I felt Sasha should have been the one to end Becky's reign. But Becky being the face of the women's division at the time. I felt it made more sense. It was a fantastic match but as said. It'll be sadly be overshadowed."

[8.0] "The Sasha Banks effect was real. Becky Lynch's title reign was in dire need of saving, and her matches with Sasha brought just that. Without these two solid encounters, her run might have been remembered solely for its mediocrity. This match was genuinely enjoyable. Sasha's return to form has been a highlight--she's wrestling with an intensity and crispness we haven't seen from her in years. Maybe that break really was what she needed. On the other hand, Becky still delivers fairly average in-ring performances. At least this time, she managed not to botch a chair shot. This would have been the perfect time to put the title on Sasha. There's a risk her momentum takes a hit from this loss. Alternatively, WWE could use it to push her into a more aggressive, focused heel arc and crown her champion at the next opportunity. Let's hope for the latter."

Banks might legitimately be equal to Foley when it comes to understanding this stipulation. I won't spoil anything but I love the spots, they are incredibly creative in how they are setup and executed. And it isn't brought down by a sluggish pace as is the problem with most modern HIAC matches. Great structure, great spots, a good amount of brutality and very enjoyable. I'm not sure if I should call this underrated but this needs to be talked about more when it comes to the best HIAC matches ever."

This one is brutal and tries to be innovative. You can feel the hatred for each other and the brutality is at its peak. The use of the cage is well exploited. Great stuff."

[9.0] "One of my favorite matches in WWE history. Also one of the best Hell in a Cell matches ever, with innovation, story, and animosity driving this battle to the point of being a genuine classic. The Diving Dropkick off the apron spot was one of the most impressive things that I have ever seen in a wrestling match. It also epitomizes what made this so special. Becky Lynch was at the height of her popularity, while Sasha Banks was desperate to prove that she should not be forgotten as the arguable best Horsewoman. They put it all on the line to prove superiority, with a seemingly endless supply of unforgettable moments. That includes the absurd Bexploder onto the chairs. The match-ending submission was a stellar display of how to put the finishing touches on a story, with Banks pulling at Lynch's hair and even trying to grab a steel chair before ultimately succumbing to defeat. Truthfully, one of the best matches I have ever seen. 4.75 stars, 9.5 out of 10."

The fighting spirit of Sasha in the disarm-her is a great ending too. To me, the best HIAC in recent years, and one of the best women matches. 10/10."

[9.0] "This was a very creative HIAC match with a shit ton of cool spots. The start to this was hot with Sasha attacking Becky before the cage even lowered to gain an advantage. Sasha slamming Becky's arm into the cage door was great stuff, even if the selling wasn't the best. Becky came back right after attacking Sasha's ribs by using the chain used to lock the cell to go after it. There are a ton of cool-looking meteores through chairs, tables and ladders in this, the table one was a really good near fall. In a match full of cool spots the best one was probably the one with the kendo sticks underneath the chair and Becky hit the dropkick. The ending was also hot with a explode suplex onto a ton of chairs and then got Sasha to tap to the disarm her.****1/2"

Outside of catching this level of depth, I'm not sure if my rating would be closer to the average or not, but I did, and as such, it's one of my 10 best matches of the decade. Next level psychology + great drama & action = 10/10."

[10.0] "Incredible opening match between Banks and Lynch here which for me is a real masterclass and one of the best matches we've seen with this stipulation as it had everything you're looking for in a HIAC match : intensity, good spots, a catchy rhythm with a crowd invested in the action and of course a story told that was quite exciting to follow from start to finish. This wasn't a HIAC match that was there just because the timing was right but because they deserved this stipulation following their rather personal rivalry that had been going on for two months now, they'd already had a solid bout at Clash Of Champions the month before and here it was just a hundred times better. Just the match I expected from them but they still managed to exceed my expectations, they let their creativity speak for themselves and executed their ideas perfectly. They got the crowd completely on board with what they were told between the ropes, there was some interesting psychology on Lynch's arm and the animosity between the two was electric. Everything from the pre-match brawl to the match itself was excellent, a brutal affair that was my favourite women's match of 2019 if you ask me."

