[5.0] "Not all the way there in terms of in ring chemistry, made more apparent by the crisp understanding between Becky Lynch and Bayley the previous week. Both competitors show aggression in this match while maintaining babyface status, but not in different enough ways to make the matchup that interesting. They tease the double pin spot after a superplex, so at least it doesn't come out of nowhere. But it still is contrived. Lyra sometimes pulls off transitions between moves that look cool and are flashy, but don't make that much sense. Not saying it as a fault of the match, but as something that is very valued by some people and that doesn't make much for me."
[4.0] "The work in the match was really good, both wrestlers are great. I'm a big fan of Lyra nowadays, she rules. But the crowd was just atrocious, sitting on their hands and not caring about anything for 90% of the match. The lack of excitement from the crowd, the non finish and the horrible finish from last week all compounded for a bad experience for me."
[7.0] "Pretty good. Torn between 6 and 7 but it gets the edge because the finish wasn't what I expected - I thought we were going to get the whole "heel-interferes-causing-a-no-contest-thinking-that-means-there's-no-#1-contender-but-there's-actually-2". They got to probably the same destination while making it clear the two are evenly matched and furthering their feud with eachother."
[4.0] "Slow. Pedestrian. Boring. Take your pick with this one. Just completely forgettable but I'll give them points for a creative double-pin that may lead to something greater."
[7.0] "Good match. I particularly liked the moment before the final double pin that could have been a double pin itself. Knew it was coming but the set up was nice. Like they're both thinking and planning in the same ways for the same things. Very cool."
[7.0] "It was a pretty decent match, I thought the way they finished it with the double pin was creative. It was a bit of a departure from the usual DQ and interference."
[7.0] "Decent match, figured it would end with a DQ or some kind of non finish to setup a triple threat. Looks like that's what we'll get for Evolution, and Lyra should pin Becky to win her title back honestly. Lyra is getting a lot out of all this, she can hang with the best in the company and will improve too."
[7.0] "This was a very fun match. I knew a screwy finish was going to happen or some form of DQ, but they just did the double pin so they can announce in the future for that pending Triple Threat Match at WWE Evolution. Lyra Valkyria and Bayley, after the match, still went at it and were tearing each other apart, and it was crazy stuff. I am loving this mid-card feud because it has elevated and established the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship a lot with this amazing feud."
[6.0] "This was fine, I admit that I expected and wanted a little more from this but it was by no means a bad match. This just felt like them treading water to get that finish in. I didn't care for the way the finish looked but not against the concept as long as it has a good lay off now."
[7.0] "Lyra/Bayley was good, could have been longer. The wrestling is still good between the two and the finish is great to further justify the triple threat. If Becky had stepped in and cost the two the match, it wouldn't have made any sense"
[6.0] "A decent match between Bayley and Lyra. I'm not a huge fan of Lyra. I think she is bit of a dud on the mic and good in ring. But she is always sloppy. And this match was no exception. Some of the exchanges were very weird. Some spots had no fluidity as both of them forgot what the next spot was. The finish was also kind of abrupt. The wrestlers are being too much protected under Triple H's booking.Hence the roll up victory. Lyra won by roll up in their last match. Lyra beat Becky and them Becky beat Lyra in their previous matches via roll up. It would be good to see them winning with their finisher and then 1, 2, 3 for once."
[8.0] "Just like with Rusev vs. Sheamus, the only thing holding this one back was the crowd, totally the wrong energy for a match this creative and well-executed. The women delivered something really strong here. Lyra impressed me a lot with how effortlessly she turns anything into a pinning combination. At one point I caught myself thinking I'd love to see these two just have a full 60-minute technical showcase. Toward the end, it maybe got a bit too counter-heavy, I'd have preferred more aggression, especially given the stakes, but it still felt coherent and driven by character logic. Great match that deserved way more love from the crowd (***3/4)."
