[8.0] "Amazing technical catch wrestling here -- smooth transitions, realistic submissions, and highly enjoyable mat work that feels both competitive and authentic. A real showcase of skill. Sometimes I feel like I'm only Davey Boy's fan in the world, but I think his AJPW run is really incredible, he fits perfectly into the promotion's landscape and can show off here all his talent."
[8.0] "It may be hard to understand because I'm using a translation function. Recently, when I watch Zack or Greshom's technical matches (mainly during WrestleMania week), I often feel a strange sense of discomfort; the quality is high, but I don't find them all that interesting. But after watching this match, I realized what that discomfort was. Their matches contained at least a few humorous and silly elements. They weren't serious. I really hate how professional wrestling has become in recent years. This match between Davey and Hideki was very serious, and at the same time technical. And it wasn't ground fighting like in MMA, it was unmistakably professional wrestling wrestling. That's why I liked it."
[6.0] "I wasn't expecting to like this but ended up really enjoying it. DBS Jr has grown on me throughout the tournament; he's been doing roll up spots ever since he won via a flash pin early on. Little things like that really worked here. ***1/4"
[5.0] "This was technically fine but not my kind of match at all. Both guys spent the match rolling like it was a BJJ sparring session, just dull to me. **1/2"
[5.0] "Not really a fan of Dave Boy, found this match kinda slow and didnt really get engaged with it, hope the main event picture will change soon in AJPW."