Otherwise, I can't fault the violence, aggression, and creativity. All in all, a well done spotfest. ***1/4"

Becky and Sasha gave evrything they got, they used ladders, chairs, kendo sticks, cell door chain, table, the cell walls, and the outside of the cell, very versatile. Both ladies sold the moves perfectly for each other, great in ring psychology, sasha worked becky's arm perfectly, and becky sold the hell out of it. Not to mention that the big spots were very creative and memorable, like the apron dropkick, meteora t-the table, avalanche bexploder, apron meteora into the ladder etc... Becky was very brutal , and Sasha very vicious, Phenomenal match. 4.75[5}"

Sasha destroyed Becky with her explosive meteoras and so did Becky with her not less explosive Bexploders. Here Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch proved that they're capable of showing us some matches that can be considered as classics, even if main roster is holding their talent back most of the time. Even though I don't consider this one a classic, it was good. [4/5]"

Of course, I was happy with rain Becky, but I wanted Sasha to take the title after kambek, but alas, we always break off. It was obvious that the wrestlers hated each other. As usual, the best friends showed the best match. Like Sean and Triple H, like Dolph and the Miz, like so many others. As for me, Sasha is a very cool hill. I realized this when she was still in NXT. I miss such Hell In A Cell matches. Finally, I want to say that I am very sorry for Sasha... They constantly make Sasha look like a loser when she is definitely one of the best in the main roster."

They used weapons to make the match more intense, executed crazy moves namely Becky? s dropkick & bexploder onto the chairs & Sasha? s diving knee drop to squash her opponent through the table it was so good! I wish Sasha? d won to love more that I did but it was still damn great !"

It was like you could tell they remembered a bunch of spots to do and kinda just randomly crammed them into the match. That could describe a lot of WWE style plunder matches, but this one felt kinda egregious in that regard. Also the decision to have Sasha lose again was just bizarre, not a match for me at all tbh."
MaveDeltzer wrote on 18.10.2019:
[6.0] "A series of weapon spots with not much in between, none of which you could actually see because of the camera work. It all kind of defeats the purpose, and the only things you do get a good view of tend to look overly safe and weak. It's also really hard to buy these kind of matches being about grudges and so on when everyone is being so careful not to hit anyone in the head with a chair or draw blood. Fans will crucify the company if they allow that kind of thing but I think the fact remains that hardcore style matches in the WWE have been gimped beyond repair, and this is just another example. More drama would have made this better. As it stands, there wasn't much drama at all."

Becky & Sasha delivered creativity, innovation & dare-devilishness in droves. And while the rightful winner winning instead of the result we ended up with would have improved the match even more, not being that invested in the story allowed me to enjoy the match in such a self-contained manner it barely affected me."

Also I liked how they showed Sasha's desperation to become champion again as well as her obsession with being better than Becky. I loved the carnage. This is how you create a special hell in a cell match. The only negative point is that they no sold Becky arm and Sasha rib. But other than that everything else was great. For such a bullshit show, this was such a joy and such a great surprise. ****1/4"

They did a lot of innovative spots that you never see in Cell matches (the kendo stick chair spot), and they got *very* violent, with both taking some mean and crazy bumps. One thing I also loved was Sasha different meteoras within the match. Just great stuff, and imo the best WWE women? s match of the year, but the wrong person went over. Sasha needed the win. Still... ****1/2"

A ton of great spots beautifully meshed up with excellent storytelling. The use of the weapons was really creative, and that running dropkick by Becky onto Sasha sitting on a chair set up on the kendo stick was the best spot of the match. Sasha tapping out might be a bad decision, but the match itself was excellent and pretty much the only thing that was watchable on that horrible show. ****1/4"

It didn't really felt natural at all, they setup on spot and either do it and go for another and comeback to it later. This is a thing with the gimmick match in WWE is that people forget that they should wrestle and use the gimmick after not the opposite."
tomlawler wrote on 08.10.2019:

You wait 30 seconds, 1 minute and sometimes more and then you have a big spot. It starts again and again for 20 minutes so they lost me half of the game and it's a shame."
NastyYaffa wrote on 08.10.2019:
[7.0] "Comparing it to the first ever women's HIAC match in Sasha vs. Charlotte from 2016, this is nowhere near that level. The storytelling isn't nearly as strong (or loud, you could say) & the action isn't as compelling, but it's still very enjoyable stuff for sure. They go at it in pretty intense fashion, using the HIAC gimmick + all the weapons well. On par with their Clash of Champions meeting."

