Simple stories - Kagetsu looked like someone who should be important in the future for STARDOM in defeat (and obviously she became very important later) and Oedo Tai's 'offer' to join them, Matsumoto was great in this match and her post-match promo was effective too, especially because Iwatani and Matsumoto faced each other in the Cinderella Tournament final, 2016 version of Io Shirai being fantastic as you would expect. Just a very fun match from start to finish."

[9.0] "Thunder Rock at their finest here and Kagetsu giving a preview of the amazing main eventer she would become just a little later. Oh and what is this? Hiroyo Matsumoto actually remembering how good she is instead of being her usual lazy self! The amount of action in the ring is simply amazing: yes, it doesn't "tell a story" but helped set up Kagetsu as a believable main eventer and Thunder Rock played Japanese lucha libre at its finest here. Highly highly recommended."

It was fast paced and felt more like a tornado tag match at points, which won't be for everyone, but is something I personally enjoy. There were also no major mishaps, which is impressive for the sheer volume of things that they did. The match also holds some historical significance as Kagetsu was invited to join Oedo Tai directly following it."

[9.0] "Great tag team match as Thunder Rock was on a roll at the time and probably at their height. Loved the dynamic between Mayu and Kagetsu the grudge style exchanges that they had in this match. Mayu selling was great as always during the first part of the match and the dynamic part of the match was so good by being so dynamic and still having some great selling part. (****1/4)"
