Seriously just racking my brain I can't think of any other match that had such athleticism and acrobatics on display. But also feel like that was pretty icing on a cake without any flavor. In my head this isn't much different from the Ricochet-Ospreay spots that I love but idk when I watch this I don't see a crazy one upmanship match. I just see two amazing incredible super human women doing awesome spots because they're awesome."

[9.0] "I thought this match was awesome. I mean, give credit where it's due. A match does not have to be a performance of flawless technique where everything looks perfect. It's supposed to look like a fight. You ever see a fight? They are not usually very pretty.. Kelani is so athletic and always has such great form, I just love watching her out there. And Sol, Sol is super athletic as well and just so lovable. Love her finish or hate it, you can't NOT give the woman props for nailing it the way she did off the top rope. That was unbelievable. Props also to Kelani for being in just the right position with perfect timing. These two killed it in this match and I thoroughly enjoyed it."
[9.0] "I get this may not be for most, but I personally loved this. The sol snatcher may look a little unrealistic, but when someone does a move that athletic and THAT hard to pull off, I'm going to praise it because I feel like that's doing a disservice to Sol, imo. I thought this was even better than their match at heatwave. Just very good overall with an even better finish. I wish they let sol defend the NA title so much more man."

[2.0] "This was a 'car crash'-type of a spotfest, but worked by two people who are athletic enough, but not skilled enough to actually pull it off. Out of so many spots they did here, only a few looked actually good and I'd love to see them done by better pro-wrestlers who would make them jaw-dropping and memorable for all the right reasons. Go-go-go nature of it wasn't a part of the story, they were just going fast for the sake of going fast, which made a few certain spots to be not as good as they could've been. It's a shame that modern trainers, people in position of power/influence and young pro-wrestlers themselves don't take pride in skill requirement and attention to timing, pacing, precision, footwork and detail that makes spotfests like this live forever, so hopefully this piece of play-wrestling will serve as a valuable learning experience for any curious fans to learn for themselves is the difference between great spotfests and matches with a 'bunch of spots'."

While it was still marred with awkward transitions and no room for calling anything on the fly, these two are better performers now. I don't get the hate for the Sol Snatcher, though. Yes, she needs to place it better but that will come with time."

They were just kinda floating around at the start but then something clicked for them. Surprisingly well coordinated spots here and good character moments like Kelani going for the pin twice in a row after that splash. Sol Snatcher always looks sick when you dont see the opponent clearly gearing up for it and unfortunately the camera was on Kelani more. Still liked this match a lot! ***1/4"

It never looks good and the inverted flip does nothing for the move. The other issue is a rehearsed sequence early in the match where Ruca goes for some half baked leg sweep and never comes close. There was some really good spots and some flipping for flipping sake but it was fun to watch."

The only thing is that Ifelt at multiple moments in the match that Sol Ruca was waiting for Kelani Jordan. It was sometimes obvious that she carefully placed herself to take a spot. Besides that, it was absolutely perfect."

The super Sol Snatcher to end the match was great too, even if it looked a bit choreographed (like some of the athleticism to begin the match). The Zaria interference haulted some of the momentum at one point, even if I understand it will advance a storyline."

It was over-rehearsed and over choreographed. The spots look cool but they weren't anything special as I already saw hundreds of times before in many greater wrestlers. These two women aren't on that level. The finish looked ridiculous and it reflected exactly how over choreographed this match was. Nevertheless, it was still fun to watch. But it was hard to rate higher than 6."

But this was not a classic. It had some good sequences but was sloppy and slow in parts with a bad finish. Also, we need about a year without referee ejection spots; just done way too often. I'm at ***1/4 on this one which makes me a fan of it but I feel like a hater given how overrated their matches are."

Look at how she lost her title to Fallon Henley in that gauntlet match, and since then she has worked her way diligently to get in this spot to try and get the title back. I think if how I wanted to see the match laid out came to fruition, it would have made this better than their first encounter last year in Toronto at heatwave. The Zaria spot was weird too, even tho I understand it for storyline purposes for the eventual Zaria Sol Ruca feud. With that said this was still a good time. I can watch these two wrestle forever. ****"

This is not a main event match, it's a match made to start the show and keep the crowd on fire, and both Jordan and Sol did that job perfectly. Congrats for them, and the end was insane. Better than the first match they had tho, even with them looking a bit similar."

A ok collection of moves done to look cool. Very choreographed, complete lack of selling and extremely poorly paced and on top of that they jumped the shark after the spear which should of been the finish. But they just couldn't help themselves and had to get more "oooohs" for no reason. Sol's finisher is horrendous. Not a good match at all."

