Josh Briggs vs. Oba Femi vs. Yoshiki Inamura

[7.0] "The silly ways they had friends "accidentally" mess with each other was funny. Briggs on the ref's hand and Inamura being thrown off a pin by Oba and landing on his friend to pin him especially. There was something chunky and realistic about the actual action. Briggs and Inamura looked confused working together, but like they maybe thought they could do it backstage and now Oba is running in front of them and they need to hold to the plan. Yesterday, I left a big comment on a terrible 3 way with the Tony D story. This one actually has stakes and means something. No surprise it is good."

[7.0] "Decent triple threat, if not a little short. I enjoyed the dynamic of Briggs and Inamura having a bit of conflict regarding doing things honorably vs whatever it takes to win a title."

[9.0] "This triple threat was an absolute banger! Oba Femi's commanding presence dominated, but Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura matched him with fierce intensity. Briggs' cunning referee distraction and rope antics sparked juicy chaos, while Inamura's sumo-charged shoulder blocks and thunderous powerbomb stole breaths. Femi's crushing Fall From Grace on Briggs secured victory, but the layered storytelling teasing a Briggs-Inamura rivalry kept the crowd electric. Every slam, betrayal, and nearfall screamed main-event energy. Oba's reign continues, but all three men shone brightly!"

[7.0] "VERY good hoss fight. Briggs' best match by far and Inamura and Femi delivered too. Great bout that went exactly how it should have; zero complaints."

[8.0] "One more banger match for the NXT title. Really good powerful wrestling with high speed and drama in Briggs/Inamura story."

[8.0] "Hell of a main event. Nice story beats with Inamura and Briggs, but the action here was what made this great. Briggs is an underrated big man in there (his moonsault is a thing of beauty, but so is his lariat) and I'm interested to see where he goes from here, and how high. Oba Femi's incredible NXT run continues and more specifically his run of triple threat matches. Dude has never had a bad one. Inamura is so damn fun and I hope he sticks around."

[8.0] "Oba Femi is still undefeated in three-way matches. The two former friends now could have had a chance if they had teamed up, but instead they spent the entire match neutralizing each other. As a result, Oba could only retain. After the match, we saw that it was the end of the team. Then we saw Evans with Undertaker, which shows that he's going to get a push, and he deserves it."

[7.0] "Oba Femi is an absolute beast. The guy's a monster. Loved the moment when Briggs steps on the referee's hand to stop Inamura from winning--really clever spot that added a lot to the story. Everything just clicks better when Inamura is in the ring. His arsenal of moves and raw power are insane, and that splash looks picture-perfect. The splash followed by Briggs' moonsault was a great sequence, and the showdown between Inamura and Briggs turns into a straight-up war--just stiff, heavy-hitting chaos. It all builds up beautifully to that BRUTAL lariat from Oba Femi, who pins Briggs and keeps Inamura protected in the process. Really well-executed from start to finish. The early dynamic between Briggs and Inamura slows things down a bit, but once it kicks off, it's pure fire."

[6.0] "Josh Briggs vs. Oba Femi vs. Yoshiki Inamura was a good match as well as being the best match on this episode of NXT."

[7.0] "Good match for the NXT title. Briggs and Inamura worked together early on against Oba, but that broke down because Briggs was willing to get dirty while Inamura wanted to win honorably. It was a nice story to tell as the two of them have had some issues recently and things broke down here. Oba took advantage of the situation and was able to retain. 7/10"

[7.0] "Solid match. Very competitive. Solid sequences between all three competitors. Solid effort put forth by all three men."

[8.0] "Wow, the match probably deserved a bigger stage, but overall Oba Femi deserves more we're talking about a top star here. I don't understand why he's still in NXT; this guy should already be a main eventer on Raw or SmackDown and they could really use someone like him. That said, the match was truly great: intense, hard-hitting, and they really went at it. The opponents did well too, but I had few doubts about Yoshiki. Let's see who Oba Femi's next challenger will be, but I fear he'll only drop the title when they finally decide to move him to the main roster."

[8.0] "Great match and another great defense from Oba Femi. Inamura deserves a lot, I like him too much, Stiff and Briggs are not bad even if inferior to the other two. Fun match where the divisions between the now two former friends are evident."

[8.0] "This was an excellent match and truly an exceptional main event. Recently, outside of Ethan Page, Je'Von Evans, Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, and Yoshiki Inamura, the NXT Men's Division has been quite talent-depleted. However, this match stood out, and I really enjoy watching Yoshiki Inamura in the ring; he brings a lot of intensity. Josh Briggs performed well too; interestingly, his best career performance was alongside Oba Femi in a Triple Threat Title Match in 2024, where Oba Femi managed to take down both Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura, ultimately retaining his WWE NXT Title. We now have an idea of who might be next for him, as the scene cuts to the backstage area where The Undertaker speaks with Je'Von Evans. It seems that Je'Von Evans will be targeting Oba Femi and the WWE NXT Title next. Overall, it was a very entertaining main event for this special episode of NXT in Houston, Texas."
