On top of that, it was never entirely clear what reaction certain wrestlers were supposed to get from the crowd. Even so, it remained watchable and reasonably enjoyable for what it was."

Credit to both guys they quickly try to move on and go with a small package for the finish. Unfortunate way to end a really fun and entertaining match 3.75/5"

Jamie Knoble was the standout here, sharp and precise, while the Jung Dragons kept the rhythm alive with smooth teamwork. Evan lagged behind a touch but still pulled his weight. The finish got messy but for 2001 WCW, that's basically tradition. Fast, wild, and fun."

This is a particularly good taste of what is to come soon in TNA's X Division, it feels like, something that they really should have use even more as a feather in their cap. Quick paced, impressive, and with a nice sense of intensity that sometimes gets lost in the indie era of wrestling that followed this."

Four guys I can just watch all day, thrown together for a Special Bonus Match and asked to impress, and they impress well. That top rope bomb from Yang must have been really impressive in 2001. Finish was ever so slightly messy but I can forgive that at this point. Three good matches in a row, and I'm thinking maybe 2001 is WCW's year."

[7.0] "Even though this was a cold match added to the card with no build, everyone involved did a good job and the result is a fun spotfest that doesn't drag or outstay its welcome. Karagias and Knoble are doing a bit where they don't get along despite being tag partners, but it doesn't come into play during the match. The Yung Dragons are good, especially Hayashi, whose strikes looked proper stiff. These guys move around at a fast pace throughout the entire match, but it sucks that the only botch to be found here is the finish where a top rope move completely misses its intended target. Although this is nothing to go out of your way to see, it's a fun cruiserweights match that showed that WCW could have created some more stars if they were given the opportunity to stick around."

This would be a trend in WCW in 2001 regardless of the fact that the cruisers were trying their best. This match would maybe go up a notch if it where held in any other promotion in any other time period."
