[5.0] "This was really disappointing because I was hoping they would redeem themselves from their last match on dynamite but these two just don't have any chemistry. Both matches have been not good at all"
[6.0] "Not as good as their previous meeting a year prior, in my opinion, but still a solid match in and of itself. Zeuxis losing was a bit of a forgone conclusion, but I still enjoyed this and thought that both women looked good, with Moné adding another belt to her collection."
[5.0] "Great fire from Zeuxis to start it up. But then it deteriorated into too much of a one-sided match. Moné wasn't getting any of her offense in. That made the finish feel abrupt and ended up hurting the bout as a whole, even if I can appreciate ending the match on a high spot instead of dragging it on from there."
[5.0] "They just did moves & you can hear a pin drop in the arena during the match, only getting 8-9 minutes does suck but both could've did a better job considering their 1st match was much better"
[7.0] "A good match. Even if it was a bit quick, it was still really cool seeing Mercedes and Zeuxis wrestle. Mercedes is on a historic run and I want to see every match of Zeuxis I can going forward."
[3.0] "By far the worst match of the night. Rushed and heatless, since the crowd seemed dead most of the time. I'd say Mercedes was overall fine, I think, but things were kind of sloppy on Zeuxis' part. Don't like the idea of Mercedes winning the CMLL women's title without even having a single match in the promotion at the time, but that was the expected result after all."
[6.0] "I wasn't familiar with Zeuxis, but she gave me a solid first showing. Mercedes Moné, who's on her Kenny Omega 2021 belt collector run, has won the CMLL Women's World Title. This match could've been a lot better, but Mercedes Moné has been having an all-timer year She has been conquering everything that is put in her way and now she can add one more title to that list as now she builds more momentum and stem to AEW ALL IN as she prepares to face the AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm for her title in a couple weeks."
[4.0] "Really a comment to give it a 4? This wasnt great, I like both but this match didn't work for me and I think this would be the overarching opinion. The hype for all in is still there, this didn't ruin anything. It just wasn't good/great to me. Chemistry wasn't really there. Pacing was not my cuppa."
[2.0] "Predictably a poor match especially if you saw their previous one on dynamite. Rushed, awkward and forgettable which perfectly sums up this forced and awful run for Mone. The lack of chemistry and complete lack of storytelling due to the predictable and lame outcome of the match was very apparent from the get go. Crowd being completely disengaged to the point where they barely reacted to the finish tells you the whole story. What's the point of a belt collector run when barely anybody cares? They'll jump down your neck for asking these questions but it's been obvious for a long time that this run doesn't benefit anybody other than the person holding all the belts and even then they aren't reaping the benefits in the first place lol. Only giving this a couple of points because of the post match angle which was executed flawlessly. It sucks that Toni is tasked with carrying this dead feud accross the finish line only for her to be a yet another loser of the month for their golden girl."
[6.0] "Thought this could've gotten even more time. The action was nice. Finish caught me off guard but I don't have a problem with Mercedes winning, and I expected it."
[8.0] "Mercedes Moné vs. Zeuxis was a fast-paced and high-stakes match that delivered both technically and narratively in just under 10 minutes. Taking place at AEW's Grand Slam: Mexico, this bout wasn't just about the CMLL Women's Championship--it was about history, legacy, and international dominance. The crowd at Arena Mexico was hot from the start, and the action reflected that energy. Zeuxis came out aggressive, landing big strikes, a suicide dive, and even a top-rope Spanish Fly early on. Mercedes weathered the storm with excellent counters and clean offense, including her signature Codebreaker-style tombstone and a slick pumphandle slam. What stood out most was the momentum shift mid-match. After the commercial break, Moné took control and showed her experience by adapting to Zeuxis's aerial attacks. The finish--Moné catching Zeuxis mid-air and transitioning into a diving crossbody pin--was well-timed and felt earned. Post-match, we saw more layers added with Mina Shirakawa appearing and a Toni Storm vignette teasing the next chapter. That little segment added more weight to the match's importance and to Mercedes's title win. Yes, it could have gone a bit longer to allow more drama to build, but for its length, it was tight, clean, and had real stakes. Mercedes Moné becoming the first woman to win titles in WWE, AEW, NJPW, and CMLL is a major moment, and this match gave it the spotlight it deserved."
[7.0] "I enjoyed the match. Zeuxis fucking giving everything she had to Mercedes and Merceded just having to sit there and sell it fucking ruled. I wish they a bit more time to expand on this match just a bit but it ruled that it was so physical. The finish was nice with how sudden it occurred. A fun mstch. ***1/4"
[7.0] "The match began with Zeuxis in control attempting plenty of covers beofoe Mercedes could could get going with the statement maker then a meteora of the top rope for a 2 but Zeuxis regained control with a huricanrana and a crazy dive with a rough landing which lead to Mercedes taking control on the outside of the ring but as we get back in the ring Zeuxis uses her power advantage to get back on top with some slams before Mercedes countered with a back stabber and elevates knees in the corner but Zeuxis fights back with a a poweslam on the apron and top rope Spanish fly for a 2 Mercedes then goes for a huricanrana and the statement maker but Zeuxis breaks the hold and then the women battle on the top rope with some head butts as Zeuxis goes for a body slam Mercedes counters it into a top rope power slam to steal the 3 to win her 6th belt which is to many for the Goat to even hold then we get a video package form a detective Tony storm and appearance as she hits a German on Mercedes leading to belts flying fucking everywhere as Mercedes escapes before Toni could hit storm zero. Overall a great match could of benefited from a couple extra minutes (***1/2)"
[6.0] "A slightly surprising finish, but a good match, especially from Zeuxis, who made some fine moves early on before Moné regained the upper hand and collected another prestigious belt. In-ring quality: 1.25/4. Stakes: 1.5/2. Justification: 0.5/1. Place on the card: 1/1 Suspense: 1/1. Bonus/malus: none. Total: 6.25/10. Match seen on AEW Plus."
