[3.0] "Just so uninspired, I appreciate what this match was used to set up, which is a great promo from Cena, but god they should've just let him attack punk and cut the damn thing instead of using one of johns last matches to set it up. Absolutely useless"

[2.0] "Fucking insulting. They never had any intention of giving R-Truth a decent run as this serious character. They brought him back just to keep him where he was because the company can never see him more than a joke. The unfortunate truth as well is that Truth at this point not be capable of such things anyway or maybe he wasn't allowed to I'm not sure but before the match he's talking all this "When I see John Cena I'm gonna kill him" and then we see some of the least aggressive offence out of the man ever. I think he had more intensity as Ron Cena. The match also ends in disqualification because fuck us it's not like this is a match we'd actually like to see"

Before the match, Truth was fired by WWE and the fans managed to bring him back, then started a new serious Truth that hasn't been seen in years and he wanted to destroy Cena. So it had a decent build-up, but then the bell rang and everything went to shit. Another waste of one of John Cena's final matches. These guys just never had good chemistry"

Second why The fight ends and Punk appears as if he was going to save Truth, he gets an attitude adjustment on the table and falls asleep for like 20 minutes, the promo seemed like a cheap copy of Punk's in 2011, and it doesn't seem to me to be Cena's best as a heel, despite the fact that the level is very low and his run as a heel is being very disappointing"
[0.0] "This is exactly why this same venue struggled to sell tickets in December. They advertised the first John Cena singles match on weekly tv since 2018. 7 years. Against the new Ron killings character which had crazy hype and they give us a short match with a DQ ending. I'm sorry, but if that's the case then just don't do the match man."

They removed the only interesting elements of that match (the crowd and some of the moves) and delivered a disgustingly bad, slow-moving, unmotivated, and completely empty fight. Probably Cena's worst match this year, without a doubt."

JayTheTaz wrote on 22.09.2025:
[2.0] "Rubbish. This was somehow longer than their SNME match (which wasn't too bad), even though there was nothing to it. I really have nothing to say at all. Probably was only done to set up the title match with Punk a week later and to try and capture the nostalgia of the 'pipebomb' Cena cut afterwards because "Hey Cena fought Truth before Punk did the pipebomb, wanna see it again?"
Screaming Enigma wrote on 24.08.2025:
[3.0] "Wow, this was...not good. Arguably worse than their match at Saturday Night's Main Event? I don't know, man. WWE is really fumbling Cena's retirement tour badly, in my opinion. I like Killings, but one of the limited number of Cena matches we have left could have been used for someone like Carmelo Hayes or Aleister Black or something."
SiticEye wrote on 02.08.2025:

Draftonism wrote on 07.07.2025:
[2.0] "Nothing home to write about. Truth got majority action and Cena didn't do much, leading to a disqualification with a title shot to the head and a stepping stone to a Pipebomb."
Krzysztofwwe98 wrote on 29.06.2025:
[5.0] "This match had one task. It was a prologue to Cena's pipe bomb. A regular 5 minute action in the ring with a brutal Cena at the end. It was good for the time they got and they fully fulfilled their task. A nice reference to their match from 2011 after which there was CM Punk's pipe bomb. To sum up, I don't rate this match because of what happened at the end of the show when John gave the promo of the year. I rate it 5 points because of the history of these two, for Cena fighting on free TV and for the nice culmination of the history of these two, related to the return to MiTB, attacks from behind, a new hairstyle or this fight where Cena shows himself as a strong, strong monster heel. I hope that this is the end of the story between these two because at the moment it ended in a perfect place and the feud itself did its job perfectly building Cena-Punk and providing us with a lot of joy."

[1.0] "Somehow this was worse than their SNME match? The promo afterwards was decent, and the match-up itself was a nice callback to the original pipebomb, but that's it."
ricardoanjos12 wrote on 24.06.2025:
[3.0] "To summarize, if it weren't for Cena's pipe bomb at the end, this would have been a disaster. Not all the heat that was generated for Killings is used and this match has this repetitive ending. I expected it to be a match where Ron would use his anger and beat Cena up to the point of causing him to cause the DQ, but that was missing."