I enjoyed the jocking for position at the start of the match but it's lack of intensity did make it feel a bit overly choreographed. Lots of great big spots and near falls that got the crowd on their feet. The inclusion of having Zaria getting ejected so close to the finish felt a bit weird when theirs no pay off and then the Sol Snatcher felt just a tad out of position but luckily Kelani Jordan was quick to make the save. Overall really good match"

[9.0] "Really, this was just a great match with nothing bad I can think of to say about. Kelani did an absolutely fine job in her own right, but Sol Ruca looked like a total star here. Her athleticism and theatrics were on full display, and to her credit she's capable of pulling off some truly extraordinary stunts, maybe more so than any woman in WWE yet. It did come across as somewhat choreographed at times though, but it wasn't a big deal. The finish was a fittingly insane stunt, and it's just crazy to see how far the women's division in WWE has come over the last 10 years. And if the gals in WWE have just decided that 2025 is just going to be the year of bangers for them, I don't have a problem with that. Either way, this was a great match that made Sol Ruca look amazing, almost seeming like she's destined to become a huge face in the WWE women's division in the near future. ****1/2"

Just a relentless stream of choreographed spots strung together with no narrative weight. Both wrestlers are clearly athletic and capable of executing visually impressive maneuvers, but that's about where the praise ends. Every "clever" counter felt painfully telegraphed, with obvious repositioning and no real consequences from any impactful offense. The match lacked any sense of urgency or realism, resembling more of a performance than a fight.. The finish, already infamous online, epitomized everything wrong with this style. There was effort and athleticism, but not wrestling. We've stretched the definition to its breaking point."

Everything else was pretty bad, moves for the sake of moves wrestling that's the opposite of my cup of tea. A lot of the sequences here look overly cooperative, the worst offender being the most convoluted finisher I think I've maybe ever seen. It's a shame, because there's moments here that show promise. If they laid these moves in, made the big moves work in the context of the match, it'd be fine."

[3.0] "I had seen the gif of the finish online which I hated but I thought I should give the match a chance so did my rare visit to the world of sports entertainment. That was a mistake, a significant one. Credit where it is due, these lasses are very athletic and can do a bunch of good looking stuff. A whole bunch of stuff the main roster top dogs aren't going to let them do but stuff nether the less. At no point do you sense any sort of struggle or fight, it is just one spot to the next. What is most remarkable was that this fanbase seem to be eating up what they perceive and critisise other companies for. They would lose their fucking mind if they watched any classic PWG and this is an overly rehearsed soulless version of that. And that final spot? Good lord, just the absolute drizzling shits. No one can explain it, the best defense I can find is nothing much more than "because it looks cool". This is wrestling only in the loosest possible sense."

This time, the crowd was happy when the referee kicked her out of ringside. Since they each have a victory, are we going to have a third match? The crowd shouted "NXT" or "This is awesome.""

That wasn't the case tonight, everything went well, and both Sol and Kelani have a bright future. They should turn that rivalry into more matches."

[3.0] "So, this match is a bit strange for me. Modern WWE is not my favorite cup of tea but they do often have fun matches sprinkled in, and I tend to think their women's matches are particularly high quality, their women's division is one of the things they do best in my opinion. And there are elements of that here, both women are presented well, they have distinctive looks and there is a feeling of some importance around their match. And I think they had exactly the match they meant to, and generally it seems like that match was well received, the crowd seemed to like it (though some of the crowd reactions sounded pretty fake to my ear). However, on a personal level, I greatly disliked both the style and execution of this match. In a strange moment, it felt oddly like the match had been planned out by a certain pair of superkicking brothers, or perhaps a certain bruv, because this match was pretty much only about ATHLETICS. And don't get me wrong, both of these two women are great athletes, they wanted nothing more than to show off the athletic things they could do that others could not. But beyond some neat athletics, I unfortunately didn't find much I enjoyed here. They started out with an extended dodge-fu sequence, where both wrestlers try a wide variety of complex attacks and do a bunch of equally complex dodges, ending in a stalemate because they are soooooo even. Even at the best of times I dislike this kind of sequence but this stood out as particularly irritating because of how badly contrived some of the exchanges were, in many cases one wrestler would start their dodge before the other even started their attack, so the attacker would just dumbly attack the empty air, all for the sake of completing the rehearsed sequence. That set the tone for the whole match for me. Hardly any move looked like it was designed to actually do any damage, and at no time did the wrestlers convey to me that they were trying to win the match. The ending was the worst for me. Sol Ruca is on the top rope, facing out, and she flips forward but pushes backwards, and on her way down she catches Kelani for an RKO type cutter. It seemed painfully obvious that the only way such an improbable move could work was with the full cooperation of your opponent, and Kelani dutifully stuck her head right into the cutter for no clear reason. So Ruca is hitting herself with a truly heinous back bump just so she can lightly graze her opponent with an awkward looking cutter? Please miss me with such spots, they are just not for me. I will give a few points because there was a lot of effort involved and I do think it got over well with the crowd, the match is well rated after all, and there were a few spots that actually looked very good (the top rope X Factor facebuster was great looking). However, all in all, this was an example of wrestling that I just don't enjoy, and if as they kept screaming on commentary this is "the future of wrestling", then I suppose I am in for a lot of future annoyance."
Ekneret wrote on 28.05.2025:
[6.0] "This match was satisfying to watch. These are two great athletes who surely have a great future, especially Sol Ruca. The biggest problem I have with the match is the structure, like, why did Sol Ruca use a pointless submission hold a minute into the match after several flip-flops from both wrestlers? I also feel like they didn't take their time enough and that it was a succession of spots. Also, Kelani should do a better job of selling her fatigue, or the blows she takes. However, given their young ages, I can't wait for them to better understand the space in the ring, timing, and selling, and for us to deliver incredible matches in two or three years."

