There's a lot of fun stuff in here."

[9.0] "This was so fun for me. Should have given a 10 out of 10 but eliminating Walter that quick is the most stupidest decision this company could have ever made. With that said, apart from that, this was a great match. Super entertaining and the constant dream match scenarios made me super excited. Keith Lee, what a star. Well I guess was. I truly don't know what happened there. Man had everything. Even AEW fumbled him for some reason."

I love the fast first half of this match where the wrestlers are out of the match after one hold. I love the moment when Orton gives Ciampa, Priest, and Riddle an RKO. And I love the very intense and emotional second half of the match. This is unequivocally 5 stars for me."

Except for Keith Lee (and for 5 minutes in the end) nobody got memorable spot: Ricochet did his pretty jumps, Riddle gets exalted, Walter as first elimination was almost a comedy sketch, Priest and Ciampa were just... there. I'm not saying that was bad but simply overrated due to the partecipants, mediocre imho. Except for some fine spots, that was only a extremely long and crowded bout, resulting quite repetitive and dull."

I really didnt like at the beginning of the match eliminations were just happening left and right. I also HATED Walter being the first person to be eliminated and it was also just clean slap dap in the middle of the ring. I think him and strowman should have been counted out together. But once we got to the point of the match that we werent having eliminations happen every 2 seconds the match is so good. I think keith lee should have been giving this win in my opinion it really would have opened many eyes to him even more so then there was. Its crazy how much the crowd is cheering for team NXT here. Really fun match and one of my favorite traditional survivor series tag matches. 4.25 stars."

The match had a lot of strange or very quick eliminations and the storyline between Corbin and Reigns during the match was simply terrible."

Jacklist95 wrote on 02.10.2023:
[8.0] "There were some great sequences here but the match really feels rushed due to the fact that there's have to be 14 elimination in about 30 minutes, so a lot of men are eliminated very quickly and don't get to show a lot. It's was a good showing for Ciampa and Lee though and the final 4 was really entertaining. 8/10."
ZooWee wrote on 12.04.2023:
[8.0] "This match is pretty standard up until the final four when everything kicks into fucking overdrive. Seth, Roman, Ciampa and Lee put on a clinic with great action and near falls, but the match somehow gets even better when it comes down to Roman and Lee. It only lasts about 3 minutes but Keith Lee's spirit bomb to Roman and Roman's subsequent kickout is one of the greatest near falls I've ever seen. While everything before the final four was just kind of ok (and WALTER getting eliminated first is an absolute crime), this match is still pretty great, just because of those final 10 or so minutes. ****1/4"

I always liked the Raw vs Smackdown matches because at least I could enjoy some good wrestling, but putting NXT gave to the stipulation a new life, and it worked very well. Great exchanges between all the participants and a fantastic performance by Keith Lee at the end. I didn't like some of the eliminations and the fact that Walter was the first eliminated (I can easily say I hated this) but the match was great overall"

[8.0] "Surprisingly good for such a large survivor series elimination match. Considering there were 15 men in this mathc and they only had 30 minutes its understandable not everyone would be able to showcase their talents and we would have some questionable eliminations. Gable and Riddle had an incredible sequence, Damian had some good strikes, Ricochet crazy as always, Ciampa and Lee had a great showing too. Some elimations like Ali who didn't get much chance to shine or Strowmans countout felt cheap. Walter's elimation was annoying but with time constraints and he seems to do better in slower paced, longer matches so its understandable. If WWE want to get more viewers for NXT they should do this yearly as it would be a great way to showcase talent and introduce new wrestlers to a wider audience."
LivingLegend wrote on 11.11.2021:
[8.0] "This was good, but features the annoying tropes that accompany a match like this. Lightning fast eliminations after people tagging in once and getting immediately eliminated (looking at you Mustafa). However the workrate here was off the charts. Gable and Riddle had a fantastic sequence of mat wrestling early on, Owens choosing to eliminate Chad instead of Ciampa was a great story beat, as was Ciampa eliminating Owens immediately afterwards. Strowman's elimination was lame, as was Mustafa's. The finishing stretch with Reigns and Lee was fantastic and made Lee a star (until Vince ruined him around a year later). Everyone talks about how this match made Keith Lee a star, and it did, however nobody seems to talk about Ciampa in this match. He was phenomenal here, being one of the focal points throughout almost the whole match, after being in a grueling 40 minute wargames match the night prior. Huge props. Great match overall. [****]"

