[7.0] "Solid enough but I didn't really buy into Jason Lee being a threat to YAMATO. The match didn't feel like it really escalated to a higher level."

[9.0] "This was another good match for YAMATO and it was again a different YAMATO. The match was built around YAMATO going back to his evil nature because he was forced to by Jason Lee who in previous matches had provoked YAMATO by using his old tricks and doing it quite successfully. YAMATO came here to prove that he has better skills as a villain. He was a little slower, started working more on the ground with Lee who also slowed down a little and tried to participate in YAMATO's game. The champion used his old tricks quite successfully and I like that even his facial expressions or some details in the matches changed, which shows a different side of the champion and it's very cool. Sometimes Jason copied YAMATO successfully, but it was also interesting to see the champion use things that were once used against him in matches, when he was heel. Especially it works with the slipper hold reversals. In the end YAMATO just proved that he is better than Lee as a heel and his tricks are stronger and I think the poison mist along with Lee's choke highlighted that perfectly. Good storytelling, lots of references and details for people who remember those old days of YAMATO as a heel and it's very, very nice."

[8.0] "This match was about two storylines; Yamato becoming "Evil Yamato" to defeat Z-Brats, and, Jason Lee using Yamato's own speciality, a sleeper hold, to choke out not only Yamato but his Paradox Stablemate Kagetora as well in two consecutive matches. Lee swaggers to the ring swinging his half of the Twin Gate belts while Yamato comes to the ring bearing a record breaking 6 keys on his the Dream Gate belt and a heavy dose of eyeliner as well. This means it's Evil Yamato Time. Evil Yamato grinds elbows into thighs during leg locks. Evil Yamato follows up your low blow with one of his own. Evil Yamato disapears under the ring only to come out on the other side and attack you. Evil Yamato will climb the top turnbuckle with you on his back, both hooks into a sleeper, a drop onto your back...twice. However, Lee is just obliged to meet Yamato at his game as well, going to the mat with holds and llaves of his own against the well renowned BJJ practitioner. Near the 20 minute mark, ref takes a bump and the two go to the outside where Lee disapears for his own subterrarean adventure beneath the ring. Lee emerges to hit Yamato with black mist he had squirreled away in his cheeks. I forgot to mention Evil Yamato also sprays red mist of his own and does so. Now, coming full circle, Yamato locks in a sleeper of his own as Lee taps. Fantastic in-ring storytelling even if it got a bit goofy there at times. The mist was well done and made for a crimson mask of a different sort."
