[10.0] "DDT Judgement 2020 : During the VTR of the match, Takeshita spoke about all the accomplishement that Tanaka did during his career, Being ECW Champion, being Never Opeinweight champion, And he really mention the match that Tanaka had with Ishii in 2013 for the Never title and he also speak about Strong Style wrestling. So the match begins and they begin like the Ishii/Tanaka match, that was a cool wink. Tanaka begins to work on the right leg of Take and it was a awesome work because he smashed chairs, a piece of a table, he did his slidding D and multiple submission. Tanaka also did his traditional Table spot who is so cool like always and Take even sold his leg when he was on the table. I also liked the coast to coast by Take and right before doing it, he positioned a chair on the head of Tanaka and he did the CTC. Now they exchanges some stiff strikes and they did a head to head for doing headbutts like the Ishii/Tanaka match and i loved every wink that they did. They also no sell a lot of moves after a brainbuster on the 3rd rope by Take and it was so cool. And the end was so good with the stiff exchanges and the elbow pad who was remove by both. Tanaka won in the best way to finish a match with an excellent storytelling. CFØS Ratings : ****1/2"
[7.0] "This match is really disappointed. He could be a MOTYC... If Takeshita selled is leg. However, he didn't, so the match is good but... Without any logic or coherence. I can't go higher."
[6.0] "Follows every modern main event cliche to the point of hilarious parody with brief spurts of insanely stupid spots. Entertaining for the wrong reasons but it's entertainment nonetheless."
[8.0] "Heard Tanaka was having a killer year this year and this match confirmed that. Just crazy signature Tanaka/fighting spirit. An easy ***3/4-**** for me."
[7.0] "Just because this match was disappointing does not mean it was a bad match by any means. The offense was AWESOME, as Takeshita has one of the best movesets in wrestling currently, and Tanaka has always been a great striker. The main problem with this match was the selling, as it was completely ignored at times. There were some awesome spots, but these two are capable of so much more. ***3/4"
[6.0] "This looked to be the best title match in the Tanaka run. However, it let itself down when the match got all mindless with an extended no-sell exchange. Tanaka targeted the leg of Takeshita in the early going, trapping his leg against the post and smacking it multiple times with a chair. Tanaka hit a dragon screw and then a Sliding D right to the knee that could? ve easily dislocated the knee joint. Takeshita being unable to move quick enough the table Tanaka put him on before hitting a splash was a great touch. Tanaka using a piece of the broken table ruled as well. The second half of the match had heavy emphasis on big impact moves but both kept on no selling them, including Tanaka? s Sliding Ds. It left me slightly cold for a good while, until Takeshita began throwing some meaty punches with Tanaka replying with elbows. The finishing rolling elbow hit right on the button for a great finish. ***1/4"
[9.0] "Takeshita.. loses? In all seriousness this lived up to the great match I knew both guys could give. The VTR pretty much set the stage with teasing that this would be a "strong style" match, and that's what Takeshita's fighting plan made for. In a psychological genius move, Tanaka said not today and slowed down Takeshita by going after his leg. Takeshita's selling might be the difference maker for some people whether or not they like this match, but as someone who is numb to 99% of modern wrestlers no selling limb work, it wasn't detrimental to me. Hard hitting stuff with a unique finish is more than I can ask for."
