Hiromu Takahashi & Ryu Lee vs. Jushin Thunder Liger & Naoki Sano

[7.0] "fun match here to open night 2, Liger does some great stuff here in his final match and sato bit of offense looked good as well, Ryu Lee doesnt do to much here same with sato which makes since as it feels more of a passing of the torch from Liger to Hiromu who does pin liger after a timebomb really fun match"

[9.0] "This was an incredibly moving final match for Liger. I love that he got to go fighting with the best of the (super) juniors, teaming with Sano against two of the best wrestlers in the world! The crowd absolutely erupts for each and every one of Liger's spots, and Hiromu especially leans into playing the heel here. A very fitting end to an incredible career, it's great to see a legend go out on his own terms."

[9.0] "Liger and Sano retired with a hugely emotional and highly entertaining tag match against another pair of career rivals."

[7.0] "It was the last match of Liger, sadly it wasn't a memorable one. Liger still looked good and the other guys were fine in their part."

[5.0] "Hiromu Takahashi & Ryu Lee -vs- Jushin Thunder Liger & Naoki Sano - (Liger's Retirement Match) [** 1/2] Liger's final match of a 36 year long successful and influential career! And it teams the top junior rivals of 1990 against the top junior rivals of 2020! Well executed bout. Typical of the type of match Liger has been doing the last 15 years. Not prime Liger, but efficient enough for it to be a nice send-off while unselfishly putting the current generation over."

[6.0] "Not what you would expect for a retirement match at the Tokyo Dome, but a perfectly fine match nonetheless. Loved Liger getting Hiromu all fired up. I think Sano slightly slowed down the match at times, but nothing too bad. I still believe Liger's match with Suzuki should've been his final match, but this was alright. ***1/4"

[9.0] "Ah, maybe it was the nostalgia, maybe it was how much I love the young team in this match, but I thought this was flat out great. I haven't watched all of Wrestle Kingdom but honestly this was my favorite match on either card that I've checked out. Bravo to all involved, and to New Japan for putting it on."

[6.0] "Jushin Thunder Liger's final match. I didn't find this as emotional as Night's 1 opener weirdly enough. I guess because this was not your usual Japanesse retirement match. The wrestling in this match was better though because of the younger guys. Sano clearly slowed Lee down though, which is probably not what Lee wanted in his Tokyo Dome debut. And of course in his final match Liger puts over the current Junior champion. ***"

[6.0] "It was fun for what it was. 2 teams of 2 rivals going and Liger putting over two future stars in his farewell match. A bit confusing at times when Hiromu and Lee would seemingly go heel and viciously beat down Liger and then go right back to being respectful challengers. Sad to see Liger go. There will never be another. (**1/4)"

[6.0] "Thank you Liger. Incredible career that has transcended multiple generations. Decent match to go out on, Takahashi will always be the last guy to pin Liger which will go a long way for him."

[8.0] "Unreal to think that this is Liger's last match ever. What a legend that man is. One of the very best pro-wrestlers we have ever had. This was a wonderful sendoff for him -- he got to play the hits & the youngsters in the opposing team, especially Hiromu, fired him the F up, making him showcase some of that vintage nasty-side of his. Thunder Forever!"

[7.0] "Good bye to the legend in what was a good last match that ended in the most humble way i have seen in professional wrestling. Sano was just there but Liger killed it with both Takahashi and Ryu Lee ( which literally translated Dragon Lee). ***3/4"

[6.0] "This was a fairly simple match. They went out, hit there spots, entertained the crowd, got a few good near falls, end of story. ***"

[8.0] "I really loved this match. Liger got his signature spots in, and I popped huge for the surfboard. For pure workrate, this was arguably less than the rating that I am awarding to it, but the added emotion and history attached to this match inherently increases its value. Perfect final match for a true living legend. ****"

[6.0] "***1/2 rating. Solid match. Was cool to see Liger on top early before Lee/Hiromu used some heel tactics to get back on top. Definitely a good retirement match."

[7.0] "Like the 4v4, this match is not something great but is very fun to watch, especially because of the story involving Liger. ***1/2"

[7.0] "This was fine for what it was. Not nearly as fun or exciting as I was hoping it would be but an overall decent final match for Liger. Letting the future of the junior division get the win was the right choice but made for an emotionally negative moment at the end of Liger's in-ring career. Still essential viewing as it's going to be the last match of a legendary wrestler but sadly not actually that great of a match."
