Interesting sequences and spots, but the first two with the table where it doesn't break looked terrible, and the chair shots that Tremont took were also hard to watch and Tremont didn't sell them well enough. The bleeding was very poorly disguised. Good intensity, as expected. Interesting ending; the triangle choke that Mad Dog applied with the help of the dog collar was ingenious and well executed."

[7.0] "[3.5*] Awesome plunder match! I just love how Tremont always brings the fans to his matches, he's always calling them out and shouting, it's really awesome. This match was super fun, it wasn't anything revolutionary when it comes to street fights but this was very fun. Both of them bled, they used chairs, trash cans, tables (one which refused to break two times lol) and the classic Dog Collar at the ending which created another sick finisher in a Connelly match."

The best kind of Mad Dog matches feel completely out of control but this leant far too much into modern plunder style rather than just focusing on the violence. There was character work that really took me out of this like Mad Dog telling Tremont it was not worth it and he should quit when the whole character has always felt like win, lose or draw he just wants the violence and carnage. Tremont spent way too long playing the homer with the crowd getting them to chant DPW etc when he is supposedly in a fight with a guy he hates. Cut that out and focus on hurting each other and they have a great one in them."

I say this all with love. 2 of the stand out violence artists of the modern era beating the shit out of each other and dropping each other very hard. Awesome match. Mad Dog one of the most interesting guys out there right now, and I'd kill for a proper deathmatch run from him."

[8.0] "This was absolutely fantastic. Probably DPW's best match of the year so far. As expected this was extremely violent. Within minutes, Tremont is busted open and for the rest of the match is just gushing blood. Most of this match takes place on the outside with both guys clattering each other with anything not nailed down. It's so intense and visceral and it feels like both guys are really out to hurt eachother without any regard for what's around them. We get a lot of gnarly chairshots to the head and some brutal table spots on the outside, before we finally get back in the ring and Mad Dog tries to lock both him and Tremont in the dog collar but is speared through a table. After this we get an awesome finish which sees Mad Dog catch Matt in a triangle while both guys gush blood absolutely everywhere, before Matt passes out and the ref calls for the bell. Sick. One of the grittiest matches of the year. Violent, uncooperative and bloody. Exactly what wrestling should be. ****1/4"

The finish was just excellent with Matt Tremont's blood squirting all over Mad Dog Connelly's thighs while Connelly's got Tremont in a stranglehold until the ref had to stop it. Just loved how violent and how well they were able to work together in what's a really great feud between the two."

[8.0] "its funny that i loved more of the in ring action than the lengthy brawl on the outside despite the, a lot of bloody brawl but all expected things they did, the chair shots and the tables, thankfully the crowd very into both guys, which is awesome especially for Connelly that was struggling initially to connect with the Durham audience when he debuted initially. Back to the ring after that though it was scrappy fight with full intensity, punches and kicks to work around the table on the corner, Connelly putting the dog collar on and very decisively wins immediately after. good emphasis on Connelly's dominance with the chain on, that's his territory he's most comfortable in."

[8.0] "A rush of ultraviolence with enough uncooperativeness to make it even nastier. The brawling is great. The type of chair shots they take to the head (especially Tremont) make you cringe and grit your teeth. A couple of crimson masks only enhance it, while not even taking that much time for the blading. Every time one tries to set something more elaborate up, the other gains the advantage, making it feel much more like a real fight. Even when Connelly is able to put the collar on Matt, he's tackled through a table for his troubles."

[8.0] "Connelly has went full on Cactus Jack with the promos and I am here for it. As a Deathmatch fan and a DPW fan, seeing Tremont here is huge for me. Good to see some color here as it's not typical for DPW. Some brutal chair shots and stiff strikes. Fun plunder and table use with a great finish using the dog-collar, which should build for the feud ending match. DPW has built a good one. But based on the post match promo maybe they are transitioning to a feud with Corino?"