The highlight in particular goes to the final sequence between Roman and Lee, with the latter creating a star making affair for himself. I also enjoyed some of the little stories in the match as well. [****]"

[9.0] "This is one of the most well written Survivor Series Tag match I have ever seen, and certainly my favourite. Stupid WALTER's elimination aside, everything was booked to perfection and yet how hard it must have been to write a match with 14 eliminations in such a short time and keep some of these guys strong. Well they did it and this match is a real success that deserves every kind of praise, because there are so many brilliant things in this match that I can't even name them all. So I'm going to quote my favourite part and it's obviously this stellar final-three between Lee, Reigns and Rollins that made Keith Lee a star of the company and a real turning point in his career. Great crowd, great action, non-stop chaos, this was bloody great. (****½)"
MR LARIATO wrote on 26.01.2021:
[5.0] "Just LAME. Eliminaciones sozas típicas en estas series (por desgracia, pues la estipulación me parece genial cuando se ejecuta de manera épica), el equipo de Smackdown es un desfile de bultos salvo por sus talentos menospreciados. Los demás equipos me parecen más equilibrados y diversificados en cuanto a peso, estilo de lucha y desempeño, pero lastimosamente caen todos como moscas, aun cuando en otras luchas los bookean como si fuesen de goma. ... WALTER nunca quiso estar ahí y no lo culpo."

It didn't matter that much though, it was a really enjoyable match, with a lot of great spots and also a nice story to tell, regardless of some of the more over wrestlers being eliminated quickly."

[8.0] "My only complaints are: -Walter eliminated so soon. Yes, the fashion was not bad, but I think he should have lasted more. -Braun Strowman's elimination made little sense. This was a three-sided contest, so Triple Threat rules should apply. Hence, a count-out really baffled me. Other than that, this match was really enjoyable for what it meant, which was not really much aside from the theme of the event."

[3.0] "This is a catastrophe. I saw good elimination matches, I saw bad elimination matches, but I never saw so trashy and useless. Throughout the battle, everything goes according to one scheme, the wrestler does something, and then he is caught on a mistake and destroyed. Yes, there was a beautiful wrestling, but I absolutely did not see the point in it. McIntyre is disgusted, his work is terrible and spoiled the entire first half. The wrestlers from NXT were at the level, but half were destroyed immediately, the rest sparkled at the end. Reigns - well done and the best player of the match, Keith Lee also did not fall behind and showed a decent performance, but this was not enough to save the match from failure (*1/2)"

Amazing performance by the NXT team, especially Ciampa and Keith Lee. I didn't like Roman betraying Corbin (the captain of the team) and winning at the end. Anyway, a solid and entertaining match. ****"

Dragon Fighter wrote on 26.11.2019:
[7.0] "Enjoyable enough! How surprising it was! I would say the best one since 2016 one. Aside from WALTER getting eliminated early, this was really solid. Keith Lee was the one to be put over here as he really should be focused more instead of him not getting in the ring for too long, but the match itself did fine job to direct that way. Solid action from the start to the finish with some good reaction from the audience. Reigns winning was not a bad choice. The guy deserves some moments after having a pretty dull year in terms of booking. And i don't mind for a Reigns/Keith Lee match in the future."

