SANADA vs. Taichi

[7.0] "Ta-yan and SA-yan together is always a fun watch, especially if we throw there some HoT shenanigans and Milano pay off spot. Anyone feeling that Unione nostalgia? Second best SANADA match of this G1 after EVIL match. ***3/4"

[4.0] "A rough one but there was still some fun stuff on here. Nice for Milano Collection AT to get some retribution on SANADA. SINGLES RECORD: SANADA 7-1"

[4.0] "(Grade:D/**) It started of fine, I enjoyed the moment of Milano Collection AT get in some action on the outside yet I found it pretty meddling."

[6.0] "This wasn't bad and kind of fun at times. These two were angry with eachother from the jump bringing the intensity you'd expect of former stablemates turned rivals. Perfect for the HoT member to get involved also being a former stablemate. The crowd was super behind Taichi and he did role as underdog babyface taking on 2 guys really well before a brutal guitar shot and whiskey to the eyes."

[6.0] "Sanada as a midcard act hasn't been so bad recently, but this went a little long for that. The House of Torture stuff really needs the crowd to be behind the babyface otherwise it's DOA. They were behind Taichi (and Milano) so I didn't think this was so bad even if it's pretty formulaic for HoT."

[4.0] "Nothing to see here. Just shenanigans after shenanigans. Sad because they could have put a good match as seen at the beginning."

[4.0] "This match is kind of a mess. There is some good action between the two at times, but of course plenty of interference. Not the worst match of the tournament, but it is definitely on the bad side."

[5.0] "I do think this was too long but for the most part I thought it was relatively decent. Some relatively solid action in this as well as some fun interference spots. I loved Taichi enlisting the help of Milano on commentary to throw Kanemaru into Sanada. The match does drag a bit towards the end but the finish is pretty fun with Sanada getting the win with a guitar shot. Could've been far better had it been shorter, but this was still fine and certainly not as bad as some are making it out to be. **3/4"

[7.0] "Interference, low blows, guitar hits, interference again, who cares if it was just fun. I had fun and it's definitely not the worst HoT match I've seen. I thought SANADA and Taichi played the intrigue well in their battle and maybe didn't do that much in the ring in terms of moves, but from an emotional standpoint they did enough. Taichi was as close to winning as possible, even got his revenge on his enemy, but for the first time in the tournament SANADA used a guitar and that's it. Honestly, I'd rather watch matches like this than the thousandth epic match and other nonsense that wrestling already has."

[5.0] "I have a real soft spot for both these guys, and so I probably appreciated this more than most, but I understand why it is divisive. I think the story of Taichi and SANADA as former stablemates is told really well here and we get about 10 minutes of actually really solid and entertaining work, but that other 5 minutes of interference, low blows and guitar shots definitely detracts and leads to this sadly just being an average matchup in my eyes. SANADA gets the win via a guitar shot and Kanemaru interference in a very overbooked finish, but this was not a bad match and I did really enjoy the work of Taichi as usual."

[2.0] "** bad match, one of the worst of the tournament, very meh sequences, and few notable ones, it had the plays of the House Of Torture in moments where Sanada seemed to be at a better level than expected and they just cut it off for those interventions, it lasted too long for what it was, about 5 minutes less and it's not bad, super basic bad ending and no joke, a lot of intervention to get nowhere with a bit of the same old thing"

[4.0] "Taichi's charisma saved this from being unwatchable. Just the usual clown show HoT match otherwise - low blows, interference, guitar shot, distraction, etc etc etc. HoT continue to be the worst. **1/4"

[6.0] "You know exactly what you're in for with House of Torture, but the SANADA/Taichi component makes this one fine"

[5.0] "As mentioned below, more House bullshit abound, but it's one where the other parts of the match save it. Take the 5 and get outta here."

[6.0] "Now the story saved this one from being the usual HoT trash. I'm usually giving really low scores from matches such like these ones but the story was objectively great and the callbacks to their last match were good. Only thing that didn't make sense was the finish. ***"

[2.0] "Average HoT match, but this somehow was the most frustrating one out of all of them. I have no clue why, i just hated this match with a passion."
