Chris Hamrick & Tracy Smothers vs. Eddie Kingston & Jack Marciano

[7.0] "Given who's involved, shouldn't be a shock that this is pretty much textbook southern tag stuff. As such, Eddie and Blackjack spend 80% of this bumping and stooging for the babyfaces and they're pretty good at it too. Eddie has the chance to get some of those lovely chops in, but that's not what this is about. It's about seeing the vets give the freshly shaved heels a beating and it's a good time for that. ***"

[7.0] "Very solid tag team match. Was mostly excited to see his cause I haven't seen much of Eddie Kingston's early work and it's safe to say here that the man oozed star power from the jump. He and Blackjack Marciano were fun heels that worked well together and got good heat from the crowd. I only knew Southern Comfort through neiche matches from my teenage years, Tracy Smothers from some forgettable matches with Juggalo Championship Wrestling and Chris Hamrick from getting killed by New Jack I Wrestling Society X. Safe to say both these guys impressed me. Smothers is a great babyface Powerhouse here and Hamrick was pulling out moves I had no clue were in his arsenal. Honestly kind of wish it went longer but this was a great start to the tournament"
