[6.0] "Pretty fun at times, but seems to regularly grind to a halt where it should start quickening the pace, plus a very lackluster finish. I don't hate these huge multi-man matches where you essentially do repeated one-on-one's, but this match never really went past that. I think part of my issue with this match is that it should be SO much better given the starpower. There's nothing offensive here, but you have names like Adam Cole, Bandido, Brody King, Hechicero, Kyle Fletcher Volador Jr. & Takeshita all in ONE match. That result should be so much better than what we've got here. Overall a fine match, but still disappointing. The finish was such a disappointment, too. I can't see the logic behind ending this match like that at all."
[7.0] "Man, this is such a wild match on paper. On the screen, though, it was fun. Nothing absolutely incredible, but definitely a fun time that got FOURTEEN people a spot on the card, which I do appreciate with this being the first AEW event in Mexico. Specifically in Arena Mexico, no less."
[4.0] "Not really much of anything. A match between so many people was destined to feel convoluted and unfocused. Not bad, just a little bit to bloated to give any through line time to develop. The finish was good and payed off what was settted up on the build up to it, even if Arena Mexico hated the guts out of the atlantians."
[2.0] "This might be a hot take but I absolutely hated the concept of this match, which honestly just led me to not really be able to get into the match at all. The action itself wasn't good enough to really get me into the match concept. There's just really no reason ever to have a 14man tag match like this unless it's like a run of the mill Dynamite, Raw, etc. This was a terrible use of the talent here for a show that's supposed to be a spectacle. TK has done a lot better match making this calendar year, but these huge/unnecessary "All Star Tags" need to be drastically reduced, and booked when appropriate."
[6.0] "[2.75*] Match was a mess, but a really fun one too. Of course it wasn't beautiful to watch but I really enjoyed a lot of the things they did. Good, fun stuff. Would've not been my opener tho, it probably would've suited better down the middle of the show."
[5.0] "Expected a longer match and some more action from some people, like Takeshita did basically nothing. Brody, Bandido and Hechicero were the best of the match, but the clunky ending out of nowhere didn't do it for me."
[8.0] "Boy, there sure were a lot of people in this match but most of them did really well for themselves. Hechicero was particularly great as usual, Brody King a standout as well. I liked Volador in the match, though he was not maybe pushing himself to his best work. Garcia also did really well. I am tired of Adam Cole on my TV."
[7.0] "The 14-Man Tag was fun. I thought this match showcased everybody from the AEW side and the CMLL side. Atlanis Jr. was gettin g the Roman Reigns 2015 treament as the fans were disapproving him and raining down boo's on him., But the in-ring action was very fun. I like this match because they get to have a mixture of different styles go at it in this match. The legendary Atlantis Sr. was in this match as well with his other counterpart. CMLL has been a very exciting promotion this year, and since this AEW partnership came together, it has just been a fun partnership as both sides are thriving because of it."
[5.0] "The presentation of this version of the Don Callis Family is great. I'm hoping that Fletcher becomes TNT champion and gets the proper booking he's deserved. This match was chaotic in a good way since it's a 14 man tag match. There wasn't anything that great in this match and limiting the time Takeshita/Fletcher are in the ring will hurt a match."
[7.0] "A really fun opening match that had Lots of feuds intertwined in this match such as Cole vs fletcher, Alexander vs king, FTR vs the Atlantis family and obviously CMLL feuds that I don't know enough about to comment on. The match was really good with obviously lots of guys in the ring it was going to be hard for everyone to be showcased but I feel they did a great job and everyone got ample time to get some stuff in and work the cores nice to also see some teases of matches the could run in future like Take vs Bandido with lots of cool spots like double moonsault slams from Templario and Bandido on Fletcher and Take for a 2 count, Excellent 1v1 from Hechicero and Bandido and my personal favourite spot of the match was Brody King doing a hurricanrana and the a Tope. The finish was great to see with Atlantis SR stealing the win off Dax who disrespected him and his son last week to a huge pop which became funny when it turned to boos when he was saved from the beatdown post match by JR from a hot as fuck crowd great opener with Hechicero, Bandido, Brody, Templario, and Fletcher in particular. all standing out big time . Also Adam Cole being so over was great to see (***3/4)"
[7.0] "This was fun, no? I really enjoyed how well they were able to mesh the AEW x CMLL tag style, without making anyone look weak. I do believe however, it could have gone with your Atlantis Jr. getting the pin. He's being boo'ed for a reason. ***1/2"
[4.0] "This kind of match lacks far too much coherence and interest in my eyes. It's nice to see all those names and some nice moves, but it really feels like a live event and not a Dynamite match. In-ring quality: 1/4. Stakes: 0.25/2. Justification: 0.25/1. Place on the card: 0.5/1. Suspense: 1/1. Bonus/malus: none. Total: 4/10. Match seen on AEW Plus."
[5.0] "Started out promising despite it being a match that was always at risk of being a mess. It would have been acceptable if it was more of a spot fest but as it was it was fairly dull..... and a mess."
[7.0] "Very impressive that they could have a 14 man tag team match, with so many interconnecting stories, with everyone getting at least a moment to shine. No surprise, Hechicero stood out in a big way, 3.5 stars"
[7.0] "This was really fun. The crowd had a great time and the unrestrained chaos worked really well here. This crowd really loved Adam Cole which was so nice to hear."
[8.0] "I enjoyed this match. Everyone got some cool spots in and there were a few noticeably impressive spots. Bandido I remember was very impressive in this match, and Brody when he hit a hurricanrana. The crowd was very into it, but it was a hot crowd in general. I think the fans dislike Atlantis because he's a nepo case allegedly."
[6.0] "Very fun mess, the crowd was very participative here, having a different reaction for everyone, and the match was very fun but also extremely chaotic, due to the huge amount of people involved. The tag wasn't necessary, so everyone just entered the ring and had their isolated moments, it was nice. The fact that Atlantis Jr. was on the babyface team is a fun confusion, I know that a lot of people couldn't understand why he was getting booed, and this honestly made the experience very fun! Hechicero was cheered many moments, and of course shined, and the fact that Atlantis (dad and son) were getting booed, made many heels receive a rare pop, like Kyle Fletcher, wild scenes. Adam Cole received a fantastic pop, but his first appearance was him falling alone, an ugly moment. Bandido and Templario also received a very cool reaction, but the pinfall was made by Atlantis, which received a heat, but I liked it, that was clearly intentional - {**3/4}"
[8.0] "A great opener absolutely loaded with top-tier talent (and Adam Cole, but he was extremely over and not bad in this match so it's fine). Tons of great little sequences across the competitors, with great stuff out of Hechicero, Bandido, Brody, Templario, and Fletcher in particular. It was really funny seeing how much Arena Mexico really fucking hates Atlantis Jr. to the point that they're booing his legend father too just by association and cheering anybody that beats his ass. Just really enjoyable stuff top to bottom with an excellent crowd. ***3/4"
[7.0] "This was a very fun opener with some great spots, some fun character dynamics (Fletcher and Cole's feud is building nicely), a hot crowd and a very scary spot where Templario and Josh Alexander could have gotten themselves killed. I enjoyed the match a lot and wish it had went a little longer and had a different finish, as the crowd in this building were very down on the Atlantises and the booing impacted the narrative of the final stretch. Not sure why as I've only seen a few matches from each."