[5.0] "I don't mind a big dumb WWE survivor series match sometimes, even the 2016 raw v smackdown one was one I enjoyed, but this format is just a mess. Weirdly booked and borderline nonsensical, I only really took pleasure in seeing a few tastes of 1 on 1 matches; Gable facing Riddle was neat, as was McIntyre/WALTER chop-offs, and especially the last little section between Reigns & Keith Lee was terrific. To give them credit, I don't really watch NXT TV, haven't for a while and haven't cared about Keith Lee since he signed, but this made me (probably foolishly) think that Keith Lee could have a great run in WWE, he looked really good."
ZestyZuluWarrior wrote on 26.11.2019:

[6.0] "Both Survivor Series matches had the same problems. Too many competitors due to the addition of NXT. Very poor eliminations. Unlike the Women's elimination tag team match, it still offered some great wrestling - especially in the last phase. Even the glimpse of some dream matches made me exciting. I can't wait for Riddle vs Gable or Ciampa vs Rollins at some point in future - they did really well. Though he didn't last long, Kevin Owens' "new" aura killed the show. He seems more like a rebel now than in his feud with Shane. Currently he feels like a mix of a ruthless Kevin Steen and a brutally honest NXT champion Owens. With more time or less competitors this'll hopefully become even more exciting next year."

[9.0] "This was one of the most excited matches I? ve seen in recent memory. Everyone played their role to perfection although I do think some should? ve had bigger roles (cough, Walter). This did something that WWE are usually awful at doing and that? s creating stars. Ciampa is definitely gonna be a remembered name by casuals for everything he did here and Keith Lee came across as an absolute star. The final sequence between Keith and Roman was absolutely phenomenal. Loved this."
storkyknight wrote on 25.11.2019:
[3.0] "God this was bad. There was nothing fluid and so many of the eliminations defied wrestling logic. Reigns being last man standing was so predictable. He was even kept well out of all the best action because he cannot work at the level of KO, Drew, Lee, Ciampa and Seth, even Corbin, Riddle and Ricochet offered more than the Big Dog. Yet the face of the company still overshadows more worthy wrestlers. I love Keith Lee and he was good, but the overreaction to his performances belittles it. He was not that good, still better than most, but nowhere near his best. I agree with most opinions about the WALTER elimination, when Ali, Shorty G and Priest are in the match it must be one of those bums taking the first pin. On paper this match was only ever going to be messy and I cannot fathom how anybody could have enjoyed anything other than the very brief moment when Lee was on fire."
ShibataWresler wrote on 25.11.2019:
[9.0] "This was, from the start to finish, one of the best multi-man car crashes I've seen. Not every match needs to be a 30 minute classic wrestling with no non serious moments. This match was all about fun, great start with the three monsters, though I hated how they eliminated WALTER so easily. But after that thing, this was pretty much great. Gable and Riddle with those exchanges were really good. Ricochet being a highlight reel as always. Strowman running over everyone. Randy Orton with those RKO's. Everyone in the match had moments to shine, and when it came down to Rollins, Reigns and Keith Lee, that finishing stretch was my favorite part of the show. Even in defeat, this was a star making performance for Keith Lee. BASK IN HIS GLORY DAMMIT! ****1/2"
Lexino73 wrote on 25.11.2019:
[2.0] "I absolutely did not like this match. Strange booking decisions were already from the very beginning of the fight. I really didn't like the way they knocked out the top Walter, he just slipped from one finisher. Further it was even worse, to merge Damian Priest under the steam in a couple of seconds and then ridiculously also Matt Riddle, who was not at all allowed to prove himself besides grappling with Shorty G, this is clearly not what he deserves. All these quick eliminations resembled matches from 2017 and 2018 and they did not even think of changing the scenario of the match, they simply copied it. Then they completely removed Mustafa Ali from the match in his hometown, in a completely idiotic way, where he could decide the outcome of the match, but no, he was stupidly buried in this match. From what I liked in the match, I will highlight how normally Ciampa and in particular Keith Lee were shown, when he stayed against Rollins and Reigns he was shown with dignity. I really didn't like that again the audience was fed with Roman Reigns and put up as a superhero only at the end of the match, but Smackdown needed this victory for the ratings on Fox there is nothing to be done. **1/2"