[4.0] "Overall, a technically good match just with a bad ending and bad booking. Mone DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE BELTS! One thing I think I am noticing about this particular show is that it is NOT an equal exchange. For being a champion, it almost seemed like AEW was trying to make Zeuxis look more like enhancement talent than a legitimate threat to Mone. TONY KAHN NEEDS TO STOP PUSHING MONE DOWN EVERYONE'S THROAT!"
[5.0] "Thought this was okay, really loved the post match and I think they are simultaneously building belt collector Mone and her title match against Storm very well. 2.75 stars"
[6.0] "It was a good match, but considering this was the only women's match in the card and the only world title on the line, giving them online nine minutes was disappointing. Zeuxis landed awkward after that tope suicida and it may have something to with that (the time), but anyway, it was a fine match and Mercedes Moné always shines. ***1/4"
[7.0] "I thought this match was fine, although ended a bit abrupt. A good showing for Zeuxis whom I'd never seen in action before. There were good spots and it was nice seeing Zeuxis on top and using her power advantage throughout much of the match. It felt like the match could have been stellar had they managed to do more, but considering the quick pacing and all the high risk moves it wasn't bad. The outcome may have been too obvious though."
[3.0] "[*1/2] I thought this was outright bad. There was a couple of spots that looked like they went wrong including the biggest spot of the match and the finish. Atmosphere was flatter than most of the card until the post match angle."
[8.0] "I said it the last time these two wrestled but I think they have really good chemistry together. The result here was a really good ten minute sprint. There were some great spots in this match, especially when they went to the outside or up top of the turnbuckle. When they came back from break before this one the crowd seemed a bit subdued, however they definitely woke up again as the match went on. I thought the finish was especially well done. It was unique while still not seeming over choreographed."
[8.0] "I get that is feels rushed and some people don't like it, but it was really good while it lasted. The most simple and truthful answer. Mercedes Moné is such a huge star. Requiring a minimum of 500 characters to review a wrestling match on cagematch.net is dumb and a waste of time. We're talking about scripted entertainment, not groundbreaking science. Sometimes I just want to say "great showcase of technical wrestling" or "total flop" and move on with my day. Forcing people to stretch thoughts into filler just to meet a quota doesn't improve quality--it just discourages casual fans from engaging."
[7.0] "Really good 10 minute sprint but i feel like it should have gotten way more time. Crowd wasnt into it at all and the ending was way too abrupt. I'm not even sure if that was supposed to be kinda a roll up or just a devastating top-rope move. The ladies did incredible tho for the time gotten it just didnt feel as special as i thought it would be. I already knew it during the entrances that they didnt get a huge spot. Mercedes adds another title to her collection but i'm not sure where we're going with this. In my dream world she'd defend one of them each week cause she's one of, if not the greatest womens wrestler in the world but thats not happening so i dont really get it"
"Fantastic showcase of the only women's match on this card. Mone and Zeuxis delivered a very physical fast-paced championship match that kept the Arena México crowd in awe at the risks taken and counters here. Zeuxis was so intense throwing the champ around. Loved the brutal lungblower and tope suicida--she made it clear she was determined to retain her title. Mercedes, however, proved why she's considered one of the best in the world, countering with her own explosive moves and ring intelligence. The finish was especially memorable when as Zeuxis attempted a top-rope powerslam, Mercedes reversed it mid-air into a crossbody for the pin to runaway with her sixth belt. Love how Mercedes match's lately end out of nowhere."
[4.0] "Honestly this match didn't hit for me. The finish also felt rushed. Mercedes did her job well but her opponent needed carried for most of the match. She looked very slow out there, also looked like she maybe got injured. Also yet another championship for Mercedes. Her 6th title during this run which is just severe overkill at this point. How does this help the rest of the division? Who does this benefit except Mercedes? Who has she actually elevated in this Women's division? I can't get invested in this at all"
[5.0] "Another title win for Mercedes, that was a nice sprint! The match was very short, and obviously below some other international matches that Mercedes have in her resumé, but it was good while it lasted, an ok experience. Together with the Okada match, the crowd didn't seemed to care a lot about this one, they were very quiet during the match, and just not so interested, but there's a big difference between those matches, this was much better and faster overall. Zeuxis got a lot of action, and controlled most of the match, but Mercedes eventually won after a bomb near the corner, a good unexpected finish - {**1/2}"
[7.0] "Too short to really get to the next level - which is shameful from TK as it's the only women's match on the card and the only world championship on the card - but the hard hitting action was very fun, Mercedes is very clearly the wrestler of the year for me, the finish was spectacular and the post-match was great. The suplex with all the belts was so awesome. I believe this was my first impression of Zeuxis and I'd like to see more of her work going forward. Please, TK, start booking more than one women's match every week. You have the roster."
[8.0] "A great little sprint where both women really put their whole bodies into their offense; the dive from Zeuxis and the powerslam bump on the apron Mercedes took were standouts, but in general they kept at it from the hot start until the finish. Mone does a great job looking believable and yet can stooge just enough to let comebacks and cutoffs go off. Loved the finish, a really believable flash reversal that was somewhat reminiscent of the move she put away Hayter with and left her just as shocked as the crowd. Best match on the show up to this point despite being the shortest. ***3/4"