[0.0] "Wow, they did it again! Another worst match of the year contender from Cena and Truth. Only happened to set up a segment. Just completely pointless and kills whatever potential this Ron Killings run had. The in ring sucked, finish sucked. JOHN CENA SUCKS"
BasuraNocturna wrote on 23.06.2025:
[4.0] "The whole story of Cena's last run (even before the heel turn) is that he's washed. After the heel turn at Elimination Chamber, he's only been able to win by blatantly cheating (with a low blow plus belt shot combo most of the time). So Truth getting the advantage makes sense. It is a very short match, much like their Saturday Night's Main Event one, and isn't far off from that bout in terms of quality. A quick three-act structure match-up that doesn't have time to drag on. The DQ finish feels like the logical progression now that Ron is not as naive."
robbyplaha wrote on 22.06.2025:
[0.0] "Ron Killings and John Cena had a disappointing match. I thought we were getting a 10-15 Minute Main Event, but it was cut short, and John Cena cut a savage promo on CM Punk, having his version of the Pipe Bomb, which was the best work of John Cena in his current heel run."
AJN7 wrote on 22.06.2025:
[5.0] "This match was worse than their Saturday Night's Main Event match. Not reasonable to expect the world from these two given their ages. Hard to hate on it too much after the promo that was delivered afterwards. Cena recreating the pipebomb after 14 yeas was incredible to see."
danzitorock wrote on 22.06.2025:
[2.0] "Barely a match, I was surprised this even got through the 5-minute mark, but yeah, this one only existed to set-up the big angle between Cena and Punk afterwards, and to serve as a callback to the infamous pipebomb, which also happened after a Cena vs Truth match. The action was lazy and definitely unimpressive, but I wasn't so disgusted like some people are here, there are some matches that are just meant to suck - {*}"
ultravioletshiroi wrote on 22.06.2025:
[3.0] "This was just 5-10 mins of basic wrestling moves being repeated over and over again. John Cena's matches lately have been very slow and boring, it's clear he's facing heavy limitations now due to his age. Ron Killings is even older than John Cena and he's also nowhere near as agile as he used to be. He executed Cena's own moves on him and spammed punches. The match ended with Cena walking out like a cowardly heel. Nothing to write home about."
Jamildo2 wrote on 21.06.2025:
[0.0] "This is a f**king joke. I really mean that. A five minute match with a three minute ad break. A grand total of two minutes and twenty three seconds in the ring. Most of that with literally no action because apparently even THAT is possible. This was the 'main event' in an 'ongoing feud' where Ron is being taken more seriously. This Cena run has been a joke."
RavenCrow75 wrote on 21.06.2025:
[5.0] "Good match overall spoiled by a DQ ending. Pretty competitive. Good sequences between these two competitors. Killings can still do it in the ring and Cena still looks good after all this time. Both veterans show they can still get the job done in the ring."
BorrisCortes wrote on 21.06.2025:

[4.0] "A misfire to build momentum for a match between Truth and Cena that even had Truth come out earlier and interrupt another match, only to have this debacle. Took so much of the fire out of Killings' return, all to set up something between Punk and Cena. A shame."
DiscoVince69 wrote on 21.06.2025:
[0.0] "Another joke of a match between these two. I tought the Saturday Night Main Event match would be my most shitty match of the year. Well congratulation, you managed to make an even trashier one. The R Truth return is already pointless after two weeks, hurray. Will we ever have a real match between these two? I hope so but i dont think so"
Raditz Flair wrote on 21.06.2025:
[0.0] "A non title match ending in dq for the non champion in a 5 minute nothing match is disastrous. The fans want to love Ron Killings unironically for once and want him to be some kind of featured player. Also, Punk and Cena rehashing their feud beat for beat isn't a callback, it's lazy."
GM56 Champion wrote on 21.06.2025:
[3.0] "It didn't mean much. Ron was just a little more serious than he usually is, but he should cut down on dishing out Cena's moves. It was supposed to be his dead serious persona. John, well, he spoke about his body not being able to endure a full-time schedule anymore, so he wasn't going to bump a lot before his big match with Punk. I wish this match had ended by a pinfall or submission. It wasn't a disastrous finish though as it fit Cena's current character. And yeah, the commercial break took half of the match. Not a must-watch by any means"

[4.0] "The big Ron Killings push didn't last all that long, he's just the setup guy for John Cena vs. CM Punk. Despite also being on TV (cable as opposed to over the air this time), this didn't have any of the same stakes as their Saturday Night's Main Event match, and just led to what was to come between Cena and Punk."
