[8.0] "I was incredibly excited for this match and was not disappointed. Quick, vicious and super intense this is probably the best Superfly title match there's been. Mayu's obviously Mayu but Yuzuki is rapidly becoming a star and rapidly developing genuine presence (Giulia seems to be as much of an influence on her as Mayu). The booking of this match is flawless too with it being much quicker but also going longer than their first singles match in Stardom. The psychology is fantastic as well due to the fact that Mayu gives Yuzuki plenty but also makes it clear she's still the Alpha in their relationship by doing such things as her classic 'I'm stealing and improving upon one of your signature moves' spot. Post-match is great and crackles with possibilities too; Mayu puts Victoria over hard and states she now wants to tag with her and Yuzuki just about manages to stop hyperventilating at the thought long enough to accept the invitation."

"Sometimes i feel that Mayu can only excel in one type of match; when she is fighting from below. when she is in a position of obvious superiority than her opponent, is almost awkward. Still, she is one of the greats in the women's japanese scene. Yuzuki will be a great wrestler, no doubt about it."

When Iwatani is motivated, she plays great matches like the match against Nanae, but when she's not motivated, she only plays matches of this level. Is this just the whims of a genius?"

[8.0] "I'm not talking based in the look, you can notice clearly that this Yuzuki is a rookie. It's the first match I'm seeing from her and I'm honestly surprised with her talent at this age, but the first thing that made me notice was the way she conduct the match: bad. Don't take me wrong, it's normal, she'll not be the best in the world at 20, nobody is, but the lack of some facial expression and some bad selling she did almost told me her age. Anyway, I'm not here just to criticize, I need to tell how good she was at telling the story between her and Mayu and how great she was in the beggining throwing a quick pace to the match, making it more special and unique. That was a good match between fan vs idol and I hope to see a rematch in the future. This same match in 10 years will fucking rocks."

[9.0] "Loved the way this match started, took the fight to each other right off the bat. There was a sense of urgency from Yuzuki I haven't seen in her time in marigold thus far. She was determined. The most confident she has looked in a wrestling ring. She wanted to show Mayu how far she has come since their time together in stardom by beating her and playing spoiler to Mayu look to win singles good for the first time in marigold. Often times it would look like Yuzuki was a step ahead of Mayu, just for Mayu to show why she's the icon of women's wrestling. A hell of a sprint in their first part of the story between the two. Yuzuki did everything she could but it wasn't enough. Now in her time teaming with Mayu based off of what happened after the match, I'm sure she will continue to learn from her idol in hopes of becoming even stronger in the future for when they eventually wrestle again and beat her this time. This was great. ****1/4"

[8.0] "Really good match for the Superfly title. Yuzuki defends against her mentor Mayu, their first singles match in over a year that was well worth the wait. Yuzuki has improved so much since then, she's no longer the rookie just happy to be in there with Mayu, she wants to make a name for herself. They started off hot and kept that pace going the entire match. A very entertaining match with Mayu and Yuzuki always trying to one up each other, an interesting story that made perfect sense. Yuzuki goes for the triple moonsaults, Mayu blocks the last one. Mayu then does the triple moonsaults, hitting all three for the win to become the new champion. I was surprised this match only went 10 minutes, with the 15 minute limit I figured they would cut it as close as possible. The important thing is that Mayu gets her first of many titles she's going to win in Marigold and Yuzuki comes out this looking strong despite the loss. 8/10"

I get that it's likely a beginning of a longer story, but besides Yuzuki getting beaten with what I assume is her own move, it just didn't have anything to make it even remotely memorable."

[8.0] "I want to start by saying I think this was great, but it does feel like they could've done more. They started the match off hot and just never upped the gear. The story being told felt like Mayu telling Yuzuki "whatever you can do, I can do better", which I like. That was capped off by Mayu winning with the triple Moonsault that Yuzuki failed to hit earlier in the match. 4.25. But I know they could've had an even better one."

[7.0] "Fantastic sprint, excellent intensity and hard hitting action, although out of control and dangerous in a couple of places. This is another match that underdelivered on what I was expecting. I had this at a very strong ***1/2, another match that even with the 15 minute time limit and high speed approach felt like it was missing key chapters and sequences. What we got was really damn good, but it felt like an amuse bouche rather than starter, let alone the main course. Cannot wait for the rematches though, I hope there are lots of them!"

Victoria Yuzuki came in fired up like never before and gave Mayu Iwatani everything she had, but Mayu proved why she's still the best. The match told a beautiful story: Yuzuki has grown, but so much of her style is rooted in Mayu's influence."

[8.0] "About as good a sub-10-minute match as you'll find. Iwatani may be the best wrestler in the world today, so she brought it. But Yuzuki more than held her own with Marigold's newest addition, and you could tell how much this one meant to her. The result was never really in question, but that doesn't matter; these two went out there and balled out. I have a feeling we'll see a lot more of these two in the future, and I can't wait till we see it again. 4 stars."

[9.0] "I don't think I have seen Yuzuki ever so hyped up for a match. She went out from the start and just killed it against a Mayu that is in top form. They used every second they had in the ring, put all their shit in and killed it. One hell of a match and one hell of a ppv debut for Mayu in Marigold"