I recently watched the 2015 Becky vs Sasha match and Sasha showed how nasitly she could work over an arm and how adaptable she is in using her surroundings to suit that approach. And she did that again here by slamming Becky? s arm in-between the doors. Sasha hitting meteoras into the ladders and chairs was awesome, too. I? ve not been a fan of Becky for way over a year now with her performances being disappointing every single time but she seemed to have great chemistry with Sasha and she was really great here as a result. Both women really going all in on the big impact spots of the match added a ton to the match as well. The match was really good, even if it was basically a TLC match inside a cage. And I would say the match went on 5 minutes longer than it should? ve but that? s nitpicking. ****"

Could've used blood or slightly more plunder and brutality to really bump it up into the upper echelon. WWE plunder matches these days feel a tad impotent."

Might not have been the most organic match ever produced (for that's nearly impossible in this company), coming across a little too rehearsed, but they executed the plan to near perfection! A very pleasant surprise where both ladies came out looking good."

[6.0] "Ok I want to see this match after reading everybody speaks only about this match in the card, looks like the rest of the show wasn't too good. So here we go, the match starts good, with the attack before the bell and Sasha putting the people in the match, ok is the first match and you want the people to be in the match, perfect here. But then a lot of spots and some look really awful, Becky trowing the chair to Sasha and then wasting time going to the third rope while Sasha waits with the chair, NO! Becky you are in the second rope, jump from the second do it look as real as you can and then the table spot, Becky jumping to fall into the table, she nearly jumps over the table, look weird. Also some innovating but completly forgetable spots like the one with Sasha sit in the chair, just for a dropkick, not a big fall or something very special, too much time to prepare this spot. Others look better like the one with the ladder, because Sasha let the ladder there and then when the spot arrive you already forgot about this ladder and Sasha jumping with her knees, but a bit strange the three times she did it she never really attack with her knees Becky's face was always under the knees. We have also some good spots with the chairs, but if you take a look at the match are all spots, all chairs, too many, and kendo sticks, the rest of time they wasted throwing punches and always searching some spot to throw the opponent to the cell, there's was no wrestling, only spot after spot. Is sad in WWE people only give the girls good notes when they are in matches like this, a real wrestler can do this matches but is the normal ones when you prove how good you are and it seems you have to do this matches in WWE to make people think you are a good wrestler, I give them a 6 cause it really looked good in some moments, but not awesome, and WWE should look better than this."

[8.0] "It was good. Sasha took an incredibly disproportionate amount of hard bumps and at times it looked cruel. She really put in a lot of work and pain for Becky. A few inconsistencies with the early work on Lynch's left arm prevent a higher score. But certainly MOTN. Sasha is back and as Becky is not dropping for a long time as face of the brand, they need to be split."
arrancar wrote on 07.10.2019:
[5.0] "This was just very basic brawling work with rather generic hardcore spots thrown in. The spots eventually became more creative and a bit more gruesome -- mostly whenever Sasha was leading the match -- but there were still quite a few overly contrived moments where my suspension of disbelief was tested. What was especially stupid was Becky kicking out of the Meteora through the table. WWE table spots already look mega weak from a pure visual standpoint, but then Becky exacerbated that by making the booking of the tables look weak as well. And no, I don't think having a handful of "innovative" spots automatically makes a match great -- it just stops the match being outright mediocre and allows it to be one slight step above. **3/4"

Really innovative with weapons - that dropkick on the kendo stick-hung chair was AMAZING - never loses its steam or the crowd, and both women kill it all the way through. Of course I disagree with the booking outcome, but I do like the psychology of the finish itself; Sasha worked hard enough to sell that she couldn't reach the chair properly and yanking her hair was doing nothing, so she was stuck. I'm happy this was unencumbered by anything and was just violent and breathless. (****1/4)"

I wish they wrestled more and didn't just do the spot to spot that they did and they had some weird spot where one wrestler looked a bit dump like Sasha holding the chair for a while before Becky's dropkick but they crowd ate that so it worked.
