. Definitely a really fun match that totally belonged in the main event of this EVOLVE show and a good title defense for Gulak."

[9.0] "A beautiful grappling war and the match of the night. Two of the best technical wrestlers in wwe faced off in the main event of Evolve, and they gave us a fun grappling war. Gulak was defending his cruiserweight championship here, and what made the stakes even higher for him was the fact that Kushida had proven in nxt that had had his number, previously beating him two times. If you liked their nxt matches, watch this."
