[7.0] "(Grade:C+) This was a great first round match for the 2020 Dusty Cup especially for the new tema of Riddle & Dunne who are more similar especially with their moves and Subculture are a underrated team utilizing their agility to their advantage. overall really liked this one!"
[8.0] "A great opener for a first round match in the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Classic. Both teams had insane chemistry and replied with great back-and-forth striking at a frenzy pace that took the fans off their seats. BroserWeights is one of the teams that weren't destined to be a team but had a fantastic showing together. They are one of my favorite teams from NXT and I totally enjoyed their run until TakeOver: Portland where the pandemic arrived & we weren't able to see the true thriving of the duo. Subculture is another team that's been criminally underestimated as these two are definite workhorses from the British soil. Fascinating showcase of tag team fiesta here."
[9.0] "One of my favorite matches of 2020 came out of nowhere in the very first month of the year. South Wales Subculture versus the makeshift tag team of The Broserweights. And with Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle instantly showcasing tag team offense, this felt like an all-out war between two teams with years of experience. Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster are two of the most underrated wrestlers in the world, and this match had me so invested with them that I've been a fan ever since. The action was Grade A, the suspense met that same mark, and this match set the tone for a great Dusty Classic. 4. 5 stars, 9 out of 10."
[8.0] "Such a fun, fast-paced sprint of a match. It? s not an overstatement when I say there was not a dull moment here from bell to bell (or at least not one that aired). Webster and Andrews assumed the role of the young upstarts with something to prove, who came out of the gate much hotter than it seemed anyone in attendance expected, with Riddle and Dunne returning the favor, keeping up a blistering pace for the entire match. This style works so well for tag team wrestling, which is why it was so fitting to take place in the Dusty Classic, because it allows the match to keep this speed while allowing individual members to rest. No member of this match was going all out from bell to bell, but they managed their resources well enough that there was always something exciting happening. Definitely worth going out of your way to see. ****+"
[10.0] "This is just pure madness, a perfect spotfest, an incredible sequence of great moves under a crowd on absolute fire. I'm completely shocked by what I just watched, so much everything was done to perfection. Fans love to criticize spotfests like this but you have to know that it's so hard to do, here everything was executed to perfection and it's impossible not to be invested in what they do. Riddle, Dunne, Webster and Andrews made magic together in this first round of the Dusty Cup, where no one was expecting anything out of the ordinary. Amazing opening match, easily one of the best tag team matches in 2020."
[10.0] "That match was absolutely fantastic. They runned the action from the beginning to the end with a monstruous rythm. One of my favorite spotfests, if not my favorite spotfest of the year. Some spots made me jump off my chair, that match was incredibly intense. MAMMA MIA, like Mauro Ranallo is saying. The crowd chanting "tag team wrestling" was incredible. The finish was incredible. I can't put a 5 Star because of the absence of storytelling, but that match was outstanding. ****3/4"
[6.0] "Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne -vs- Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews - (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2020 - Round 1) [***] PWG wrestling in NXT! Fast-paced, spectacular, unfocused, sloppy, awesome and little having time to stand-out. A adrenaline rush then and there."
[8.0] "This was great. Some parts i dont like but for a new tag team Dunne and Riddle worked well together It was non stop action with one of the best tag team finishers in recent memory. ****1/4"
[8.0] "No way in a million years is this a 10! Fanboys really need to stop ruining the database with brand loyal voting. It was a good contest throughout, but there was nothing special to warrant a 10/10 score. Webster and Andrews were by far the better team with amazing chemistry. Anybody saying Riddle and Dunne tagged excellently has shit in their eyes. The Dunne wankathon however will go on and on, I just don't get it. If this was on AEW people would be moaning about the match having no rules, no selling and call it a spotfest. It was the first two, but not a spotfest at all, which made it good. But the lack of selling meant moves were random, yes there were an awful lot of very exciting exchanges, but there was no build up of tension and no intensity. A really fun TV tag match with loads of good moves, but a 10? Never. None of the reviews below make a convincing case to justify such top grades. Could it be made compulsory to write a review if giving a 10? Please stop the fanboy ratings!"
[9.0] "This was an incredible tag team match. Great double team combos throughout the match. Riddle and Dunne had insane chemistry while teaming up for the first time ever."
[8.0] "Yeah, this ruled big time. A great AWA Structured Tag match with great double team work, two awesome FIP sections and a hot closing stretch. The Welsh dudes had some complicated moves but it all delivered fine and popped the crowd big time. It's very rare to actually get behind a babyface team but they did it. Dunne looked the best he's been since the Bate match and he had great chemistry with Riddle. They were great aggressors on top. Good match. ****"
[9.0] "This was just outstanding. Mandrews & Webster were terrific babyfaces with their work throughout, and then to counter that, Riddle & Dunne were amazing dishing out the punishment in that vintage Riddle & Dunne fashion. Killer double team moves, fantastic structure from start to finish, great nearfalls -- EVERYTHING about this ruled big time!"
[9.0] "****1/2 rating. Fantastic match. Both teams brought it. Riddle/Dunne are such a fun team, they had great combo moves while Andrews has such an exciting moveset while Webster is just so solid."
[9.0] "Not hyperbole, one of the best tag team matches I've seen! Captivating action, great near falls, unique spots. Fantastic! It earned a "Tag Team Wrestling" chant from the crowd."
[6.0] "Pretty good match just went a little long and it feels like they never stopped doing BIG MOVEZ to each other to the point it just got kinda tiring. Riddle was really good in this though like he always is, without him this probably would have sucked now that I think about it."
[7.0] "Really strong tag team match, with a strong sense of psychology. Visibly the first time that Riddle and Dunne have been paired in a tag team situation, though they melded together remarkably well. Didn't care at all for Mandrews, and I found Flash to be rather fine. Recommended match, likely to be one of WWE's best television matches for the first few months of 2020. ***¾"
[9.0] "A spectacular tag team match just days after the brutal ladder war in which the team of Andrews and Webster was involved. Riddle and Dunne have absurd chemistry as tag partners, considering this was their first team teaming live. There were about five moments were I thought the match would end, but it never did. Constant suspense, innovative spots and double teams and many exciting near falls made this one of my favorite tag matches I have seen in a long time."
[10.0] "Probably the best TV tag match I've ever seen. You really couldn't tell that Riddle and Dunne were teaming on TV for the first time. The X-Plex into a powerbomb into a knee/kick double team was fantastic. Mandrews and Flash Morgan Webster are really fucking good as well, and are having a brilliant week. *****"
