[6.0] "Suffers a bit from being on the same card as Masada/Higuchi who also worked a strike heavy match, but executed it better. KANON is really growing on me as a worker but I'm still holding out for the match that really allows him to shine through. 3.25 stars"
[6.0] "Two big men doing big men spots. Nothing really special about this one. This is incredibly biased but I was quite hoping for Yukio Naya to pick up the win to win the whole tournament but alas my hopes were crushed."
[6.0] "Solid match but nothing special. It just did not do much to keep my attention and it lacked a bit of the excitement necessary of a single elimination tournament match."
[5.0] "Thought this was pretty mediocre. Fairly standard action in this one with not much interesting going on. A lot of strikes as you'd expect from both guys, but to me this just lacked intensity. Not terrible by any means but I did find this to be a bit boring. **1/2"
[7.0] "If you squint, KANON's new look is pretty similar to Kensuke Office-era Katsuhiko Nakajima. Good big man back and forth. KANON is really breaking out."
[7.0] "I had a feeling that KANON, DDT's fresh recruit, would make a strong showing in this tournament. And he did. He's now qualified for the next round after a solid performance."
[8.0] "Match of the night for me, Naya was very impressive, but Kanon was good too. They gave it their all and the crowd gave them a well deserved ovation."