Then I listened to a review show on wrestlepurist and they were talking about how this style of match is very over but these two felt very mechanical in it and that you could see them thinking through it. I rewatched this and yeah they were correct. I wasn't expecting smoothness like you see out of 10+ year vets but this was worse than their 1st encounter imo because they seemed to think through this one much more. Maybe it was the pressure of living up to their 1st match but this was a good match that was hampered by the work being too cooperative"

Spc considering that these two women have 5 years of experience COMBINED! They could book the ending better or even two minutes longer but they didn't for some obvious reasons. Given the true bookin n story, these two would easily outshine the bests that this company has ever seen. Beautiful work, nastier than the last time, but more intense at the same time. Anybody would go crazy if this was in another company and being displayed by two men, but yet here we are, some people complaining and naggin about what could happen and why did they were close to botch sometimes when they're trying to wrestle at the speed rate of two cheetahs fighting. Come on! Enjoy it... Absolutely killed it! Amazing amazing amazing. This better be a long time and years to come feud and soon to be a trilogy. They're gettin better and better. (Not a 10 point, but given the context, the lack of time and the experience, I'd gladly rate it a 10)"

[1.0] "This was slightly better than their last PPV outing but my god, these women are not wrestlers. The Sol Snatcher is the worst finisher in modern wrestling, it doesn't make any sense, there's no mechanic of how it works or how it can hurt and Jordan literally dives into it (without looking like she's trying to attempt something) because it cannot work without active immersion breaking engagement. Ruca in general does not know how to communicate anything beyond highly choreographed athleticism. She's very flexible and moves impressively - she's able to do things that most wrestlers can't do - but she can't strike, can't sell, can't tell a story. This is fine in some respect because she's still new and learning, but when her current approach is getting such acclaim and title accumulation, how is she going to progress forwards? Jordan also seemed to be acting more heelish but couldn't commit. The bit in the opening stretch where Ruca preemptively does a dodge because she's obviously following the plan to a tee drove me insane. The Sasha/Bayley "homage" doesn't read as paying tribute, but coping better wrestlers (like they insultingly did with Ospreay and Ricochet last match) doing it worse, and not understanding why those matches were able to work. I really do despise this pairing."

Of course, they weren't the ones who structured the match themselves in all likelihood, but the match was what it was. It started with legitimately over a minute of overwrought athleticism without a single move connecting. There was no intent behind any of their moves in this sequence or in the rest of the match, it existed purely as a demonstration of the cool things they could do, with no thought behind the application of these cool things. There was no escalation, these women were not able to make it at any point seem like they wanted to win a wrestling match, which is really bare minimum stuff that many wrestlers fail at, but none to the extent of Ruca and Jordan here. In all likelihood they are the future of wrestling, and the future is going to be really fucking annoying."

Certain callbacks to their previous match with the athletic and gymnastics for the fast start leading into the countered Poisonrana spot, it was great action from the get-go. The closing stretch also worked well for the story, as Zaria helped Sol not eat a split-legged moonsault and that almost being the reason Sol lost, but she prevails regardless and retains. Having a fiery Tampa crowd, hungry to watch some actually good wrestling after the abhorrent Saturday Night's Main Event, also helped the match a ton. Awesome stuff. ****1/4 (4.25)."

"This is a purely moves match that rings quite hollow to me. Lots of the sequences aren't exactly sequences at all but are instead set-ups to the moves they are attempting to hit. The in-between is non-existent, feels way too choreographed than even their first match. A lot of the skeleton of this match is completely out there and is very hard to ignore. Structure wise it's strange, Kelani is the heel but shies away from actually playing one. Even the moment where Zaria moves Sol out the way to help her is confusing because the payoff is getting a babyface ejected from ringside. I also believe the Sol Snatcher is much better when it is a surprise instead of a move that takes 15 seconds to set up. I don't have a problem with counter sequences, however when they do not look believable in the slightest they evoke zero emotion within me. If you're going to obviously counter something, the opponent has to at least look like they are attempting to hit the move. Way too much standing and waiting for the other to get into position and not nearly enough moments where it looks like they are trying to win a wrestling match. (**.5)"

With another year of experience under their belt, they were able to work out some of the kinks from that match where things looked a little too choreographed at times and this time more confident in what they were doing. Again their athleticism shined as they were able to pull off some visually impressive moves with ease. Kelani and Sol work well together. Nice finish with that Sol Snatcher from the top rope. Sol retains, which was the right way to go as the teased breakup between her and Zaria seems to be coming soon. 8/10"

The one guy a few reviews below nailed with the Blake Christian comp to Sol Ruca, especially with how cotrived her finisher is, made even worse here since it was off the rope. Like yeah, the flip and move that she's doing is impressive, but it still looks pretty dumb. Eh."
