[9.0] "Hervorragendes Match zwischen Kerry und Ric. Ein für damalige Verhältnisse ein sehr schnelles und kurzweiliges Magch mit einigen Hold Phasen zwischendrin die aber zeitlich so gehalten waren, daß sie in den Matchfluss passten, anstatt zu stören. Ich wurde tatsächlich gut unterhalten und frage mich warum das Match noch nicht von mehreren Fans gesehen wurde. Man sieht das ganze Match über das technische Können beider Kontrahenten und auch die Crowd ist hier richtig heiß was das Match für mich nochmal mehr zu einem kleinen Klassiker macht. Das einzige was hier für mich zu einer höheren Note fehlt ist das doch sehr Lahme Finish, welches das Match zwar runterzieht aber nicht so doll wie bei einigen hier. Dieses Match ist auf jedem Fall sehenswert. Hier kann ich nichts anderes als 9 Punkte geben."

Von Erich's athleticism and crowd support made him a credible challenger, while Flair's tactics kept him in control. Unfortunately, an abrupt shoulder tackle finish dulled the impact of an otherwise well-worked bout. 3.5 stars."

Von Erich and Flair never really fail when they're in the ring together and the action throughout 99% of this one was really good, but the finish is downright shocking and makes Kerry Von Erich look really weak since this was the return match from Christmas Star Wars where Kerry beat Ric by DQ."

It's the usual with these two, you see good technical wrestling, good punches/chops, and a strong heel/face dynamic backed with a hot crowd to help. The crowd is really heated and I dug all of this match except the finish where Flair just hits a shoulder tackle to win C'mon man. I know Im watching this through the lens of 2023 but that still felt way too anti-climatic for me. ****"
[10.0] "Absolutely wonderful match. Kerry was a really over babyface in 1985, Flair acting as his foil on-and-off since the early decade. The two had several matches heralded as classics over time, but this is the one that you need to watch. Crisp action, heated crowd, psychology. This is a masterclass in professional wrestling, and among Flair's finest matches. *****"
