[7.0] "Fun main event for the show here. Moné & Athena getting the win here made sense, in my opinion, and it continues to give Athena, in particular, momentum going into her match with Storm at Forbidden Door...which she'll lose. That's fine, but it's just a weird decision."
[5.0] "A little light for a main event, but a storyline crossover that did the bare minimum in anticipation of the Forbidden Door matches. In-ring quality: 1.25/4. Stakes: 0.5/2. Justification: 1/1. Placement on the card: 0.5/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonuses/penalties: none. Total: 5.25/10. Match seen on AEW Plus."
[7.0] "Good TV tag match, nothing amazing considering who is involved but it definitely had it's moments. Nice to actually have Athena on TV, finally."
[7.0] "A very solid women's main event, which I would like more of, because women's wrestling in 2025 has been amazing and one of the key highlights for wrestling in 2025. Athena and Mercedes Moné on a team is like putting LeBron James and Stephen Curry together; you'll get something great out of this. Alex Windsor and Toni Storm worked together once again and took the loss against Athena and Mercedes Moné, as Alex Windsor is in the AEW TBS Title Match, and Mercedes Moné will be defending it against three other women in a Fatal-Four Way Title Match. Athena submitted her Casino Gauntlet contract to get the match at Forbidden Door, as she's the current Ring of Honor Women's World Champion, so she wants to dominate the AEW and Ring of Honor Women's Side of things. I did enjoy the technical aspect of this match as we saw a lot of it. Overall, solid main event, and all four women did a great job, and I'm quite excited for the women's matches at Forbidden Door."
[7.0] "This was everything I wanted the previous match to be. This is the best Alex Windsor has looked since joining the company and having her hang with the top of the division really did a lot for her here. Of course there was still a hierarchy to this match and Windsor took most of the punishment but her offense still made her look like a threat especially going into a four way match. Mercedes Mone next up on the totem pole was on form as usual but here did some great character work. It was jarring at first to see the belt collector taking orders from Athena but Mone showing that she is clearly shaken by her loss to Toni Storm at All In still makes bother her and Toni look great, Toni being the final boss of the division and Mercedes still being dominant besides not being as locked in as usual. Toni Storm is Toni Storm so of course she's fantastic with her Mongolian Chops and Fat Bastard impression. The real star of the match though was Athena who has cemented herself as the most believable threat to Toni yet which is crazy considering who Toni beat at All In. Not only was Athena the strongest wrestler in this match but as a character, I'd say she rivaled Toni here, taunting the Timeless One and barking at her tag team partner made her look incredibly imposing but still felt very Athena. Also that suicide dive was absolutely insane. Loved this match, wish the crowd was as into this as I was and I'm so excited to see these women mix it up at Forbidden Door"
[7.0] "A really good women's main event to close out a great show. All 4 women in the match were great and I loved the technical portions of this match so much. Alex showed she could hang with the best on the roster once again I loved her going 1v1 with Mercedes at the start of the match and throughout she looked great loved her cannon ball of the apron. Toni storm is the goat the Scottish accent had me fucking dying every time it was picked up on the mic and the way way it spooked Mercedes was great. Toni looked great in the match as well hopefully all was good with her after the match. Mercedes cooked as per like the goat she is her interactions with the other 3 women were great and like I said I'm excited for Sunday after seeing her and Alex lock up. Athena is so so good everything she does in ring is so bloody crisp and sharp also turning herself into a human missile and going head first into the announce table is love to the game stuff Billie Starkz would be proud of. Overall this was a great main event with lots of subtle interactions based on the past of the 4 of them mixed with lots of great in ring work with a clever finish with the heels standing tall. (***1/2)"
[8.0] "Really enjoyed this match, liked the overlapping stories and the match itself was good. Athena and Mercedes had some great tag moves with the CodeBreaker into Backstabber, and the tope to the outside."
[7.0] "I thought this was a good match to showcase both matches on Sunday. Mercedes/Athena tag team seems like a fire option for the future. It was nice to see Persephone too, at least ring-side. ***1/2"
"Only thing this match showed us is that Athena is 100% losing at forbidden door, at least it's good she's on are tv consistently now, it's a pity the booker does not know how to utilize most of the women"
[6.0] "This was a fairly good match but it did not really stand out as a main event. I am not the biggest fan of Toni Storm, but I did enjoy the work of Athena and Mone here. Athena got the win by pinfall on Alex Windsor, and while this was good, it kind of lacked a good final stretch which prevented it from being much more than good."
[7.0] "It's a good match, better than the dross main events we've seen since All In however it didn't reach its full potential despite getting a lot of time. Windsor was in the match for too long and crowd just isn't invested in her that much to justify being engaged with the match for that long. Also repetitive finishes to Athena victories in the past month has gotten old very quickly, how many more times can you do ''OMG O-FACE OUT OF NOWHERE! '' shtick before it grows tiresome. The awkward ending of this match was something we've seen a couple of times before recently and it definitely brought down the overall quality of the match. Also hated the piledriver on the steps spot so much, first of all why even do that nonsense to one of your top stars on the go home show, it's so unnecessary and the execution of the spot was awful. Toni's head was barely protected taking the impact, it could have ended really badly. The idea was bad and the execution was even worse. Overall it's a good match but had some glaring flaws that prevented it from being great."
[5.0] "[2.5*] Really loved that this got a well-deserving Main Event spot, but despite the action being good (I guess), the match didn't make much sense. It was long, lacked psychology and the ending was weird (the camera shot was cool, tho). I think it was a case where they went into the wrong direction, which happens. There were some nice things along the way, obviously. The overall product was decent."
[5.0] "Good match, probably longer than it should've been and also had a weird ending, but the overall action was very decent and they're four good wrestlers, so everything had a nice quality here. The dynamic between Athena and Mercedes as teammates was nice to watch and I also enjoyed the interactions between Toni and Mercedes - {**1/2}"
[7.0] "The offense in this match was very good, it just seemed to lack much psychology and purpose. This match had some really fun spots, like Athena's crazy dive and piledriver on the steel steps. Windsor's top rope cannonball to the outside, Toni's chops etc. The finish to this match was a total repeat of Dynamite #304 but this time Alex has Mone in a scorpion deathlock, Mone taps but the ref informs Alex that Athena is actually legal. Athena tagged herself in when no one was looking and gets the pin with her top rope finisher. It's a weird finish when no one knows how Athena actually tagged in besides the audience watching the event."
[6.0] "This was a good build-up tag match. It was decent for a go-home show and effectively finished the build-up for the two women's title matches for Forbidden Door. It's just a tiny bit of a shame that the match didn't offer more."
[5.0] "In my opinion this match was boring and was another TV match on this weeks episode that went on far too long. It did little to advance the Women's title match at FD and the ending was confused."
[7.0] "Good main event, they deserved the spot and they had time, so what more could you ask for? Just good wrestling served up by good wrestlers, and the action was great fun from start to finish. I really like the Mone/Athena duo. Windsor has been doing everything very well since her debut too. I really appreciated the way the ending was handled. It was a cool match as a preview for Forbidden Door."
